In my opinion, the death penalty can be applied to high-ranking criminals that result in the loss of one or more lives.
The death penalty is still applied to some countries, even though it is against human rights, but it is indeed feasible and necessary as a deterrent effect for the perpetrators of crime resulting in the loss of one or more lives.
I agree on the application of the death penalty in accordance with the serious crimes committed.

Marrying the victim is bullshit. I'm Indian (not born/raised from India), and it disgusts me the way things are there. Females become ostracized, and are rejected by society there if they are raped (at least from the parts where my family originates). Killing the rapist is no good either. It's better to force him to do painful, manual labor or other humiliating punishments.

make them suffer. what you reap is what you sow. if you harm others, karma will surely strike to you. they should be behind bars or whatever punishment for such crime there is in wherever country it was committed.

The only fair punishment for these criminals is to jail them for life. Hanging someone who doesn't have control for their appetite for lust is just too much. They shouldn't die just for raping, they can still change overtime. Jailing them for life is the only fair punishment for raping or violating a person.
