Rashford goal from the penalty spot gave Manchester United a temporary lead. Surely this match will be even more interesting with Chelsea who are already behind. It's only the beginning of the first 20 minutes, I'm sure Chelsea can catch up.  Wink

^  I need a goal from Leicester for 1.5 points and another one for Arsenal to make it 0 - 2 for 3 points.  Grin

And classic Mourinho jab.  Love it.  He should get back to management already.  Lol.

Edit:   Iiiiit's coming!  Free kick for LCFC must outside the box...  Nope.

Edit:  C'moooon mofos!!!!

Edit:  Chelsea's playing better than United so far...

Edit: PENALTY!!!  ...  1 - 0 United.  Hold please.

Jose Mourinho today stated that Manchester City's B team has a better chance of wining EPL than Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Appearing as a pundit on Sky Sports ahead of United, Chelsea and Arsenal's first games, Mourinho was asked how many teams can challenge of title.
He said: "Four. Man City, Tottenham, Liverpool, and then Man City B team."

I know ManU, Chelsea and Arsenal are not on their good times but I still believe they'll be above ManCity team B in the league table.

I don't know. Man City B team played several times throughout last season... there's not so much a B team as a A- team in my opinion. Of course, I don't think Chelsea/Arsenal/Utd are THAT bad, but any team would struggle with City's second string IMO. I'm a bit annoyed it's also the opinion of Mou haha.

What do you guys think of Arsenal? Keeping all their new boys on the bench against a hungry Newcastle? I'd definitely have put money on the Magpies had I known all those guys were benched but then 0-0 at half time will encourage Emery for the kill later...

The real shocker is Leicester getting huge possession and twice the chances of Wolves... anyway, second half ongoing.

I won my bet, nice...But I messed up my prediction in the FJ majestic 7 contest, I picked Son as Spurs goalscorer but I completely forgot that he couldn't play today because of a red card from last season ..bummer Roll Eyes
I got this right though. My pick was Kane and he scored twice. I think picking goal scorer is not very easy where no one knows even if the team will score. By the wa, congrats for the tri fold win.

I will be looking forward to my scorers to score today.

Leicester vs Wolverhampton should be interesting...  These two and Everton should be going after the top 6 and be taking it away from either Chelsea or Man United.  But more Chelsea than Man United.  IMHO.

Good win! I bet a single on Aston Villa last night at 10/1 and for the majority of the game I was ahead but you don't park the bus against a Champions League finalist with a proven goalscorer!
Also, in the 2-1, you just don't take the ball out of your 18-yard box as careless as Jack Grealish did, what was he thinking? LOL

My pick for tonight is another single, Chelsea. I actually think they've become really weak after the transfer season, I mean losing your BEST player by far and a key defender (though Luiz had to leave no matter what anyway)? But Í'm banking on emotion to carry them through -- Lampard at the helm, at least for a feel-good factor just as OGS had at United.

Utd are far stronger on paper, I loved Wan Bissaka last season but I think Pogba still in the team and their general wobbly defence means they're going to be disjointed.

Chelsea at a simple 3.65 is good for me.
Thanks for the comment, man  Wink I think i'm gonna go with a single as well. Good luck!

I was expecting Liverpool or Manchester City to end up at a draw in the first fixture.
Unfortunately for my betting they didn't. But we managed to see incredible football for both teams and the championship seems to be promising this season.

Reading you comment just made me laugh. The two best teams in Europe currently and best teams in english playing their very first match of the season then you predict a draw against a lesser, wicker and one of them were just promoted to the Premier league. Sound funny to me, Man City haven't lost their last 15 premier league matches and you expect them to loss to West Ham lol. Thanks you just made me laugh.

Anyways, guys, any feedback on the Man Utd vs Chelsea? I honestly don't know what to expect from these teams tomorrow. Man Utd ML? Over 2.5? BTTS? Either I see some comments about this game, or I'll just go for another parlay (Arsenal-Wolves-Man Utd @14.16 at the time of this post)  Grin

Oh man, COYS, I should have known my team loves to keep their fans on their toes. 2 goals in the last minutes,,, who else but our boy Harry Kane yes?

So, Sterling and Kane, 3 and 2 goals. And all in the last bits of the game. I think we are going to have an exciting season ahead!

Another amazing game played by the players of Manchester City today, I think it is quite bad for West Ham to be playing against Manchester City for their first game in this English Premier League season, the players of West Ham might be demoralize as they were totally thrashed by Manchester City in front of their home fans. I believe West Ham will not have an easy game against Brighton in their next match, as Brighton have also managed to beat Watford today.
I've not had the opportunity to watch the Brighton Vs Wattford highlight, but I watched the city-w.ham game and w.ham are not actually pushovers if you ask me, the first half was so shaky for city as w.ham made quite a good name for themselves, just that they couldn't find much space to make their efforts count, and yiunust have to forgive them, they can upset against best team on the land(England)

I feel West ham would beat Brighton by 2 goals to 1, I think I'm going to place a bet on this, I feel this would be the scoreline.

I was expecting Liverpool or Manchester City to end up at a draw in the first fixture.
Expectations not reached.
It's hard to find them drawing. The reason for the start of the competition they must really be able to get full points in each match. Therefore it will be difficult to find Liverpool or Manchester City to get a draw.

Took City-Liverpool-Tottenham parlay @1.96, and now I just need Spurs to also grab the 3 pts. #COYS
Good luck there. Hope Tottenham delivers the job

Finally a correct score for the first round. My prediction for Tottenham vs Aston Villa was 3 - 1 so got 3 points from superbrue. However it was stressful to see Tottenham one down but they recovered well. Kane got two goals!

@Pamoldar, what makes you think H. Kane would deliver? history doesn't favor him, remember it's not September yet lol my pick and yours have two similarities lets watch out for the outcome.
Well, seems like he had double luck today LOL however Sigurdsson and Pereyre did not score though 😥

I do not know man, let's hope he scores LOL

Congrats he did but I suppose Everton goalless draw just ruined your chance of winning the jackpot prize for matchday 1. I must say, I didn't see this coming, Tottenham scoring 3goals, Harry kane scoring twice in the timeframe of 4 minutes was another surprise. Thought the highest Tottenham could get was a draw after the game was still 1-0 in favor of Aston Villa at the 70th minute mark. Well congrats to Tottenham fans here game ended 3-1 in favor of you guys.

Hat trick for Sterling too, Pep is developing him really well, he seems to get better & better every season. I wonder what odds you can get for him to be the top scorer in the PL this season. Might be worth a small bet Smiley
Raheem has developed into the player we all thought(knew)he will become, and a whole lot of credit must undoubtedly go the pep guardiola, the way he sets up his team favors sterling quite well, and he has so much faith in the lad, he plays almost all the games and hardly ever gets substituted.

I think sterling would top city's goal scoring chat this season, except of course if kun Aguero has something to say on that, on raheem being the epl top scorer, it's really worth a bet, though the competition would be stiff, salah, mane, Kane, Aguero, let's see how it unfolds

I knew it was bad luck to bet big on my team's first game against a promoted side,,, it was quite stupid too only 1.1 and I bet almost all the money I wanted to put aside for this season. I thought it was a safe 10%,,, why Spurs why?

Never mind. Half time only. Plenty of time left ;P But can we not give Aston Villa so many attempts?

Can't watch but reading live update and I guess City are on their way to 3 points now. I made a really dumb prediction so this is completely out of my hands now haha.

I am hoping for a surprise Villa smackdown though. All those new players... And a couple of them to me at least are not bad at all.

Oh and yeah SyGambler is an awesome punter, glad he's getting more attention!;)

I’m going to watch the Spurs vs Villa game. Expecting Villa to get beaten badly, they’re starting 6 new players in this game so I’m not expecting them to be a great team unit need, that takes a while. Let’s see what happens.

Man City continued from where they stopped last season, Meanwhile a few numbers where absent from the line up, it's still an effortless win.

Tottenham are behind, just 9 minutes on the clock, I was expecting a flawless victory for Tottenham as well, but it looks as if it's going to be a hard fought win (If by chance they are able to come back).

Manchester City set a record when the new Premier League began. The 5-0 win over West Ham United was City's biggest score in the first week.
This crushing victory proves City are still at the forefront of the hunt for league titles this season. Especially thanks to this victory, City was able to record two new records.

Hat trick for Sterling too, Pep is developing him really well, he seems to get better & better every season. I wonder what odds you can get for him to be the top scorer in the PL this season. Might be worth a small bet Smiley
