It doesn't worth it to fake ID/PP just to participate an ICO. Most of them got the price decreased {drastically} when be listed in exchanges.

Besides, have you got any update on this ICO. I got an email from them that the crowdsale has been postponed. About 1 week from there, and no more update.
I've invested in monetha ico and i've sold my coin at the decent profit. Not all of the ico has a good future. But it depends on your movement, if you are already took a lot of profit and just try to exit from there, because a lot of people are still believing with the potentially.

Despite the ban on ICO's I think that many of the countries major players will end up releasing their products from Singapore or Hong Kong which fall under a different jurisdiction from memory.

The project itself had a solid plan and road map, it was not one of the Scam coins and as such when the ICO does take place, I will be buying some tokens.

The worst effect of the ban is that the Chinese can't invest in them, which is a massive part of the market
All one has to do is create a fake passport online and fake your citizenship.  Do it from a VPN.  Chinese people can pose their from Hon King.  Their KYC is a joke.

Is it really that easy? I don't know anything about it but it seemed quite serious
That is not really recommended, you are risking getting into serious trouble in the case you are caught, not only you are probably going to lose your coins, you are going to get in problems by violating the rules of the Chinese government and then you could go to jail by impersonating someone else or by modifying official documents, it is not worth it so do not do it.

I do not believe it is so easy to make a false passport and make a simple kyc. Not everyone knows how to use the dark web or know a vpn.
It's best for them to wait for the ico to end up buying when red pulse, or any other company, is listed on an exchange.
This will lose some gain but will be more relaxed, and we will be more confident in participating in the ICO.  Grin

Before the first quarter of 2018 is over, the Chinese will be able to participate in the ico's again, there's simply no stopping them and the government simply wants to regulate them so their people don't get scammed anymore

i was watching this project till to china ICO ban. it seems very good project. maybe i join in the future.
i have changed my decision after that news from china. i was looking forward to invest a lot into it but at the last time i have changed my decision after the china bans on ico. there is a huge role of china in the crypto market and a huge number of investors are from china and this will really effect the role of ico's in the future.
although i have invested some but not enough and still looking forward for it to come to exchange as soon as possible.

You know the success of a company doesn't rely only on the success of the ICO right?

Just got an email saying the ICO is postponed. Even though Chinese citizen were banned from the ICO, they still want to make sure they comply with all rules and regulations in place.

I wonder what's next..
This is never good news even if they want to comply with the law and that is good, the fact that the ico has to be postponed is a red flag, if you already invested see if you can get your money back because I think this is not the right time to invest in an ICO, let the dust settle a bit and see what comes out of it.

I also received an email that we can still join out mainland China, We just need to provide our information that were not living in China and i think US if i am not mistaken. The ban is only temporary which means they can still continue the project after this.

I'm expecting the value of Neo will rise up again affecting the Red Pulse ICO.
Governments don't have temporary bans.  Nixon said getting of the gold standard was temporary.  Income taxes were supposed to be temporary.  Don't bet on this one being temporary.  Sorry, venting.
I agree on this, politicians are a bunch of liars, they have that reputation and they deserve it, they will always try to make you accept something with excuses and finally when it is in place you cannot do anything else but comply, many taxes in my country have been passed with that excuse and decades later they are still charging those very same taxes.

there is nothing more permanent than a temporary ... I agree that it may be temporary, but maybe forever.

Well, Bitcoin was banned in China from January until May of this year. There's no reason for this one to not be temporary as they even stated so themselves.

Big difference here; I have read statements saying the Chinese will not completely ban ICO's, only regulate them. In order to regulate them now, they need to ban the ICO's until regulations are in place. Second, the Chinese can still invest in cryptos when they get listed on exchanges. All they wanted was to stop scams from happening without any consequence
