I bought some physical coins a few months ago that I thought is a great investment and I have a few of them now but no plans of selling them yet. I also use Bitcoin to pay for my utilities like cable, phone, mobile phone bills. Now I am challenging my self on buying a car on which monthly payments will come from my earnings in this forum.

I guess bitcoin today is just for investment but still you can use it to buy in a store that is accepting bitcoin but not really in all store because I guess bitcoin is still in the process of adopting in so many countries and still many countries don't accepting bitcoins.
Same like me, I know bitcoin 3 months ago, I think late to know bitcoin because after I know and considering to buy bitcoin 2 weeks ago the price skyrocketed, and now I have about 0,25 btc from bought a week ago. I use bitcoin for online shopping.

Last year I tried to build online advertising platform with friends.
I didn't have enough funds so I spend some of my btc funds in the wallet.
I also cash out some of my btc funds in order to buy a new computer.
So, after all, I feel that I used my btc money wisely but now, when I see btc price, not sure any more Sad

I am not sure this is right or wrong for bitcoin but truth is that its happening.
We say bitcoin could prosper only when it will step into real world as fast mean of remittance and replaces other forms of money. But don't know when we all accepted price to be the determinant of success. This has brought bitcoin far-far away from reality to an assumed position where it could only grow as investment. Said but true.

I have use bitcoin mostly for trading proposes. I bought various ALT coin using my BTC, Sometimes i sell BTC on localbitcoins and paxful. I also like recharge my mobile phone with bitcoin.

I always read about localbitcoins. But I don't understand how to use it because based on what read. It is riskier to buy bitcoins their rather than on normal exchange like kraken.
There is a lot of ways in localbitcoins for exchanging bitcoins, and not risked ways. you should choose a good seller or buyer with a good reputation and make the deal online or in Live, if the buyer/seller living near to you.

And that's why people are not spending even a bit of BTC on real life things. BTC is an investment now and people are more interested in holding them rather than using them. Who knows one day we may have BTC jewelry and people keep them in their chains.

Don't you think price blast not correlate with its real life usage since its inception?

Its hoarded for speculative purpose but how many major cities in the world have even its ATM?

I mean we all the time correlate its value with fiat currency then buy/take then what's its purpose in my day to day life?

Who will accept it in store when confirmation time is so long.
Long confirmations is not a reason for shops to decline bitcoins  because bitcoins transactions are not irevisable and will go through the wallet that been sent off,it cannot be cancelled at all

I think you are expecting bitcoin to be used like any other fiat, and I have my doubts bitcoin is ever going to be used like that, many have equated bitcoin to gold, and that is the way bitcoin is working at the moment, if you look at gold you will see it does not move much, someone buys some gold and then keeps it in a safe for decades I think that is the same thing that is happening to bitcoin.

But my point is that nobody sells anything for fixed bitcoin amount but instead where its accepted its actually fiat value for which it is accepted.

Let say if you are buying coffee then you are paying fiat value worth of bitcoin not any set amount of bitcoin is fixed.

And nobody paid attention to my first question that this high price has no correlation with its practical usage.

Now bitcoin is already a part of payment tools in many places. Probably only a few large cities only, while for in this area can not be easily used. We are still limited with the existing infrastructure.

Bitcoin can literally be used for pretty much anything while you are online, hosting, gaming, VPNs, anything. Using it on local shops for example is another story, waiting for confirmation's could definitely be a problem but the Lightning Network should fix that on the future. We currently have bitcoin ATMs in 57 countries, we have a long way to go.

There are ways to "bet" if a transaction is going to be legitimate before confirmations start rolling in. You can check the address and unfold it's backwards history to see if there are older double-spendings thus I don't see a real issue here.
Also don't forget about what's going to happen in the near future, secondary chains won't need confirmations thus solving the issue for online/offline "speed requiring" shops like cafe's, bars etc.

There are many use off bitcoin that you can surely do and I think most of it are related online for further convenient transaction because bitcoin is an online money, but I have an online wallet in our country that have many convenient use by the means of bitcoin by simply paying electrical, water, internet and also credit card bills with no hustle, even loading up your phone is instant with bitcoin but the most thing that I like from this wallet is the withdrawal of fiat money with bitcoin.

I use bitcoin to buy electronics devices. I bought mining PC-s with it. I bought the first one on November 2016 and with the money won from it mining, I bought second one on March and third one a few days ago. I intend to mine in a business scale, for the moment I am putting different mining PC-s in different places and keep track of them with teamviewer. I also buy occasionally games in steam and maybe gamble a bit with it. Bitcoin has truly many real life usages but the user have to use his imagination to see all the benefits of using bitcoin in real life.
very honestly in my area  we have only the facility to use bitcoin to recharge our mobile balance, we do not have any other user of bitcoin. but we can use it in so many places for online shopping, in fact i am living in a backward area of my country, and i do not think that in my area the number of bitcoin users may be more that 5, so  i think it can also be the reason that we cannot use bitcoin in local shops because he shopkeepers even do not have any idea about it. therefore they are not accepting bitcoin for shopping.

Kind of same here, there are no local shops, even towards bigger cities, who accepts Bitcoin. Moreover our government has made some speculation, which keeps people in fear who are newbie or wants to indulge with cryptocurrencies. Our local Bitcoin exchange supports recharge of mobiles and all.

But among friends its common to use them. And about online services, I am happy to be able to use BTC.

I've use bitcoin to buy computers, gold, silver, and various collectibleo have s on this forum. It is very useful if you know how to spend it.

Bitcoin may use in every sector where we need to make payment.we are very lucky to have btc.

Bitcoin real life usage is buying items online, trading and investing. These are my usage of bitcoin were could really helps me in my daily life and gives extra income. Also, making some payment thru online so Im very thankful that I have bitcoin which less efforts in payment.

Same thing with me.  Here in my country I could use bitcoin to pay for my utilities like electricity, water bills, landlines, even school tuition fees.  Plus the fact that if you knew someone who uses bitcoin and have some transactions with him or her, you could pay him bitcoins.  Some trades their valuables with bitcoins and make some investments.  I heard that there are places in other country where they can buy foods using bitcoins.
I haven't seen the offline usage of bitcoin within my country but through Google have found several places where boards displaying bitcoin accepted. Hope this will be found all around the country as the cryptocurrency hasn't reached more of the public as we the users believe. It takes some time to get awareness and make a better way for all our transaction and money management needs.

There are not too many places where I can pay with bitcoin, maybe in some hipster bar or coffee shop.
That is why most people that have Bitcoin like to transfer what they have into some sort of fiat then purchase something online or offline. The transaction speed is pretty slow though with a super high transaction fee the time it requires for a confirm has a high chance of being faster than the norm.

Transferring Bitcoin to regular fiat is the most manageable method right now since people don't like to wait hours or days just for one confirmation.

Give it some time, the confirmation, fees and other kinds of problems will be solved eventually. Well people don't need to use bitcoin directly like some do, like even if they invest in or trade with bitcoin, they're still using it even tho if they exchange it. So i don't stress that much about ATMs in cities and such.
