Hello guys,
a few days back, while on holiday and travelling away from my usual places, I got my 100th merit!
Allow me to take a little bit of proud on this achievement, and I think this is a success for the merit system, that not only ruined my life because made me think constantly about the forum, but also pushed me to always try to give 100% writing my posts.

Thank you all my dear fellow forumer, and thanks for sending me love (merits) during those months.
I don't consider this a finish line, or a trophy to hang on the wall, but a new start and a new motivation to continue engaging myself in the forum life with continued quality, commitment and effort.
I still have to much to learn, and I will always commit myself to spread what I learn as much as possible.

Congrats for that Mr fillippone, merits work on a fairway, so, you did it right, and you become a nice example for other users.

Now the hard part will be the activity, that will take more than one year, is a long road to walk but if you visit the forum each day you will make it, congrats again and good luck in the road to Legendary.  Cheesy

It is my first time I saw a merit-earning beast in Politics & Society section. I saw some in WO, Beginners & Help, Meta, but honestly never saw anyone in Politics & Society board.  Shocked

Thanks @tbct_mts for appreciating

We can't brag about it for now, until it is proven  Grin let's just keep going and see how we will perform in the coming months.

There are a few in Politics & Society, such as @Flying Hellfish, @squatz1, @o_e_l_e_o, @af_newbie, @Moloch,  @theymos, and @Artemis3, with over 150 earned merits each there.

Helping other forum users is not a bad thing to do so basically what you have achieved until now is that you deserved it. It will also help other users who are trying to rank up but the post that arr merited will make them think that if they can do it so can I. All we need to set is that we need to be positive thinkers and we can achieved what we wanted to achieved.

My suggestion is to stick around, keep posting good stuff and eventually you’ll get the merit you deserve.
Everyone thinks getting fewer merits than deserved, but you have to understand recognition is not for free.
And don’t expect getting merit posting in the alt of bounty section.

In what areas do you usually work, which subject? I want to follow your footsteps.
I really want to contribute a lot to the forum, I love this forum. I have learned a lot from it.
You must not follow some other people and where they post. Use this forum for your self benefit like enhancing knowledge in cryptocurrency, do trade if needed. In a nutshell, use the forum for what it has been established. That's what will bring the rank.

As I said, you should consider carefully which topic to work on. You should pick the one you care the most where you are more likely to provide a good contribution to the forum, rather than write on an uninteresting topic just because there are merits floating around.

First of all congrats on becoming Sr. Member and congrats in advance for becoming Hero Member
My question is what if I focuses on one thread/topic but didn't get the merits which I deserve (according to my opinion I should get more merit). People appreciate my work but don't give me merit. What I should do now?

Thank you for your sincere advice. I will follow what to do.
Basically I want to make money to take care of my life, of course it is not too dependent on the forum, I have life in real life, simply want to take advantage of my free time.

Exactly recommendation. Each user has to choose the most favorite branch of crypto that is available in the forum to participate. For example, if you are a fan of Rafael Nadal, the King of Clay, you can not have enough understandings about Cristiano Ronaldo to write and discuss about that super soccer star. Therefore, choosing the favorite branch and stick with it first; then over time, if user want to expand to other branches, it's good.

Nice work! At this rate you'll be a hero/legendary member in no time Wink

I've gotten 60 merits posting on and off (started as a full member before merit was introduced) - you're taking it to the next level cruising to almost 500 already!

Love is all
I saw many posts where people arguing about that ranking up is so hard after merit implemente. I am not agree with that even I am also a newbie and I found that big members are searching a post to give a merit but they did not find a good post. OP already described many points what you need to do for ranking up. I would like provide you few more points as I think if you follow then you can definitely increase your rank.

1 :- Be honest with forum
2 :- Keep increasing your knowledge
3 :- Improve your writing skills
4 :- Helping other person in the forum
5 :- If possible report useless or meaningless post to the forum moderator
6 :- The most important point is follow all the rules and regulations of the forum.
7 :- Only concern about improving yourself
8 :- Don't waste your time in bounty and make garbage, Offcourse if you can find good deal then you can do but it's shouldn't your priorities.

So I think if you follow all above suggestions then you dont need to worry about ranking up your profile.

Corollary: Quote politely: bad quoting can worsen the reading experience of other users.  Quoting the whole message to answer only a specific part below, or answer a few question all below the quoted text are bad practices. This is something not related to this forum specifically, so you might already know about what I am saying here. If you don't please get used to best quoting practice reading one of the many good guides out there, like this one.
Thanks for making me more conscious about this. It's a habit I fell into due to laziness, will work on overcoming it and doing it right.
Doubt anyone wants to dig trough quote walls to get to an opinion.
Also, congrats on making it this far!

It isn't recommend for everyone to start a merit giveway thread. You can give smerits to deserving members if you search through other giveway threads or pay close attention to started threads and replies of the targeted range of ranks you intend helping by meriting their quality contributions. Most active meriters don't have giveways threads take beginner and help board as an example. View 3rd image on Beginners & Help – sMerit Distribution Summary
It is personal approach, but whatever approach will always be good if users finish their purposes well by distributing their sendable merits to deserved threads/ posts. Merit give-away threads have their own advantages due to focusing on narrow range of user ranks or concentrating on specific areas (mining, forum issues, and so on). Of course, such merit give-away threads also have their own disadvantages if they don't have detailed and strict rules for applicants. Because people might do some pseudo-constructive things and apply to steal sendable merits from merit-give-away topics' authors.

It is the same as merit source applications: someone think that they have to be a merit source to have better ability to help forum users (with allocated merits for sources); someone don't care about that, they simply distribute their sendable merits that they get from their contributions.

Generally, it depends on personal perspectives.
Exactly. I wanted to start a merit giving thread to focus on something I can relate more.
What I cannot relate to is users telling me what to do, provided I am not against forum rules or well established customs.
