Good job guys, and actually good work. You have a lot to do
Yes I saw the results and posted. Is there something wrong with that? I've followed silk for some time and was surprised at the ICO results. Nowhere did I say silk was a scam. I said, some ICO scams have generated more BTC than dark. I wish the best to the coin and its supporters..
I probably got you wrong. Nobody wants to prevent you from posting but since you used the word scam I wanted to make sure you were aware that this team has been open since the very beginning. No need to call for a scam here.
The team is not scammy but definitely greedy. And that was the main cause why so little was raised.
a) Convoluted description of how SLK and DSLK interacts. They could simply say it that the system will sell SLK to pump DSLK and sell DSLK to pump SLK to maintain same marketcap for both coins. but NO it has to be worded so complex that no one understands and no one argues
b) Greedy ICO terms. only 30% of the coins available for Sale. rest held by dev team. thats a huge premine by any standards. if that was not enough, "Volatility sets the price". Really? so all those noobs will think that they bought DSLK at 0.25 usd per DSLK will be in for a surprise when they find out the real price they paid. In essence, dev doesnt care if the ICO raise so little since they will have 90% of the DSLK in their possession and only less than 10% will be disctibuted to ICO investors.
Next time try to make ICO terms fair and simple. You will raise a lot more BTC.
The price paid will be $0.25 per DSLK for people who put in BTC. We never even reached the threshold to raise the minimum price and as a consequence of that, "volatility" did not set the price. The price was a flat $0.25.
The key word in ICO is "Initial" and if you realize that you will realize that the rest of those coins will be sold in subsequent offerings as has been said on many occasions and has been the plan for more than a year.
Perhaps you are just mad that you missed out on a great deal. Perhaps not. Either way, calling us "greedy" is insane. I have put probably over 1500 hours of work into this project alone. Now add up all the other team members contributions and think to yourself, "Does ~$50,000 pay for the teams labor?" If you are thinking rationally, the answer is obviously no.
You may still mine DarkSilk or earn rewards from hosting a stormnode yourself. Unlike many ICOs these days, DarkSilk can still be earned by servicing the network. Many token/coin offerings create all the coins and sell them in one go. That is not how we decided to go about this and I believe the entire process was done fairly. not to mention the fact that anyone who participated with Silk instead of BTC essentially got a 25% rebate when you consider the current market rate of Silk. Unfair? Greedy? Pleeeeeeeaaaaaassssseeeee.
I am invested in DSLK. Not heavily but not peanuts also. Happy to be proved wrong.
