When it comes to living a life of luxury it depends on the individual involved as we have different people with different mindset there's are Rich people who live a luxurious lifestyle while there are still Among the rich class that decides to live a decent lifestyle to me it all depends on the exposure level of the individual involved and how the person views life in general

I have come across persons who believe in enjoyment so no matter how they find them self they will like to live that life of luxury weather they are poor or not, to them there's no pleasure in living a simple lifestyle when they will eventually die one day and leave everything they have acquired on earth

While on the other hand there are rich people who think of expanding their business empires rather than living a life of luxury to them lt better they leave a legacy for the next generation of people, so critically looking at your question there's really no one that spends more between the rich and the poor but it an individual thing
There are indeed wealthy people who do really still loves to show off their wealth and would really be wearing up those luxury items as much as possible. Although they arent really that too tactful or being that too obvious but for those who do know on what luxury items or things would be then they would really be able to spot out that those things arent cheap. There are some wealthy people who would be choosing up to live
on a life on which they do really look simple and its something that you cant be able to obviously tell that they are rich but in behind they are the ones who could be able to sustain up themselves in speaking about financial related situations on which we know that poor people will really be able to struggle out. Its true that there are really those people who are sitting on poor situation do really have those kind of behavior
on which despite of that financial struggle they do really tend to choose up on buying something luxurious even if it means that they will really be taking up some loan for it to be acquired which is really that a foolish
step to be made on. This is why it will really be that important that you should really be that making use of your own common sense on trying out to re-assess whether your actions are really that something
ideal or something that would really be putting you on great trouble.

Poor people actually do not accept the reality that they are poor people, so they try very hard to get attention and validation from other people, while rich people no longer need validation that makes them look rich. There is even a survey that shows that poor people buy more new cell phones than rich people and this fact is undeniable.
That is the reality in our environment, in my opinion they follow a lifestyle that is too excessive to show off their wealth in order to get the social status they want. Usually poor people, as you said above, do not want to be underestimated by their surrounding environment, such as their work environment or home environment.

It's different with rich people, in fact, before they get this wealth, they automatically have experienced bitterness in their lives, of course they know very well how difficult it is to earn money. and they know very well that it takes a lot of time to start or build a business, so they value the money they get much more than wasting it uselessly. So he prioritizes his family's future in building as much of his business as possible rather than buying an expensive brand that is useless.

In my personal opinion, judging whether someone is rich or poor just based on their clothes/appearance, you could say that this assessment will sometimes be a little wrong. Because as seen in the picture, rich people sometimes look simple and poor people sometimes look or wear more luxurious clothes than rich people. This does exist now, but if we draw conclusions only from this limited research, I am sure the results will be a little less relevant. Because in fact, quite a few rich people look cooler with more luxurious clothes. Likewise with underprivileged people, quite a few also dress simply in ordinary clothes. So in this context we cannot judge whether someone is rich or not just in terms of appearance.

Because basically appearance is only limited to style. So it depends on the desires of each individual, whether they are rich or not. The point is, if we talk about style or fashion, almost everyone can look and style like a rich person. Because currently there are lots of famous items/jewelry or clothing brands that are imitated and can be bought at cheaper prices. For example, like gold, currently there is a lot of imitation gold circulating, and the same goes for well-known brands of clothing or shoes. So the conclusion I can get is that we cannot judge whether someone is rich or not if we only look at their appearance. Because basically everyone has different styles and desires.

Even if they want to look rich, but poor people do not have the capabilities to afford the luxury that rich people can easily get. That's why when it comes to luxurious outfits and materials, it's only the real rich ones can actually afford to buy it, while the poor ones may only afford those class A items, not actually the original ones, so they can still look rich and classy like how the rich ones  were seen.
Exactly. It doesn't make sense that poor people can have outfits valued around $8000. Spending $8000 isn't a habit of poor people, only rich people can do it. At least, they are middle-class people who can buy the expensive outfits. I think it will be more sense if we compare middle-class and high-class people when it is about outfits.
Also, do rich people really wear t-shirts that only cost $40-50? Some people say that Mark Zuckerberg, Elon or Gate wear cheap shirts but is that true? I agree that the clothes they wear look very simple but that doesn't mean they are cheap as we think. I find it absurd that rich people who own billions of dollars wear cheap clothes that only cost a few dozen dollars like many people still idolize. Is anyone here a fashion expert?

However, when someone is wearing clothes or goods valued thousands dollars, he surely isn't a poor one. We must know how the capability of poor people to spend money. Instead of spending thousands dollars, they are even difficult to get hundred dollars. It is the reality, isn't it?  Undecided

In my country, poor people even have to ask other people for old clothes to wear. They don't even want to spend $2-5 on a new shirt, so how can they have thousands of dollars to buy clothes? I'm really surprised that people take an unsourced photo provided by the OP, and start insulting poor people and claiming that poor people are wasteful.

Expensive clothes or expensive watches or expensive phones are a scheme of these companies.

iPhone and Android are both smart phones and it is possible to do the same with both, but if we buy an Android phone for 200 dollars, we have to buy an iPhone for 2000 dollars. The difference here is social status. We consider someone who buys an iPhone for $2000 as a high-status family member. But those who are really wise will never waste money like this. When we go out wearing a pair of pants but you don't come and ask me how much these pants cost you so why should we waste money in the name of luxury lifestyle, it shouldn't.

If what we measure is who is richer then of course appearance cannot be used as a benchmark for who is rich and who is poor, and in the picture we see that rich people look simple while poor people look luxurious, but that's only a part, because I would say that there are also rich people who look luxurious. So I think for the matter of appearance it depends on each person's taste, maybe there are people who think that by looking luxurious it makes people praise them and they feel proud of it even though their appearance drains their pockets especially for poor people. On the other hand I think regardless of whatever it is the point is if you do have a less than good financial situation then balance your lifestyle with the finances you have, simply don't buy something you don't really need, and it's better to prioritize something more important.
But we are living in a world on where there are tons of judgmental people on which they would really be basing up your status in life on how you do look and this is where wearing up something could help out to have that kind of impression of people towards you specially if you do wear up something plus having those expensive phones or whatever luxury that you could be able to obtain on which these people doesnt even know on what are the struggles and hardship that we are really that able to encounter. On the moment that storm comes and since you have spent all the money you do have earlier on buying into those luxury things, then you would really be having those kind of regrets on which it would be leading out into that kind of self realizations on which this is a normal reaction to have. Poor people or in average will really be having this kind of behavior.

Talking up generally about human behavior then we do really want for us to make that being updated into the latest things. Having that good looking and posture will really be giving out that kind of impression
on which it might end up for people to respect you specially if you do really look like rich because of what you do wore. Real rich or wealthy people are the ones who do wear up some simple plain shirt
and even some people do really wear up slippers as if they are really just that on their own houses on which if you do tend to compare both people and their status then you could be able to say
that looks isnt a solid indication for you to determine whether a person is rich or poor. There's no way on knowing it out directly.

Yes, it is true, having a luxurious standard of living is the dream of most people, wearing luxurious clothes and expensive equipment can increase our self-worth in the eyes of others, you will be more respected and considered not an ordinary person, I want it too, but I don't want to make my life more difficult just for something that is not very useful for my life, unless I am a billionaire who has a lot of money.

Remember that other people will never care about how difficult you are, you have a lot of luxury goods but behind the scenes you also have a lot of installments that you have to pay to pay off all the luxury goods that you have taken, it is a situation that is really full of tension and pressure, as I said above that other people will not care about the difficulties you experience, meaning this is a choice, you are free to choose one of two options between looking simple but living comfortably or looking luxurious but full of pressure.

But on the other hand, I might not have a problem with it when a high lifestyle contributes equally to you, such as using or wearing luxury goods as a way to promote the goods and you get a few percent profit when many people are interested in buying them, as influencers, content creators or celebrities do.

The image above is false, not all rich people dress simple even if this debate has been for long I always disagree. Poor people always feel the need to do much even when there’s no money but that doesn’t mean they spend lavishly. The common thinking about humans we judge people just mere looking at their dress and how they speak it’s so common to an extend people start creating this narrative about poor people wanting to dress expensive, everyone is just different so we don’t expect people to think uniformly.

For years, people have been trying to make a judgment based on these and similar pictures. It may not be right to draw a general conclusion based on the clothes of the rich or the clothes of the poor. There are luxury goods that are above a certain quality, as well as those that are of standard quality and sold at a high price. In other words, it is not necessary to criticize someone who can pay for a quality product, or it may not be right to make certain inferences based on the money they pay for that product.

I think it is not normal to criticize the whole based on certain things. Sometimes I also make these criticisms, but I correct my criticism later. I agree with you that everyone is different and that one should not have a single type of thought.

Therefore, to judge someone poor or rich is not measured by what they wear.
The measure of someone's rich or poor is not on what they wear, but rather on what they have in their lives and of course this will lead more to the amount of assets and also their power through business so that the person can truly be called rich by others. Because the one who judges the richness or poverty of each person is other people, not themselves because if someone who claims to be rich to other people openly, it could be that he is not actually rich. So the benchmark for this must depend heavily on other people's assessments based on what other people have seen of what the person already has, not on what the person wears on his body.

It is said" All hoods makes no monks". the meaning is that the clothes does not change the mind. No man becomes a dervish by wearing the dress of a dervish. The identity of a human being is its essence.
Although a rich person has all the comforts of life, but he and his children do not have the will to progress. Which is the basis of man. It is said that peace is a great wealth. And its availability is a great blessing of Allah. And most of the time the nobles are also deprived of it. But in comparison, the rich and the poor live a peaceful life. This is a fact.

As I was scrolling through my Facebook I saw this photo and how the image discribes the poor to be a kind of people that wears expensive thing to impress people to look like the rich, and the other way round, the rich appears to be simple probably not to be noticed as a rich person. My question now is that,

Does wearing of expensive cloths, shoes and other expensive things a sign of being poor? Or does it mean the rich doesn't wear expensive things or doesn't leave a luxurious lifestyle?

The ways of spending is subjective and it's not about been rich or been poor. There are rich people that love show off but the way they do it might be different. When an hustling guy or lady dress, you will know that indeed these person is not wealthy but they are doing well, even from the dressing and fashion trends you will know. However, when a wealthy person want to spend on wears, they don't go for trends but expensive items, they can wear a classic gold necklace of $100k and nobody will know because they don't like show off.

Some of them spend recklessly but they do it in way the don't lose, they spend by investing something that will be worth something tomorrow. Check their cars, they love buying limited edition cars because such cars are worth money tomorrow, when they buy watches they go for diamond design because such can be resale later for profits but when poor or average guys go for Gucci bags and Fendi, such things doesn't Hava a resale value, that's the difference between the rich and the poor.

The two pictures shown in the stimulus diagram show rich people living simple lives and poor people living luxurious lives. People who are intelligent adults mostly like to live simple life and they don't like to waste. But those who are stupid type and can't lead the life style properly, they just want to be rich by buying expensive things but in reality their family background is very very bad.

Yes, it's true, bro, nowadays there are many rich people whose lives are simpler than the poor who live with all the luxuries, sometimes rich people don't mean they can't afford luxury goods, but they use their respective wealth appropriately and they don't use it all in vain. There's no point in thinking, if people who are really rich never show off their wealth, but people who pretend to be rich will always show off their wealth even though it's all the result of debt and credit, many poor people now hide their poverty to show they are rich to other people. , basically they are people who cannot afford it but force themselves to look richer in the eyes of other people.

Sometimes living a luxury life you most ought to be rich before thongs can be show in your body, I don't know for other persons but I know very well that luxury living is expensive and you are not rich you can't afford to get them, but some will say is a choice, but you don't have money you are choice less, and anything you see you will accept it with faith, wearing expensive clothes when you no backup I don't think that's a nice ideas for someone that want to grow, if you want to grow in live I think you have to try to do things nice, doing things nice is by calculating for future.

I agree with you that buy good and expensive things is actually a choice and their are rich people that they are entitled to their opinion on how to dress simple while others love exotic lifestyle and many more so their is nothing more than doing what you enjoying doing most because their is a lot of people that will think that maybe its because of their personality so we just have learn to understand what people love. Their outfits that you can not even be able to predict what they worth if not that you are told.

Looking nice is just another way of making your self presentable, and those that do business and deals should know what am talking about because when you meet people that is exactly how they will judge you so you need to be addressed properly. Their are watches that you might not even know their worth if not that you know watches or cloths very well because they are always looking like normal outfits but very expensive and another things is that you don't expect me to be rich and not look nice i will try to make my self comfortable as much as I want what will now be the essence of making money when you can not even buy the things you like.

All this is going to be determined by the personality of that individual, and what they want, your point is totally valid you can not always judge by what they wear.
