Wolf's just being a hardcore capitalist. Trade secrets should remain in the hands of whoever developed them...
Meanwhile he's probably developing his own version of the miner to trade behind the scenes and therefore he doesn't want any cross information sharing from his competition (that would result in improvements, which is bad for what he's selling). Based on his posts here, he's probably selling a Primecoin kernel. Everything Wolf posts has a level of personal gain associated with it and not something the normal person can pay for. If it's not flaunting his kernels so he can drive up his behind the scene sales, it's forcing you to look at furry porn because he gets off to that. Not the furry porn itself, but forcing you to look at it.
You could probably single handedly blame the current sorry state of AMD mining on him and his friend Djm, as they have been selling out to the highest bidders (which are the biggest miners). It seems like when you venture outside the normal realm of AMD GPUs for x11 and their variants, things start looking more rosy (which is outside their area of expertise).
You know, it's funny, he at one point complained about his kernels getting leaked because it was his livelihood... Yet here he is, yet again, fucking over everyone else that tries to make money off mining.
Yawn. I'm fucking people over because I'm not giving them shit for free. FYI, I'm not selling an XPM kernel, I'm busy with three others. I'm just posting the obvious train of thought that makes sense. As for forcing people to see my screenshots, they're labeled NSFW and linked instead of inlined - not taking extra time because some people can't deal with the backgrounds I feel like seeing.
For someone who is semi-competent, I'm sure you don't know how to take a window screen shot or a cropped one.
Yeah and not giving them away for free, while selling to the highest bidder fucks over all the little miners. You know how you care about your own well being. You're fucking everyone else over that doesn't have a six figure income (putting aside mining) and that's about 95% of the people who started mining.
It'd be different if there were no improvements and besides the developers, no one would be using superior kernels - but it's not. You have your own little blackmarket operating in the background that screws over all the small miners. Which is much worse then having higher power costs and something I didn't know was happening when I started advocating for no miner improvements to save on power. It doesn't. It just means you get screwed over from behind without knowing it. Because YOU don't keep your private kernels private, you sell them to large miners which have the biggest influence on the block chains.
If you consider trolling someone warning the other person when they're getting a knife slipped in their back, then I guess I am. It's not hard to see either as you're a dedicated furry that plays your role (a wolf or more accurately in this case a fox).
All of the above is true. I'm sure you guys remember the 45BTC thread where he was going to sell his kernels and consequently they got leaked as he was being extremely greedy? He's admitted multiple times he sells them to people in the background, for those who have enough money and I assure you that's not your average joe with 100 GPUs or 20.
Putting all of the above aside, he's in this thread making sure these two kernels don't meet so he has less competition and he can sell his product for a higher price. This is common anti-competitive practices companies do.
