Can you explain everything in nature? Do you understand everything that everybody does? Of course not. You don't even understand that contradictions to the Bible are false, even when you don't understand the Bible.
Humans hate change and uncertainty. It is our defense mechanism that helped us avoid dangerous, unpleasant situations and survive in the past.
When people study nature and don't understand something in nature, we naturally fill up the gap in our understanding with God. Most people do that without even realizing it.
So the less you know, the stronger your belief in God is.Isaac Newton (probably the smartest person who ever lived) also believed in God because he did not understand how the universe could have been created.
So don't feel bad when it happens to you.
Does it mean that Newton's beliefs were justified. Of course not. We have also confirmed that Newtonian classical mechanics does not work exactly as he predicted.
The more we understand the nature the less we need God to explain the gaps in our understanding. For example, today, people may believe that "white holes" (opposite to black holes) are evidence of God, or that they are something God has influence on. Or that God is behind Big Bang. A more honest answer is "I don't know" not "I believe God did it".
re: Bible
I can confirm that book is a complete nonsense.
Pick up and read any astrophysics or biology textbook. I can guarantee you will have a better understanding of how the nature works than you would get from reading the Bible. There is no science in the Bible because Bible was written before scientific revolution and people did not know much about science back then.
Assigning any divine power to it is just superstitious. You don't believe me? Just go outside and burn it. Don't worry nothing will happen to you. Blame me if God shows up in your backyard.
