Lol! I think totally otherwise, Man City needs the match as much as Man Utd does, if not more and I honestly think Man City will defeat Man Utd at Old Trafford. It should also be noted that Liverpool would face both Tottenham and Chelsea within their next four EPL matches.

Chelsea would have only been on the 5th position even if they had won against Wolves, but as you've said they need to start taking their chance or could lose out on the top 4 race, they however still have a match at hand against Brighton and a win would see them on 60 points same as Arsenal on 4th position and just one behind 3rd placed Tottenham.

I won't comment on the Liverpool and Manchester City running for the title. I want to point out that something needs to change in Chelsea. They had the chance to get to the 3rd position and they lost it. I think that Sarri miss manages the team because the tactics in the first half were terrible and gave no impact in the team's playstyle and let them score a goal.

Yes, i think only Liverpool and Manchester City that fighting for the premier league champion this season and others team are fighting for the champions league spot. Btw i'm surprised man united lose against arsenal, I heard De gea play bad on that match.

I guess it so. Only Manchester City and Liverpool have the great chance to win the title this season because the difference points between the second and third position is wide enough. The struggle for two remaining tickets for the champions league seems to be more exciting. There are four teams that still have the chance. THP, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.

I am a Spurs supporter but even I do not think this is a case of them giving up the league to play for Champions League! So the title is too far away,,, but so much quality in Big 6 that champions league is not guaranteed until the final game of the season.

Manchester United were awful and absolutely poor last night against Arsenal, they repeated the same mistake that Psg made against them they became over confident. I have a feeling this match may cost Ole his Manchester United head coach job, as he’s unable to inspire his team to win against big teams. Also it’s pertinent to note that Manchester United will not finish in top four, as they have difficult fixtures ahead in comparison to Arsenal fixtures.

I find the battle for the 4th place a lot more interesting than the title race, mainly because there are more teams involved (there's a 4 pts gap between 3rd and 6th).

Too bad Man Utd couldn't grab the 3 pts today, now they're back to 5th place with Arsenal just above. If i'm not mistaken, this is solskjær's first lost with the team in the league. Jeeeesusss Christ what a week. It is really getting more and more fun every single freaking week, each match is just makes the other match super fun. I just remember like a couple month ago some person was talking about how they bet on Liverpool at the start of the season to win the league and they were suppose to get like 1 to 6 returns but they had some issues with self exclusion and all that and wanted their bet back because they knew Liverpool was winning the league for sure.

Look at it now, Liverpool is not doing all that well compared to just a month ago when they were seen as the for sure winners of the league. Chelsea is not giving up just yet so it makes that part of the league fun as well but for some reason I feel like they can't sustain it and they will start not competing for Europe pretty soon.

I always hate to see Liverpool is behind the City. They missed this golden opportunity to lead the table. Now we wait for City to make mistake so that Liverpool can claim the lost position assuming they will not make anymore mistake.

You were spot on mate! I was never expecting that, Liverpool were just so clinical, and I think that'd be required of them in their coming UCL match, I'm sure the team will feel confident after this result.

Lallana was one of ny favorite players in Liverpool until he's long term took a big toll on him, he was very impressive and important before the injury, If he keeps up his game then, it means Liverpool have another fantastic talent to call on.

Definitely not our best performance in terms of creating chances but as you pointed out you've got to be sharp enough to convert these chances. And that's exactly what we did today. Happy that Lallana did well in his first start in quite a while. Overall happy with the performance going into the 2nd leg against Bayern.

Just another day in the office for big Virgil. Strong performance as usual, won 7/7 aerial duels (pretty impressive considering Wood, Barnes, and Crouch played). So glad to have him back to face Bayern on Tuesday.

That'd be a reasonable bet, I think Arsenal will prioritize their Europa League 2nd leg fixture against Rennes, over this match.
