it depend, if one 1080 will do 40MH at 180w, it would be good to get

here you have 20MH guaranteed maybe 25 at 120W

still the better choice for nvidia is the 1070, at 32(maximum possible) with 130w, but it will cost more

Nvidia didnt fix their low speed on OpenCL so... no. Would be nice if it came to be, but don't hold your breath.

even without the fix, a 1070 is doing 27MH on linux at 125w, pretty good to me, ig uess with tdp lowered, it can be even lower than that

We'll see, this is on par with undervolted AMD card efficiency. Whats left to see is how the "twice the power for the same price" from Polaris translate to in the mining world.

apparently a 1070 can do 27MH at 100w, and probably lower, the guy tested the tdp, so no it's better than any amd right now even betetr than nano

What is the price of 1070?

$380

I'm really anxious to see what the RX480 does for ETH Performance, the price point of the RX480 is supposed to be $200-250 and if it does around ~25 MH, that's a pretty good price for that kind of performance.

30MH/s using only 150 Watts.  So 2 cards will gives us 60MH/s and 300Watts . Umm still a better option because 1070 costs much . Amd is a better option.

1070 is a new gpu it will not lose its value for at least 1-2 years like it was for the 970, so i'm not worried about reselling it at the same price

Well right now we can just wait and see some early buyers to buy the card and post some reviews about it and post the mining speed . Well for me its Rx 480 is a good option i have many free units of electricity . Also i will save 250$ .

Well i have not said that i will use that for mining i am just giving a suggestion.  It's better to use 2x480s instesd of 1080 you will save about 200 to 250$. You will get the same performance in the lower price as compared to 1080.

What do you guys think about 480?
Its only costs 200$ . And 2 480s beats 1080 .
1080 costs 600$ so instead of spending 600$ buy 2 480s for 400$.

Edit 1: RX 480 give 24-28 mhs @100-120 W
GTX 1070 doing 27 MHS @125 W On linux

Edit 2:So guys today is the day the Card is going to be release all wait is over let's see what mining speed we get from RX 480 . I hope at least 25 MHS/100 W we get .

Edit 3 : http://cryptomining-blog.com/8008-possible-ethereum-hashrate-for-the-new-amd-radeon-rx-480/

Edit 4 : Card is realeased. Price is more then 200$ because of Tax and re-sellers etc.

Edit 5 : http://videocardz.com/61667/what-reviewers-say-about-radeon-rx-480-exceeding-pci-express-power-specifications
P.S : I have seen a guys complaining that his PCI-e slot got damgaged while using 480 .

Edit 6: Many people are debating on 7950 v 480 . they say that 7950 is doing 24mhs and its cheaper then 480.

Edit 7: From User giagge

Edit 8: The user
jstefanop hacked the bios and checkout the hashrate
