What a great game that was to watch, Crystal Palace looked the goods to win this match and even draw however Matic spoiled it all by scoring an absolute thunderbolt from long range to get Man Utd the win and complete their comeback from 2 goals down. This win helps them stay ahead of the pack for that top 4 finish.

Yup that goal was out of this world, definitely on a the list of goal contender of the season especially guven the time it came. Matic has set up a spicy affair at Old Trafford this coming Saturday. Man U vs. Liveprool, the race for 2ns spot.  Grin

After a garbage performance in first half United surprised us with motivation had taken place after the second goal of Palace if they done this in all of their games they would have been a better competitor to all tournaments now.
But the return reminds us of the beautiful days of United Ferguson days This match was a lesson for Mourinho to know Young and give confidence to Shaw
Shaw is a shaky income and can not pass and fears everything because of Mourinho's dealings with him
Rashford almost finished thanks to Mourinho
Pogba looks is very frustrated , Sanchez's start is a simple but there is room for improvement though Martial gives much more for the team ,Matic plays another great game while Valencia and Smoslling bear the second goal
Lukaku is getting better but Lingard is not useless and as always De Gea gets saves.

Manchester United with a superb comeback and once again Paul Pogba has been very poor in the entire game and all that he did was to misplace passes even when Jose Mourinho started him at his beloved position.

Lost my bet on tonight's game, but I am not overly sad. It was small amount on Crystal Palace to not lose. It was very watchable match in which Man Utd managed to overturn 2:0 lead. Matic scored absolute beauty in 92nd minute for 3 points. Palace had some nice chances to finish the match before that but De Gea pulled off some nice saves again.

Oh god, Manchester United.. What is with this first half performance. As a Red Devil I'm truly disappointed, Lindelof absolute garbage defending. One of the worst signings of the year! Embarrassed

Crystal Palace have taken the lead against Manchester United courtesy of a deflected goal scored by Townsend and at the moment they seem to be in control of the game though I think it’s still early to decide who will win the game.
Of the two teams I think Crystal Palace has had a better first half and if Manchester does not find an equalizer Crystal Palace will break their losing streak in front of its fans and renew the win over Utd thats held since 1991. Lets see what mou will do after the first half Undecided

Crystal Palace are back in bad form also they are back on relegation zone currently have 27 points or only 1 behind Southampton and safe spot. Last game they fought hard to keep Tottenham from scoring but after 88 minutes they failed to keep Kane from scoring to make it their 5th game on row without a win in the premier league. Also they are not have better chances tonight as they have multiple players injured while the visitors United are still fighting for  to finish in top 4 they are not performing that well in visits so I think we will see hosts trying to defend again and keep out Manchester from scoring so better go for under 2.5 goals .
I think it will be very difficult for Crystal Palace to finish in the comfort zone, the chances will be bigger to the Crystal Palace streak defeat, this sounds very disappointing, but this is the reality. Crystal Palace are not able to show their good performances this season and I further feel that Crystal Palace will be relegated and will not enter in the Premier League for next season

@trofo thanks man. Don't worry about me, I never feel down when I lose bets. Thanks Liverpool for giving me the experience to get through heartbreaks...
If Liverpool helped you get over losses, imagine what Arsenal could've done  Roll Eyes

Crystal Palace vs Man United

Both teams need a good result today. A win for Crystal Palace means getting out of the relegation zone, and a win for Man United means 2nd position and 2 points above Liverpool. So I can see Manchester United taking advantage of Crystal Palace's urgency to get some points today. I'm going for Man United to Win @1.44 and Over 2.5 Goals @1.90.
Manchester United will surely make the most of this match to gain victory in order to compete for the second place at the end of the standings, let alone Manchester United still seeking the composition of his best players to get consistency game. I will bet this match ends with a score of more than 3 goals.

Wow...  If none of you think Wenger should go, take a look at the score line now vs Brighton.  It's on HT now, and they still could win this from behind.  But just wow...

It's a meltdown.  I don't think the players are motivated to play for Wenger anymore.
I do feel the same but lets consider the number of games these guys have played before this meeting against Brighton, they had a tough game against Manchester city and am sure most of its top players need some rest for now but because no one is capable the same tired team has to be used as its a call of duty but should they lose the next game Wenger won't dodge this bullet.

their problem is clearly Arsene Wenger, he needs to leave, fresh style needs to come in. He's done well for them.

Too bad for him, I respect him but it is true that his time is up. He is no longer the mastermind anymore. He is still decent coach but for a competitive league like premier league, you need to constantly change and adapt to the new strategy. So far arsene wenger has done nothing sort like that and only handle it the same way he did 5 years ago
Irrespective of the players at his disposals, i don't think that Arsene Wenger can effect any change at Arsenal anymore and he has definitely lost the plot and the only thing that will stop him for being fired is by winning the Europa League and that i believe is way out of their leagues.

@tokeweed:
Ok confirmed then for pool/utd to finish season higher! I believe whoever wins the game next Saturday will eventually finish second but hear, hear, Mourinho says the title fight isn't over ( he's right of course, fat ladies sing on the final game). Just a pity Arsenal and Chelsea couldn't make the run in more exciting.

So that's 2 side bets we got. Don't worry I got $20 stashed away for you tokeweed!

Wenger should go but the old guy still is there after dodging the bullet for many many years of not getting sacked.

Arsenal was simply awful in the first half today. The score line was better than they deserved. It could have been 4:1 for Brighton easy by the halftime whistle.

I am not sure Wenger is the only problem

He is.  For many years, Arsenal couldn't really pinpoint what was wrong and why couldn't they dominate the league or consistently win trophies...  I think now they do.  It's Wenger.

He's like the 'Everton David Moyes'.  Everton under him was good enough to be a mid table club and that's it.

Wenger with Arsenal was good enough to consistently be in the top 4...  But now it looks like it's gone.  Time for a change.

yeah I had a feeling that Chelsea will fail to score this time. Because they have so many problems in attack and they can only relay over Hazar or Willian to score their goals and if these too players are out of shape no one will step up also City have a pretty good defense very line. Now the journey for the fight for top 4 will be much more difficult I knew from previous rounds ago that Chelsea will find themselves out of top 4 after these though fixtures now they need to work much harder to minimize the 5point gap between them and Spurs but I doubt that Tottenham will give them chance. Chelsea will most likely to finish 5 this season while other 3 teams will be in Championsleague next season the only difference will be their order.

Christ what a murderous week. Lost every single one of my bets, couldn't even get my usually reliable recoveries from Liverpool. Chelsea's been rediscovering their goal scoring in the past several games (or was it just an on-form Willian?) so I was really surprised at Conte's tactics yesterday. City have a good defence yes, I mean they'd have to have one after investing those millions this season but Liverpool and others already showed the way - go at their defence, harry them and they panic. They've been having it so easy they're unused to people coming at them.

Personally, it'd be amazing to have Spurs in CL again instead of Chelsea or Arsenal. Show that money don't buy everything, and show that it's time for the other London outfit to shine in Europe.

Honestly I agree with you, it'd be nice to see Spurs get ahead of Chelsea in the CL spot this year. Pochettino has done well over the last 4 years, you can clearly the progress and the stuff he is building - only missing a trophy to his name. If he got massive money (I don't know if that is his philosophy) he would have won something by now. Honestly Arsenal don't spend soo much as compared to Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and even Liverpool, their problem is clearly Arsene Wenger, he needs to leave, fresh style needs to come in. He's done well for them. But yea, Spurs and Harry Kane deserve continuous lime light for their hard work.

P.S: Sorry for the week... Cheer up  Grin

I think Spurs will manage to claim Champions League spot this year. I like the way they play consistently for the 3rd season in the row. They will be in front of Arsenal this season for sure. Probably in front of Chelsea as well. With some luck they could even attack 3rd or 2nd spot. Especially if they lose their upcoming match with Juve and therefore can focus entirely on premier league. In other words: The time has come for Spurs to be no. 1 in London.

I am expecting some sort of surprise in tonight game as well. Maybe Crystal Palace can get a point with low scoring draw. Still haven't picked a bet for this one but I am leaning towards first half draw @2,4, full time draw @4,30 or Palace not to lose @2,70.
