Let love lead

This Image here doesn't depict the rich and poor in the same setting, that rich guy in quote is as though he's just home waving a friend, and the poor guy going to a party of some sort.

The rich are associated with simple looking, yet quality clothing that matches every occasion while the poor deals more with packaging to belong in their dressing alone and not in their doings.

When you talk about spending more, it has a lot to do with your income level, and not the clothes you seem to be putting on. In that regard, the poor spend more on limited resources since most of them uses their last cards to look good compared to the rich who has enough money and can afford even more than they aquire.

As I was scrolling through my Facebook I saw this photo and how the image discribes the poor to be a kind of people that wears expensive thing to impress people to look like the rich, and the other way round, the rich appears to be simple probably not to be noticed as a rich person. My question now is that,

Does wearing of expensive cloths, shoes and other expensive things a sign of being poor? Or does it mean the rich doesn't wear expensive things or doesn't leave a luxurious lifestyle?

I think you have touched upon a really interesting aspect of social reflection and personal expression: somehow true, maybe, that sometimes people who are financially worse off can afford buying expensive things to create images or impressions they can make fit or look richer thanks to social pressure or desire to assert status.

On the other hand, many wealthy persons might well have no need to flash fashionably or display their wealth. That may be a matter of personal preference, not wanting to draw unnecessary attention to oneself, or a taste for simplicity in beauty. Many times, the rich are able to enjoy their lives of luxury without necessarily needing to flash it around with elaborate clothes or fashion accessories.

Of course, the general rules that decided who could wear what, depending on their social status in society, no longer bear relevance today. Clothing may also portray personal preferences and all sorts of other circumstances unrelated to one's wealth. Of course, this is not necessarily about being wealthy or poor; expensive clothes mean nothing-they maybe to project some image or meet social expectations. In the same way, good clothes don't always translate to being poor; many rich people like simple things. Fashion is influenced by the year's economy among other factors. Therefore, appearance may be very misleading as a basis for any perception of wealth.

There is no valid source that can be used as a reference for the truth about this image. Everything seen in the picture is fake, although there are people with very low economic levels who wear expensive clothes and other accessories to look like rich people, but their numbers are very small. This is just an imaginary game in my opinion, but in real life, the things that rich people use are never within reach of poor people.

The real poor don't have time to pretend to look like rich people, they have so many burdens to bear in life, every penny they earn will be saved to meet other needs. While the rich spend money in their own way, wearing simple clothes is a camouflage so that their relatives do not ask them for loans. Imo

You do raise a good point in that the image is misleading and not too true. It is somewhat a fact that people, especially those of modest means, invest in luxurious commodities to project an image of being well off, but this is barely the case. Most people who struggle to get financial ends together often focus on meeting their basic needs rather than the outward appearance.

On the other hand, rich people may also wear simpler clothes for various reasons such as not wanting to be noticed or keeping their privacy intact. Of course, this may be some sort of cover-up in order not to create speculation by others or an assessment based on perceived asset base.

Overall, it is not necessarily appearance that dictates economic status, and motivations for choosing clothes can be complex and multi-layered. Perhaps the picture does not say it all in the different ways people manage their financial situation and personal expression.

There are poor people who like to spend money to show off, trying to show off that they are rich, but there are also poor people who are very humble and live very discreetly so as not to offend anyone. Meanwhile, there are rich people who are very humble and do not want to be the center of attention, but there are also rich people who are very arrogant, conceited and look down on others because they think they are rich.

Our world is colorful, everyone has different thoughts about life. Even the personalities of each person in the same family are completely different, let alone everyone in the world. You can't judge all poor people are the same or all rich people are the same just by looking at a photo. This is a short-sighted thought, nothing more, nothing less.

If you want to judge someone, you need to meet them in person and feel the reality instead of just listening to others or believing nonsense spread on the internet.

That's a way for rich people to brainwash the poor to not become rich, the rich will act like they're in the same level like the poor, this way the poor will think "what's the point to become rich if we're same?"

The poor wear expensive outfit because they want to get validation or they want to hangout with the rich.

The rich wear cheap outfit because privacy is the most important for them, they already get validation and everyone want to become their friends.

The rich spend the most on luxury, they just not reveal it to public.

I don't know if this also happens in your country or if this only happens in my area. But I also have several acquaintances who are rich people who always look very simple and don't look so luxurious. So I thought that their clothes might be cheap because they looked like clothes I saw in ordinary markets that were cheap. However, after I found out about several well-known and luxury brands, it turned out that many of them produced simple clothes but the prices were very expensive. So I can conclude that rich people dressing simply doesn't mean their clothes are low-priced. Because even though they look low, their clothes are made from soft material and are comfortable to wear, so the price is expensive. but many people who are not rich look luxurious. But I often find that clothes that look luxurious are actually just imitation models from well-known brands.

So I guess we can't judge everything by what we see. but what I know is that rich people prioritize comfort but still look neat and elegant.

I can see what you are alluding to OP but I think that’s more of a social status thing, people wanting to appear rich & cool or whatever to fit into a category that they think makes people respect them. I think it’s maybe the middle class who try to act rich more than poor people.
Its not really that shocking anymore on which we are living on a society whereas middle class or even to those who are included on poverty line which is really that spending up big time
just to make themselves look rich and thats the sad thing because instead that it is really that saved up for more important matter then they are really just that spending up unwisely just because
they do really want or like for other people to respect or amaze into their image because having that kind of impression that they are rich which on the moment that situation do comes then they
do end up on getting broke in the end on the moment that they are really that trying to provide their needs on which this is really that a sad thing.

Its not our obligation on making ourselves to impress other people. What you do get with that? The thing here is about on how to survive and be sensible on the actions that you are taking and never
tend to make yourself get in level with those rich people because you are really just that making yourself that prone into disaster. This is why its better to stay up on what you are
and dont try out to impress other people because there's nothing you can get or gain something from it.

None describe them why because it's a lifestyle.
There are people I mean including both Rich and poor who are freak of luxury, for instance they love using a particular brand of phone such as Iphone and Samsung, whenever new version of it comes out they would want to have them because they love using them when they are newly released or launched on the market. There some Rich people who loves living expensive as well while there are others who doesn't like because that is the way they are being brought out.

Some characters you are seeing today people are displaying are inborn characters it can't be changed, unlike attitudes that is subjected to changes. For example of an characters, he always go for clubbing, she can't stay without smoking, he womanized, he do buys expensive things. These things are things that are deposited in them that can't change even though they have their respective family they would continue the same.

Altitude; he prefers paster but love local delicacies, meaning the person can eats whatever available. Now let me also relate it to what you put here, the poor doesn't lives to impress anyone neither do the Rich loves being natural, but what matters is their own orientation while they are growing, and of a true had came across someone who is such wealth but doesn't look as one, at same time have also seen someone who is wealthy but love expensive things both his cars and their wears are all very expensive.

In summary: character defines whom we are in real life and if you wanna know the people around you give them power or money then you will see the true human they are.

Forget it when you talk about luxury most especially in the context of the image posted, you have to first of all mentioned what the career of both the rich dude and the so called poor dude is, and why they both dress the way they did, the poor guy dress like a musician who knows he may be an entertainer, so and the rich guy could be a doctor, so both have different way and style of life.

So let not judge by how they dress without checking why the take such style of dressing, musician spends chunks of money on dressing, even the upcoming musician must dress expensive regardless of how much money he has.
