I agree with that.
All the action would shift to PD, once the signature campaign starts.  Grin

If it ever starts. We could still be waiting for that next year. I'm kidding, but if they keep us waiting and we keep talking about PD, they are getting some free advertising too.

No links that users can click on, though.
For that, you need a signature campaign.  Grin

No! Some users are giving free advertising for PD. I saw some of the users. Smiley

And, please keep PD out of this thread as it hasn't started yet or don't know when it will. Mitchell has already said this a few pages back. Thanks! Smiley

The poll is not a good indicator. One person could vote 10 times if he wanted to. Would have voted yes (remove the add) if I see this earlier. It is too calculating and mean to put an ad on a thread.

The ad isn't a big one. AFAIK he put this ad after a long discussion in the forum, you could have raised your opinion at that time.

Don't be jealous when you[1] see others are earning some $$$...!!! Smiley

[1] I am telling in general, not just to medUSA.

Where can we discuss the upcoming PD signature campaign if it's not here?

Learning the troll avoidance button :)
I wouldn't have even bothered even putting it up to a poll but glad to see the community responded rightfully. Ignore the jealousy and envy and keep doing what you're doing as this list is very helpful to the community and most don't care about the small advert and have no problem with it being there.

True enough, I voted don't care since I really didn't care either way on the damn ad
It's there or it's not there it exists or it's absence of existing did not matter to me  Wink

To be honest, I didn't even notice the ad until I read this last page.  I had to go back to the OP specifically for it...and I have used the OP a few times (at one point I spent an hour looking at the various linked threads).

I don't see it as a big issue and have voted accordingly.

Ha, that says something about how much the ad might be worth to potential purchasers too.

When you say you don't see it as a big issue and have vote accordingly, that sounds like a vote for "i don't care".  But it seems a little ambiguos.  English is famous for a thing sometimes called "negative raising" where people say things like:

I don't think she should do that.

And they mean:

I think that she shouldn't do that.

So by this pattern, it's entirely clear whether you mean "I see it as not a big deal."  Or "I don't see it as a big deal".  If you catch my drift.

I understand your point but I intentionally did not weigh in with my opinion on what he should do and why he should do it regarding his thread and whether or not I think that his status as a Staff member should matter.  I was Staff for a very large News site for over five years and a recurrent theme was whether or not Site Guidelines should apply to Staff - "Can they post with opinions and not have it reflect on official stance of the Site" kind of stuff.  Staff members should have the freedom to do what other members are allowed.

I kind of agree with your point on potential purchasers...it is one of my biggest concerns regarding the effectiveness of these campaigns in general, especially for small campaigns. I have twice extended my participation in a closed campaign for free because they were small and cool but closed soon after they started due to no discernible difference...

I have updated the OP and checked the poll. The results are clear and I will act accordingly.

Multiple IPs are not hard to come by.

there are people with 10's of accounts here.

So only 1 against could make the NO option win. I myself would never use a forum poll result to any practical decision.

But good the yes option won anyway

It wasn't a forum poll. It only allowed 1 vote per ip. Number of forum accounts was irrelevant.

And the option that won was 'No'.

777coins campaign have several free spots for Full, Senior and Hero members.
I would recommend this Full Member special spot for those who used to write 100 posts weekly. I took the same spot one month ago and still not going to change campaign.

I have 1 spot for FULL MEMBER special rate ( up to BTC 0.06 / week )

& 4 spot for Senior spot & hero special rate ( BTC 0.035 / week )

@iqbal14st, monetizator4 already posted that on this same page.
@caga, virtapayseller666 already posted that on this same page.

Repeating stuff won't help it be updated faster. It just clutters the thread. And makes important information harder to see.

@tspacepilot don't read too much into it. MemoryShock was pretty clear in what he meant. It's not a problem for him either.

I voted "no."

Why? The ad is non intrusive, and mitchelł puts quite a lot of time into this. He should get some compensation, which is the ad money. It's not like he has ads spammed everywhere, one ad is OK.

He should keep having the add, it is his thread and he is doing a good work for the community.

Agreed. Actually all the campaigns should pay him since he's technically advertising them all. Cheesy One little ad doesn't hurt.
