Hope you are not aware of the recent developments ,spammers and beggars were muted for a very long time and then there was another set of rules which is implemented recently where they started muting all the old accounts who are not that active and still come around playing with faucet to counter account selling faucet farming and with the increase in price of bitcoin they started implementing it thereby pissing old users who are taking a break and that is what is being discussed here.Well thats true.
you are not forced to play on pd there are plenty of websites such as satoshidice & safedice there are some other as well which are trusted.
you can leave anytime you want and try something new
there are some websites like bitsler that has a huge community now (in a short period of time)
honestly if you ask me then i would say pd3 was far better than pd4 due to it's simplicity and i think the admin of paradice is trying to make paradice same as pd3.
i have a few advice for pd but i am sure they won't listen or might listen but won't give any feedback so i will pass.

I would guess players who got email linked to the account, probably VIPs and long time PD players.

I haven't received such an email myself so i don't think it is a genuine one. I presume such emails are supposed to be sent to all users of primedice. They also usually advice on bitcointalk and sent instant alerts through their platform.

This is very interesting, would be a bit complicated for new users though which defeats the purpose of the faucet. We've toyed with the idea of having a 'faucet balance' and 'main balance' on our back-end but honestly a faucet cut is long overdue just simply due to the price rise of coins making it hyper profitable for abusers to hop aboard.

Yeah its not only the PD chat, it also the BitMex and Poloniex Trollbox also. There are so many users on there and the format of the layout is bad that its impossible to be able to chat properly because the messages scroll too fast. You can't even finish reading a sentence before it gets moved up because someone else typed something else.
Few years ago was better. Less users and you could actually have a conversation.
Maybe introduce different Trollbox channels like #random, #gambling, #trading, etc.
There was a time when troll box was fun and now almost all of the sites are over crowded and it is impossible to make any conversation ,it will be good to see more channels being tried to distribute the traffic between channels so that it is never over crowded and i really like the plan of Veleten on how to counter faucet spammers and it must be implemented by the staff members to avoid abuse.Few years ago was better.
