There are many ICOs out there, but more than 50% of them fail.
From my analogy, could this be the reasons why ICOs fail?
1. Being too complicated:
If you want investors to favour your ICO, make sure they understand your coin offering. Be concise yet interesting, creative yet not too ‘techy’ and try to explain concepts from scratch. Of course, the detail you go into is likely to depend on your target audience.
2. No unique Use case and lack of creativity:
The reality is, ICOs are not straightforward and with new ideas and concepts arising daily, you need to get noticed and that means coming up with some unique Use case
So, before a developer even attempts to launch an ICO or enter the crypto world, ask yourself: "What will make investors choose this particular ICO over a competitor’s ICO?"
I believe the list continues.
The thing most people love is something simple, fast and cheap. Maybe as an example is when whatsapp started replacing sms. I think the idea of whatsapp is very simple, but makes the old technology look troublesome and expensive.
There is no standard in crowd funding because until now it's not yet regulated.
So more people will attempt to start an ICO but in reality they lack the skills and some are just doing it to scam people, this results to lower
success rate of ICO over the total ICOs done.

The failure of the ICOs may be caused by some factors including what you have said. Additionally, some ICOs can be failed during the ICO and after the ICO. During the ICO, it is because the lack of investors to invest in the ICO. It can be caused by the less of concept, team, and community. After the ICO, it may be caused by the huge selling away after the distribution and there is no control by the team to manage it.

There are many reasons for the failure of ICO, but I think the reason for most of the ICO's failure is because their projects are completely unrelated to the blockchain. Many projects actually do not meet the conditions required by the ICO. They just wrote an impossible realized white paper and then immediately start ICO,that have not been carefully prepared are necessarily failing.

In my opinion, there are several reasons for ICO's failure, but it all boils down to inexperience.

It is important to have an unfair advantage when building any business. You must explain why your solution is better than any other solution. Making incremental improvements doesn't help your business succeed.

One of the best ways to screw up an ICO: Have a bad whitepaper.

Here's my blog post on how to really fail with you ICO whitepaper.

Yes, that's true. The other reasons why an ICO fails is because of the community. The community can influence the growing or progress of an ICO so well. It is the way they spread and introduce their product to the people and investors.
Additionally, it may be also the similar product with others and they are lack of the concept and benefits.

Actually it is the concept of law of supply and demand analysis.
Through the least demands that they received in the international market they loses their lifeblood to continue which is brings them to fail in the industry.

Some ICO projects are not well defined even at the begining, they are not providing enough info, team is not involved, they have no future plans and have very vague white paper, so it is often obvious that the project will not have success, as nobody cares really.

most cases happen to ICO failed because there are not enough funds to be able to run it. then why be like that? because investors are not interested in investing in it. many of the factors that cause it. such a concept is not interesting, as well as the marketing team who are less serious. the team certainly provide an important role against this because it's their job to make investors come give them capital.

There can be a lot of reason why the ICO fails but i think the main reason is the abilitities of the dev team is being underestimated and cannot longer continue to ICO or their are no enough funds for it during the ICO

I really doubt that ICO complication has anything to do with the success or failure of a token related venture.  Maybe a smidgen of correlation given the very few technically inept people who actually take part in these.  What matters if they have a vision ("techy" or not), legit devs, and a decent marketing team.

there are many reasons why ICO fails, I think the failure of ico is due to the unsupportive teamwork in completing the ICO marketing especially when they want to cooperate with colleagues, the work team can not have a good experience and the product they produce is not interesting to sell.

Not really, it's mostly about the hype and advertising. Telling you, it's a tons of good nice projects on the market but nobody knows about them due to the situation that projects aren't presented anywhere
in my opinion, the main failure of ICO is a less interested investor. sometimes, they have a good and professional team, and a good concept. only investor interest in the project is still lacking. whether it's because of what.

Do you mean that they fail at reaching their caps or at launching the actual project?

If it is cap wise, I think people are being more careful before investing. Too many ICOs turned out to be scams so now people are not willing to throw their money that quickly into the first project they find (of course they should have done the research, but hey, to each their own). Others may be disappointed that in a couple months the project they invested in failed to become the next BTC (unrealistic expectations) so they might prefer to invest in established coins.

If it is launch wise it could have been a poorly designed project, a bad team, unrealistic goals, etc.

ICO projects are unsuccessful because investors have not really invested in potential ICOs. They have not really explored the ICO projects they invest in. They lack the initiative in selecting the initial project. I recommend that you carefully prepare and select the potential ICO project in the future.

There were many successful ICOs in the past couple of years, but there have been also many unsuccessful ICOs and ICO scams. It seems to me that the main reason for  ICO to fail is lack of regulatory reporting standards. ICOs are under no regulatory obligation to report on funding figures or on the economic health of the company or the project, which make analytics regarding ICOs difficult to find out.

I believe in those aforementioned lists why some ICO's fail. To add, i think greediness of one of the team that lead to theft. Also, i think lack of constant update and failure to do what was promised in their roadmap could give hesitation to investors that could lead to dumping.
