Do any body know the exact reason for fall of bitcoin price? It has almost fallen $500 in the past three days.Any specific reason?

People get panicky as the Judgment day nears

I refer to August 1st, obviously. August seems to have always been a hard month for Bitcoin. In 2015 the price collapsed to measly 200 dollars per coin. In 2016 Bitfinex had been hacked with over 100,000 bitcoins stolen (and no one ever saw them again as if they just vanished in lalaland). This year it will be the Great Split day which Bitcoin may simply not survive as one coin. So people are selling out their Bitcoin stashes while the price is still high. And we might have yet to see plenty of pain ahead

The value of a declining currency is a perfectly normal thing. The market has always been a factor in the value of a currency. Recently, a lot of news about bitcoin changes has been posted on forums, which has had an impact on the psychology of users, and perhaps they notice some disadvantage, and they want to sell bitcoin to minimize future losses....

Frankly it's about time. I think any rational look at recent price growth shows that speculators have once again pushed the price into unwarranted levels.  My gut (which means little) is whispering a valuation around $1800 - $2200. We'll see.

Im with you but I cant stop myself from looking at the price right now and its still going down fast. Should we be worried? Theres possibly more selling pressure on August 1 too, just in case you forgot.

Nothing important has happened to bitcoin that we can relate the reduction in price to that. The only reason is high supply. There are investors who will be regret soon. There are people who can't be patient and are selling their bitcoins. After their withdrawal, prices will start to increase gradually and peoples who are patient now and people who are buying now will earn more money.

The only thing important is the hard fork FUD, that's all. Some people panic sell, then all the noobs that entered the cryptocurrency space lately are also panic selling, the smart people will buy the dip and things will continue as usual in the world of bitcoin.

This hard fork fud is another excuse for whales to buy cheaper BTC.

When the bubble bursts is historically a good time to buy, but how low are we expecting this slide to go?

Cash-out is when it falls no more than 200 dollars.

This one now is panic-selling, nothing more and nothing less.

The hard fork started it. Too much fear in the scene.

Now maybe it's time for the guys from both sides to sit down, relax a bit and talk like civilized people.

Not all the times bitcoin will rapidly increasing most of the users wanted to make the bitcoin fall for them to sell their coins and wait for the right price of the bitcoin to be fall and then buy another coins to be stock. The reason why is they wanted to keep alive of their profits.

Indeed, with sale of bitcoin made in large quantities, will certainly have an impact on decline in bitcoin prices, as happened today bitcoin prices fell to $ 2.281 and down from yesterday's price could reach $ 2,600.

A few things are hapenning. One is that the price is falling due to fear of jihan wu and bitmain saying they will hardfork and mine a different coin. They will fail and be owned. Let them.

Second is people panic selling due to others panic selling. Now is the time to buy if you are a long time holder. If u are a short term holder yesterday was the day to sell, not today. Dont lose money because you are impatient.

Sometimes bad news keeps the bitcoin price down, besides, the main factor of that is the massive sales going on, making the bitcoin price drastically. I'm sure, if that does not happen, maybe the bitcoin price will be stable.

I think this is just a correction, all the newcomers are out of money (FIAT) and price is stabilizing. Nothing special.

It's just a nice correction mate, price bubbles burst with those corrections until we reach the balance zone where buyers & sellers collide to a nice more stable price. Buy the dip if you want to profit &/or don't sell now, wait for it to recover Wink
I agree with you, this corrections are a lot better, then enourmous increase in price and then massive dump aka bubble... I think there are a lot more people who understands Bitcoin and when to buy it or when not, and all these people are saving us from another bubble Smiley

I think the bitcoin price starts falling because of the demand I think, not sure tho, but i also think it's normal for bitcoin to rise and to fall as well. There are so many instances and we don't really know what is really the reason for bitcoin to fall. But I think that it would rise again in a couple of days.

From my own point of view, no one can say for sure that this is the actual reason why the price increases or decreases, as we all make guessed statement or try to link it to one thing or the other. The simple fact is whether increasing or decreasing just see everything as an opportunity to make something out of it. And never forget the golden rule not to invest not more than you can afford to lose in the crypto world.
