Nothing important has happened to bitcoin that we can relate the reduction in price to that. The only reason is high supply. There are investors who will be regret soon. There are people who can't be patient and are selling their bitcoins. After their withdrawal, prices will start to increase gradually and peoples who are patient now and people who are buying now will earn more money.

Somebody posted this, cyber attacks on bitcoin exchanges, on one of the facebook group I am in. This and the whales cashing out their profit could be a reason of the price falling down. The question is, what is the floor of this fall?

This one is another round of price correction, which was triggered after some traders pulled out nice profit they have made in last few weeks followed by panic among newbie traders.  Grin

Perfect buy time.
The trigger time coincides with the release of bitmain's future plans on what they are going to do with the scaling debate and i think that is the main reason for the sell off as people who have invested money in it will panic that does not happen with only newbie traders but with every traders and that is what happened in the past few hours.

Do any body know the exact reason for fall of bitcoin price? It has almost fallen $500 in the past three days.Any specific reason?

Because of the big whales dumping their bitcoins and affecting the bitcoin market, of course there are lot of boobs when we are going to talk about holding bitcoin, then there is a lot of panic sellers and the whales will be the one who will but this bitcoins so the profits would be going all to them. Also if the demands get low.

Bitcoin was just in the bubble phase. Anything that moves exponentially, always blows up. Hope, that the population of the earth is an exception Smiley

Bitcoin users are that people who create the price for bitcoin. After bitcoin reached it's maximum many people started to cash out their coins, that provoked the price to fall.
After delay with my bitcoin transaction with Blockchain.info wallet I finally got my bitcoins, but the price is low today and I need to wait now for the new growth.

Bitcoin didn't reach its maximum. but apparently a lot of people thought that rising will stop for now and wanted to sell and gain some profit.
Bitcoin will surely continue to rise above 3000$ but it might take some time before the next time it will go up.
Basically, it works like any other economic system, it's a game of supply and demand.
You should buy when you think the price is low, and sell when it looks high enough for you.

Peak of the current bubble is over Smiley It's third time we can see that pattern. 300% rise in two months? Definitelly doesn't look like stable growth. I am in the fiat now, waiting to re-buy 50-100% more coins.

People or Bitcoin holder or Traders are now taking profits and at the same time there are instances that people do panic sell when they saw the price is falling down again. Its really ridiculous to think off that price drops for about $500 in a matter of 2 days as far as I remember which we can really say that anytime price really do fall or rise in a matter of short time.We should really not forget the volatility of bitcoin.

It's just a nice correction mate, price bubbles burst with those corrections until we reach the balance zone where buyers & sellers collide to a nice more stable price. Buy the dip if you want to profit &/or don't sell now, wait for it to recover Wink

This is bitcoin and there is no reason to start panicking. It is common for bitcoin to have big crashes and big upwards waves, that is one of the beauties of bitcoin , you never know what to expect from it. Whenever there is a price fall there is always some lucky person who buys back bitcoin. You have to factor also the scaling debate and possible hard fork in the beginning of August.

if you remember the law of demand and supply. i think the big reason for bitcoin price is demand and supply. when bitcoin demand increase  and every one demand for  bitcoin and invest their money in bitcoin. the price of bitcoin go upward and bitcoin value increased day by day. and bitcoin supply goes decrease. because every one hold their bitcoin and want more bitcoin and bitcoin price increase day by day. when bitcoin price increase than people donot want buy bitcoin  and  every investor sell out their bitcoin thats why bitcoin price goes down ward

For me there's no reason to panic regarding the scenario of bitcoin up and low of pricing this is maybe because of market value adjustment due the holder bitcoin are selling their stocks to earn high profit. Beside that it is common scenario on crypto world. On previews years it happen the movement of bitcoin value.

Mainly new investors being scared/uncertain and therefore bailing out. Also some cashing of huge profits since the bull run from march till recently.

Nothing to worry about Smiley

There was a thread here on BTCT about "Pump and Dump" groups recently
I wonder was the price affected by a concentrated effort to "cash out" of BTC
or was it is snowball effect?

I certainly hope this infighting sorts itself out because there will be no winners

nothing apart from empty panic selling.

this is not a correction anymore, correction was happening all the way when the price was rising. right now it is nothing else other than people being uncertain of the future and because of that fearing this future and selling.

Yup! it is pretty normal actually and that is bitcoin for you, if there are too many buyers, the value will rise and if there are too many that are selling or converting then the value will fall it is just that simple to understand, I have never seen any bad news lately that are happening in bitcoin news, and it is just selling out of fear.
