My first job was paying me around 250$ and I could barely make it, If I had to pay rent probably I had nothing left for food.

This is the problem. Increase on salary doesn't mean anything when high inflation can just gobble it easily. What is the ideal here is to lower the inflation or even the prices. Stabilize the basic goods.
Bitcoin price is not stable neither. Good thing we are in control of it. The sad part is the security. We already know that there were too many hacking incidents happened over the years. If these hackers can do it on Binance, Cryptopia and other exchanges that have good security then how much more on ordinary people.
If you store it on a third part site like centralized exchanges or in hot wallets then its just similar to keeping our money in banks they are in control of our funds and we have to trust them.
But we don't have to use third part sites for storing cryptos we have our own wallet where there is no chance for hacks.
