Number 2 and nothing else maybe. Because i am not type of others options. Not a hobby, routine activity and for number 1, even in game i can't always be good. So i play gambling only to spend time, or maybe use little amount of money, end with lose and do another activity.
Same this is what I also do and ensure that it only is being done for the entertainment and have fun and not to make as a hobby or want to make quick money which I know is not going to happen as you need luck too for that matter .
My goal is to make regular money every month. I know this doesn't sound easy because most people can win on a gambling site but they also suffer a huge loss. This is a huge risk that I have to take. I also bet more often on sports these days because it's easier for me to predict . And I can cash out if the match results do not match my predictions
Be careful with a goal like that. In many cases gambling addiction starts from such goals. Yes, this is a huge risk, as you said it yourself, but you don't have to take it. Unless you are Tom Dwan owing millions USD to Triad (as it is said in one contemporary fairy tale), you don't have to take that risk. Gamble for entertainment, and find a good job to make regular money every month.
For me, the purpose of playing gambling is not just to get rich. But for me to amuse myself, because I play gambling for my hobby and winning is one of the goals for gambling. If I lose, I will stop and play again next time.
There is a contradicting in your statement mate,you have mentioned first that you dont want to get rich but you wanted to win everytime you played?you are saying you dont want to get rich because your budget is limited but if given a chance to have more budget?i am sure you will seek to become richer.My personal goal is to try luck to become a winner.

As long as we can manage our money and time in gambling, we will not get addicted to gambling because we can limit the money and time, and we know how to stop gambling.
This is the problem.
In our place, there are a lot of people that can't manage their money well so they usually spend it on something that is not that special or just waste it on betting. They think gambling is something that can make someone rich quickly not adding the fact that they can be lost and can be addicted to it. Despite them not being addicted, they do not spend their money wisely, I think that is the problem.
i don't blame people who becomes addicted because sometimes it is their call and sometimes they have no option in life but to gamble.
we must be thankful that we are not one of them and we manage to live life to the fullest and our family is our life.
If they're addicted I think it was an specific decisions that's why they fell on that situation. Don't ever blame someone, but yourself on how you face those consequences in life. Probably you'll get over someday after realizing the effect of your wrong actions actually.
OP should probably consider adding "to just try my luck"... that could take away lots of the votes going to "have fun... ".

The problem with this is that if you begin to experience less fun at home, office, work, (basically outside of the gambling environment), you will likely seek gambling as a way out of the lack of fun, and probably become addicted, especially if the fun outside of the gambling environment continues to be inadequate.

There are many purposes for which people get into gambling, some of them could be passing time, having fun , spending time with friends and etc. i personally got into gambling through bunch of friends and we used to gamble everyday with small blinds as it was not about earning but having fun with the game and experience.

I got into gambling few years back through my network of friends during a party. The blinds were small and everyone was playing for the fun. Soon, me and my friends used to sit everyday, gambling several sessions a day just cos we liked the game and the fun associated with it. So, personally for me the fun and thrill associated with gambling is what gets me going.
You can play gambling anytime you want, but you must manage your time and money, so you don't lose all of your money. It is better if you can control yourself in gambling because that is one factor that every gambler should have. Besides that, you don't have to have reason to get rich from gambling because gambling is not a job like the other job. Many people know about that, but they tend to play gambling for a long time because they hope that they can win the jackpot. Gambling is only to get fun and spend our time on our busy day.
all options are included in the same package as I want. But I do not consider it really just for fun, and spending free time. Gambling is also a productive activity and can be adjusted to my other work hours. Gambling in the long run has a negative expected value and anyone who has any amount of exposure to probabilities will know that this means in the long run, you will expect to lose more on aggregate than you win. It's also the reason the house has the incentive to take your bets.
Your main motive should be to keep yourself entertained. Nothing more.

Simply said, who gamble to become rich is an idiot, and that idiot will probably stay without money sooner or later. Gambling is entertainment, who like card games, who like probabilities and to calculate them in head, gambling is interesting and many games are really fun to play, addition to that is possibility to win some money if you have luck with the strategy you are trying.
