The only reason i have not bought with both hands now at these prices is cause I already have and am out of btc. Factom is 22m market cap now, RADS could be at those levels in time and more. When this pops its gonna be MASSIVE.

What does RADS do that Factom can't? Also, doesn't Factom have first mover advantage?
Here are some advantages of Factom:
- First mover advantage in some areas
- Large capital to work with
- Anchored in the Bitcoin blockchain
- Microsoft Azure

Here are some advantages of the Radium SmartChain:
- Anchored into the Radium blockchain, which is a secure and non-bloated PoS chain that has been running for nearly a year
- The base currency, Radium, was fairly distributed with PoW and PoS. No ICO or premine.
- Functions on the Radium SmartChain are carried out with the use of Radon, a non-fungible asset, which rewards those who stake Radium
- SmartChain aliases/users
- SmartChain document storage
- SmartChain verification
- Radon asset transfer
- One Click Verify
- Some of the most user friendly software in the cryptocurrency industry
- All SmartChain services are 100% decentralized
- All SmartChain functions are highly compressed, while retaining cryptographic security, thus reducing blockchain bloat
- Project Radon is always growing and adding services

Let me know if there's anything I missed on either side.
I would like to note that we are not seeking to compete with Factom directly. Rather, we would like to see all projects flourish in a mutually beneficial environment. Factom has been very warm and welcoming to us, therefore, we are very warm and welcoming to them. As a community, please do not show any hostility towards them. When everyone works together, great things can be accomplished.

FCT's association with the brand Microsoft(Azure) hyped some of the traders who don't understand why the names are tied(what's it for or what does it do). They were caught and now left at the peak of the FCT's early pumped up price(and now declining).

FCT and RADS are great projects, I like them both regardless of who has the cool features or big market caps. I agree, we should not show hostility towards them(FCT). Later on, we will see which among these two will rise above and stay!

Hey?

I'm getting this error.
Can you please tell me how to fix it?

1. Run %appdata% from the start menu
2. Go into the Radium folder
3. Delete ONLY the file named blk0001.dat
4. Restart the wallet

What's the best way to protect my radium wallet?

This article is for bitcoin, but it applies to Radium as well.
https://bitcoin.org/en/secure-your-wallet

So, I should encrypt the wallet and then create a backup through the "Backup wallet" option, right?

Thanks

Yes, use the encrypt wallet option under settings to set a passphrase for the wallet.  The radium wallet does not have an automatic backup option, so backup your wallet.dat file found in the users/appdata/roaming/Radium folder.

2.4 Beta Clarification

For the first round of the beta, I have sent the 2.4 candidate to users in the Slack Channel who have done testing previously and have provided useful bug reports. It is my preference to have a limited number of people test the first beta, so I don't get overloaded with many people reporting the same issues. As soon as first round issues are fixed, Ill post a link public link for the beta. Anyone interested in participating in the first round, just ask about it in slack.

I've been saying to people for a while that these kind of crypto projects are not a zero sum game. I think some of the thinking of crypto as a currency is spilling over into the idea of projects like this that simply use crypto as more a 'fuel' in a decentralised project. Its funny thinking first moving advantage is that important to long term usage of these platforms, its like saying there will be one internet explorer or only one email service. There is absolutely no reason that a number of similar projects can't do really well in what will become a billion dollar industry. I think RADS seems very different to Factom which seems to me more the corporate version while RADs is more the average user, though of course RADS can still pick up big contracts just as easily. In the end it will all be about how much people use it and that looks promising for Radium.
