Update the way a faucet is claimed. Instead of captcha, how about a riddle or the like.
Also, a page of faucet claims would be cool. So it'll show how many times a player have claimed faucet, etc.

We don't mind giving away comparable amounts we just want to make sure it ends up in the right hands. Open to suggestions, we were the first to bring faucet to a gaming site on PD1 (top me up button) and we'd like to find something new.

What they are doing is basically fair for the success of their business.
You need to understand that many gamblers from 2015 or so, ran up their BTC rollover and they got offered like 0.10 BTC or so for their account and they sold it to some account farmer. And those accounts haven't had any deposits since then, so they ended up getting muted because its seems like a risk to them to keep them open.

and from what i understand account farmers will do anything to collect minute dusts but will they be shelling out 0.1 btc for that,which is really strange,hope you understand that it will take months to get back those without investing and rolling.Yes they did. This was maybe 2 years ago or so when BTC was lower. But back then there was a huge marketplace for old PD accounts with a large rollover since these legacy accounts usually had very high BTC faucets. I think some had like 2500-5000 Sats or so per account.
Back then PD didn't care because the abuse wasn't as bad as it is today.
But now the faucet claim of PD will go down by 10% as the admin said.
Max claim will be 1k Satoshi instead of 10k and even the VIPs will get around 300-400 sat /claim.
It's quite disappointing for ppl who chase big wins in their free time.

On the other hand are they muting users who are on the site for many years because they are claiming the faucet a little too much that they want them too. No the purpose of the faucet isn't to give out "free money", PD is a business they don't make money from the faucet farmers. They actually end up losing money.
The purpose of the faucet is just to test out the site before you send in real BTC. To make sure the speeds are good, rolls are verified, etc.
To avoid this faucet mess, casinos should just use "play btc" or "demo btc" instead of faucets.
Faucets are bad because with the millions of rolls at 1 Sat it really slows down the servers for the legitmite gamblers.
But if casinos removed the faucet and introduced a demo BTC they may lose many users on the site. Because there are plenty of people still thinks that they can still make a profit form these small faucet amount. Yes, with these small bets servers will be over loaded but casinos has to improve their servers to support this over load. These faucet users once addict to these games then they will slowly load money and start playing the games. That's the reason these casinos provide faucet money.

Do you think regular players will move just because faucet? I dont think that faucet is so important for them because regular players is the one who prefer to play with their own deposits instead of using btc.
I say this in general not about PD only as it may happen in any gambling sites when they feel that there are too many attempts to abuse the faucet.
Indeed there should be another better solutions to avoid faucet abuse instead of removing it.

It is really sad to see that people are being muted for voicing their opinion to counter the faucet farming,faucet farming accounts should be muted but how about players who are playing for years and who wagged more than hundred bitcoins,hope you guys will come up with a good solution rather than muting everyone.

Faucet farmers really matters to every site no matter how much profit it is making and those 24 hours win stats is explained in here its forum thread(too lazy to give the link but its there in the thread).
