Man City's winning streak might of come to an end with a game they should of won but they are still undefeated so far. It will be interesting to see how they go for the rest of the season as they could now have a few injury concerns to some key players. I'm still hoping they can go undefeated for the season and match Arsenal's record.

Manchester United has defeated Everton 2-0. After a goalless first half, Even when the scores were level at half time, Manchester United had a lion's share of possession and kept pushing Everton back. Paul Pogba was wonderful tonight.
That's the Pogba everyone wants to see, playing in a more attacking role definitely suits him better than playing behind with Matic. But the whole was great today Mata, Herrera, Luke Shaw, Lingard, everyone was solid. Since there was no striker or targets for the usual crosses, the team was able to play with more freedom and that's when the likes of Pogba and Mata can shine on the pitch.

About Everton, they clearly wanted a draw since they played on the defensive from the start. And not a single shot on target, just an awful game from The Toffees.
true United played well with  Pogba going in a more offensive role I think from now on Mourinho should always play with three midfielders to control the ball more and at the same time give Pogba the freedom because most of the league teams play with three players and sometimes four in the same cases where playing with three defenders in the back line So today's game there was not any danger on De Gea because United controlled the game well I hope that today's game shows the importance of trio Matic, Herrera and Pogba he has a lot of potential and with more freedom he will show us more.

They better start picking the pieces from here because they've had quite a poor run in recent weeks. United started very well and i was hoping they will win the league this season after their Europa triumph but their city rivals have rather excelled in that direction so hopefully they will be able to challenge again after this win.

What a way to start a new year by Liverpool, Burnley 1-2 Liverpool. Actually that was a boring game, but a little spice at the end of the game made it feel really great. Liverpool are ahead in 61 minutes through a cool goal Sadio Mane successfully replied by Burnley in the 87th minute through a goal Gudmunsen. And in the final minute, 94 minutes, Liverpool's two center backs, Lovren and Klavan contributed 3 points to take home by Liverpool thanks to their assist and Goal.

I can't remember the last time Liverpool snatched a win at the dying minutes, was it the Dortmund game in Europa two seasons ago? I'm nowadays more used to seeing them snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, as they say in the Premier League! But yes, it's SO good to see two scrappy and narrow wins back-to-back, especially when everyone else dropped points around them (the draws from Arsenal, City and United felt really good!). Six points in two days, even Klopp says he's never experienced that before. For me it was a big bonus to be able to rest Salah and Coutinho too!

Still a long way to go, but at least these string of strong results can finally be bolstered by VVD. We may not win the league this season, but I fancy progress in Europe. Here's to good games and good bets in 2018.

My bet for today is: Burnley-Liverpool over 2.5 goals.
Considering last Liverpool's matches, this bet should be easy one.
Who consider themselves braver, try over 3.5 goals.
I think Liverpool match is a tricky game because Liverpool was never a team with a winning streak . They always hit a wall after 2  or 3 good game and considering Burnley last game's record it will not be an easy game for Liverpool . I see no many goals in this game and maybe to drop this game is the best thing to do
It seems I was right. Burnley and Liverpool scored late but they were worthy goals Cheesy

I was right about Liverpool game so tricky game .Liverpool was lucky today they won in the last minute of th match . Salah injury and missing the match was a frustrating thing for jurgen klop and filing his wing post was a big problem for him . They still in the battle for champions league places and that is for sure a great thing for Liverpool I hope in the end they will be second at least

I was expecting this match as goalless draw because first hour was completely bore but in last half hour we have good action and Liverpool done great job for strong hold on fourth position they need to win this match as now competition is on and all big guns firing so they done this at really end Manchester United also won without any problem

Liverpool looks shaky last saturday. I'll take Burnley +1 looking at their past 10 results they only lost by more than a goal and it's against Tottenham. I took Burnley as my play because after what happened against Liverpool last weekend. The last time they faced last year it end with a draw who knows it could happen again.

Burnley did not get a win in the past 4 games they still a solid team and they possible to push for a draw against Liverpool. They know it will be a difficult to stop the reds from scoring but with their star Mohamed Salah in Doubt for appearances so I think we wouldn't see a lot of goals in this game Burnley have a strong back side though to crack through they showed us that against Manchester United also clarets side managed to grab a point in the first meeting between those two at anfield so my betting tip for this game is under 2.5 goals as the hosts only conceded 6 goals at home and scored 7 across 10 games in the league.

The first match of the New Year is Brighton vs Bournemouth. The teams are placed almost at par in the league tables, with only 2 points separating them. Brighton has taken an early lead in this match, with a goal in the fifth minute by Anthony Knockaert.

So, finally someone ended City's winning streak. That needed to happen once, but, personally, I didn't think Crystal Palace would be that team.
Maybe it's due to long schedule and fatigue.
There shouldn't be any excuse for that at all, Roy Hodgson had a great strategy and it worked very well, Manchester City could managed just four shot on target during the entire game and that goes to show how Crystal Palace didn't get them the chance to play their kind of football.

The hectic schedule of leagues in the UK makes big teams struggle to rotate their players. The previous result was not so bad for me. Despite failing to win the game, at least Manchester City wasn't lost the game and still leads the standings with the difference in points that are fairly distant.

Anyway, I would expect some unpredictable results for these midweek fixtures since the players could be so fatigued due to their schedule by now.

Premier league really has hectic schedule around New Year. Yesterday Arsenal played finished with their game and closed one gameweek and today we already have another one starting at 13:30. Most teams are playing games every 2 days. Impossible for players to recuperate, but great for us, the supporters Smiley

It is really pathetic on the part of premier league to have such kind of fixtures, how is one team even supposed to be completely ready to recover and try and win, this way it will be all draws and more injuries. I feel its time supporters and clubs made their voice clear, that such chaotic scheduling needs to be stopped and done away with. I do hope for Jose Mourinho sake Man Utd wins it tonight or his sack is almost confirmed, it will be only a question of if not when. He's really disappointing these days<

What do you guys think, does Virgin Van Dijk really worth that much money?

My personal opinion is that whole transfer market went crazy, so that might not be too much for great defender. We will see if he will show that potential.

Even Neymar was not worth the price. Neymar's crazy transfer will be the start of many players who have high prices. Virgil Van Dijk has started. I doubt if Neymar is not appreciated that expensive, Van Dijk would not be that expensive. I would not be surprised if there will be a lot of players who are not so good but have a high price.
the need of Liverpool of a Defender have pushed them to get him for that tremendous fee in my opinion his worth in the Current time is something close to 50million Euros. And Liverpool needs him now more then ever because they know that the fight for top 4 will require from them to be more stable at the back and if they managed to finish in top 4 they would payed the extra 35million Euros via qualifications to Championsleague by then he would probably prove that he worth something if he is not worth it and they got him for like 10Million it would have been a waiste of time ad money the best thing is that they know they have a problem at the back and now they will do whatever to fix it.
Yes, you are right. THey needed to rush for him, because they needed to fix problems in defence. Just look at Lovren, his defence is criminal.
