I lose more than half of the coin after update to the new folk. What?!
So I decide back to the old folk. And wish the best of you guys.

We have been screaming to folks to update to the new client for almost two+ weeks now.

I am not sure what will happen with your coins on the old fork; good luck.

We might be able to learn something from the Peercoin community. It takes much more time for such a big step.

The GLX coins I recently bought from cryptsy.com are gone.
You guys even haven't given the biggest exchange cryptsy.com enough time to response.

Now, we still see many pool/exchange running on old folk.
That means the GLX community haven't synchronized within two weeks!

Thanks for your guys, we have double fun from two GLX networks now.

There might be something wrong on the new folk.
Because I have more than 30k coin 2,3 months ago, and my balance reaches 70k after the recent purchases from cryptsy.com.

Now my balance becomes 17k on the new folk.
It doesn't sound right, if the folk happened recently.

Possible reasons:
1) Folk happened long time ago, several months?
2) The snapshot which used to start the new folk might be wrong?

Reason's 1+2 are wrong; the fork happened almost two weeks ago because when the fork happened people got stuck on block 249716.

When were the purchases on Cryptsy?

I can find the transactions from cryptsy.com using gettransaction command in the debug windows of GLX 2.0.
The transactions looks OK. It means the withdraw transactions from cryptsy.com works properly in the new folk.

But it is wired that the total balance displayed in the wallet is not correct.

As shown in the wallet, my balance is around 26k (17k + 9k from cryptsy today):

getbalance:
26311.96000000

but the number is different to the one return by 'listaccounts':

listaccounts:
{
"" : 100051.15000000,
"1" : 2606.00000000,
"2" : 39067.00000000,
"3" : 1470.00000000,
"4" : 1470.00000000,
"5" : 1790.78000000,
"6" : 1729.00000000,
"7" : 1560.00000000,
"8" : 1560.00000000,
"9" : 1560.00000000,
"Miners" : 23671.67000000,
"cryptsy.com" : 38548.95000000
}

Any idea?

It is true that the fork happened a lot sooner than we wanted to; you can point the figures at the dev. team and myself for that.

But everyone has made extraordinary efforts to iron the issues out since then.

How many members of other alt-coins produced videos and scripts to deal with getting people on the new fork? And I am not talking about advertisement videos but actual assistance and support to folks affected?

I should not talk to a community contributor in that way.
Plz accept my apology. Sad

OK, it's official. GalaxyCoin is trading on Cryptsy!

As long as you have the new client, are on the correct blockchain, and synced you should be able to trade.

I noticed that trades come in are moving faster for GalaxyCoin than it was before.  Smiley Smiley Smiley

We still need more addnodes so please consider being one.

See the OP for details.

Woohoo!

Steve,

For making transactions in and out of your wallet, all you need is addnode/connects. (Generally it's best to start with this until your blockchain is up to date). For example, my galaxycoin.conf isn't currently configured for solo mining, it is simply:

Code:
connect=71.4.209.204
connect=87.209.206.80

If you want to set it up for solo mining later, you'll need to add user/pass, IP and port, etc. For pool mining all you need to do is be able to make transactions, which just requires IPs to connect to. If you need more help there is a video tutorial on the first post of this thread for Win 7/8. Make sure you're doing this from the updated client though Smiley

I don't understand 1 thing. With the galaxy.conf file when it says add my username and password I am not solo mining I use a pool. So what do i need to fill in there.

It seems if i fix that it will fix the updating issue i am having

Thanks
Steve

Test transaction of 5 GLX successfully deposited on Cryptsy!

Not sure what the status is on block explorer, but TxID is 3ef43168f73619cab35b6917160fb86f3a86a470969d54a2f9a84a38d79fc6ea

Looks like trading could be back up? Grin

EDIT: (That is what that means, right?)
