I wouldn't mind if I won big, but this is never my purpose, and mostly because I know that I can't win big with the bets I make. I mean the size of them. If you place 20 sats bet on 9900x multiplier, you can't expect winning something over 0.002 BTC, right? Same goes for poker. Playing with low stakes, you can't expect winning big. So, I'm definitely not playing with expectations of high profits. I do want some profits because it makes me feel good when I win, but the amount I win is almost irrelevant to me.
I'm just curious about what people think about their main purposes to play gambling. Usually, we only know that people play gambling because they expect to be rich (earn money). Are there any other common purposes of a gambler why he/she plays gambling daily? Let me know what your purposes are, mate. Thanks
Majority of the people voted that they are doing this for fun, and that reflects how educated some of us here, but it does not reflect the whole picture of gamblers that play for fun, there are still a huge percentage of gamblers that wants to beat the house or finding ways to beat the house, I voted for fun but in the back of my mind I also want to make money.
Even I did not rich in the gambling It's okay for me because Im contented if I getting rich in playing gambling and my mindset is earning money not to earn lot's of money or become rich. We know all of the player the main reason or purpose in playing gambling even ridky they do that for money but the possible also is having fun because sometimed when we are sad when we play it gives us happiness.
Gambling is good too for the killing of boredom most of the gamblers do not have time to go to the casino because of being busy in work and other stuff, also we play gambling because it satisfies our desires, as a person, we have a different reason why do we need to gamble. One of the primary goals of gamblers is to gain more money and sources to help them living in daily life. Still, there are some people want to gamble because this is part of their routine it is hard to remove on their experience to play gambling this sometimes indicates of being addiction in betting; still we can control our selves in playing.
Playing gambling can give excitement to the people who love playing with risk because they are trying to test their ability to handle the situation and also their luck. Sometimes risk takers are the most profitable person because they don't mind what will the outcome.

There could be only 2 broad classifications on purposes of gambling: playing for money and playing for entertainment. But, a third category also will be possible in some sense like "playing for both money and entertainment".I guess this would be a better way of being a gambler. Because, gambling is not 100% eliminating the chances of providing earning opportunities (expecting consistent earning opportunity would be a problem) so we may enjoy if we get some money otherwise simply enjoying the game itself must be the right way of approaching it.
the fun that I get in gambling is quite extraordinary so I just can't stop it despite some people are saying that it's a waste of time and money.
It does not mean that they have stopped. People blame the gambling still they might be playing and I am afraid that one day you also may join to them to blame gambling still you may allocate some funds on regular basis to continue your gambling to find the fun like your early days. Yes, this is how gambling addictions are working. 
i play gamble daily at most times everytime i finish posting on this forum . i
use gambling as a time killer to kill boredom but im not on the point of playing for real .
i only use the gambling sites faucet money to play . i am not expecting to get rich with those faucet money but if i got lucky sometimes i can be able to reach the sites withdrawal threshold limit and i can withdrew some nice profit which was cool . i love online gambling

Do not make it a habit as you do it regularly and a point would come where you would not be able to live without it. Try to skip few days and see if you can stay without it and develop some new hobby or passion. Its fine at times when people play for fun and to entertain but not always.
No one would be rich from gambling in my opinion, because once a person wins big, then the next day he will lose again and again, so that the victory money finally runs out too. For me playing gambling just to fill in spare time when I'm bored.
AFAIK there are some people getting rich from gambling, like those who won huge amount from the National Lottery or those who gamble regularly (usually poker games). If one day you win big, you need to have good money management so you wont lose it again. At least self control is required here, to avoid losing back what you have just won.
That's right, there is even a list of the richest gamblers. that means gambling can make someone rich, but the chances are very small if you expect from the jackpot. because I'm sure most crypto gamblers are just for fun. to be rich from gambling certainly at least requires a big fund as well. while starting with small funds is very difficult.

Some players grew up playing gambling taught by their parents in their homes; some card games, and such thing. In addition it is the human nature to feel excited. The sense of anticipation creates an adrenaline rush that at some point made them stick to gambling or leave them a feeling of looking it to the only place they can get it to, furthermore playing gambling, risking something to it, the sense of winning. It is something a feeling of a gambler cannot live without. In addition the ambiance, different feelings, different people, different sounds and emotions that stimulates and arouse our senses, all of it may get to be a reason that a gambler looking in order to escape problems, and/or responsibilities in everyday life.

We can play gambling without having a purpose to become wealthy because getting rich from gambling will be too difficult, and that will not happen to most people. Only a few people can win much money and become rich, but for the others, they will only lose the money. Like the other people who choose to play gambling because of fun, I decided to have the same purpose as them because I admitted that is the reason that we can have in gambling, so we don't chase the win money.

If one person wins big and after that they quit on betting I am sure that they are going to be rich, you just said it! not all people are going to bet after they win big or hit the jackpot. don't make a statement like that if you will just make an example for one individual it just ruins the logic.-Snip-

Sometimes desire to have money to become rich and sometimes willingness to fulfill our emptiness in life want to find some thrill and full of excitement that you cannot find in just simple card games. Discipline is what it takes to take your winning at home, if you win a large amount of money, then stop and go home. I think almost all of the gamblers are going to agree on that. The only that go into losing stage after winning are the one that is greedy and the one that doesn't have a discipline.

I don't even think it's possible becoming rich from gambling especially the ways casinos owners are running their casinos these days.
Though it's possible becoming 'rich' in lotto. If the winner is in luck or have calculated the numbers properly. However, everyone gamblers purpose for gambling is to make some money, no one is in this for the 'fun' as most may claim.
Becoming rich is just a bonus if we do think off sensibly but people are forcing up themselves to become one by means of gambling and in result?I don't even think it's possible becoming rich from gambling especially the ways casinos owners are running their casinos these days.

They do lost soo much due to chasing up that kind of opportunity.Luck is the biggest factor to be rich but it should really be removed on someones mind
and as said earlier where this will really be the main reason which would push you to play even further until you bust up.

Most people said it was for fun and spending spare time was their main purpose, but unfortunately it wasn't the conformity of the situation. They went addicted to it in the long run, and can't handle the emotional struggles when losses happened.

Apart from the reasons mentioned, I prefer the reason about trying a luck. That way then at least we will not always gamble too often, because we will only gamble when it really is wanted to do it or in a good mood, and when it is applied to a sports gambling then we will only gamble when there is a match that is at least have a special attraction for myself to bet and try a luck.
Having fun but also thinking of making a bit of money from it although sometimes I fail. I want to win and earn but I've never thought of that I'll become rich with gambling someday. It's my dream when I was younger but I've already given that ambition.
Some do play gambling for fun and that is their main reason why they play gambling and not really to make money out of it. Just like some hackers do sometimes, some of them do hack not basically to make money but just to show their talents in what they are good at doing.
