My question now is that, Does wearing of expensive cloths, shoes and other expensive things a sign of being poor? Or does it mean the rich doesn't wear expensive things or doesn't leave a luxurious lifestyle?

No the rich do also wear expensive things but they don't wear them to show off. The poor wear expensive things that they can't afford to show off to other poor people. When the rich are flexing their wealth, it is for their other rich friends and they want to belong to a group or something like that. The poor man will use all his savings to buy expensive things and go broke but the rich are buying the quality that the item represents and not the looks. You can see a rich man wearing a Gucci shirt but it won't be those flashy ones with all the colours of the rainbow. They'll wear a quality Gucci shirt that they can own for years and yet it won't have lost its quality but the poor man will wear a Gucci shirt made for the poor to look rich. The shirt isn't made from quality but to look expensive and it won't last. The poor man will have to be changing his shirt regularly and spend more money too.

What is seen in the picture is not entirely true, poor people and rich people have differences in terms of lifestyle, while the person in the picture is more accurately called a person who is forcing himself to look like a rich person or more precisely he is covering up his identity by pretending to be a rich person. Don't define something without conducting a survey of the lives of the majority of poor people and the lives of rich people, especially if the image is only a work of art where the figure in it cannot be identified. Luxurious living is always attached to the rich, while the poor continue to struggle in their own way to survive, instead of wearing luxurious clothes to be considered rich, they prefer to use the money to cover all the shortcomings in their lives.

What I see in the picture, is that if we switch signs poor and rich, nothing would change. We only see two different persons that are dressed for different occasions. The fact that one person has spend over $8k on his look does not mean his is poor. Also I find it wrong to judge one persons wealth by the way he dresses. Everyone dresses in clothes that are comfortable for them. In general this is just a picture and all people are different. There are those who want to pretend to be rich, those who buy only expensive and luxury things, those who are modest, those who dont see any benefits of expensive close. People are different.

The point is that rich people do not dress as rich, some of them live frugally and doesn't flaunt their money to people. But there are rich and very wealthy that really shows off their wealth with expensive cars and dresses. Definitely, it's not correct to judge one person in terms of his wealth with the way their dresses. But there are individuals that his social climbing, and trying to be wannabee rich in social media but in real life they don't have that much money.

So it's really up to us, on how we want to dress, if you are a show off or not. Nevertheless, one lesson we have learn from billionaires is that they don't go for fancy clothing, they just remain humble and they are all philanthropist and just want to give back to the society.

What does dress as rich really means? Wear clothes make from gilded fabrics? Expensive brands?

No one mentioned here, that the person that has dressed in $35-$70 clothes might wear them only for a day, and next day wear completely new set of clothes, while that person in more expensive clothes wear them for years and wash them milliontimes. Nevertheless, clothes isnt wealth index, as well as other luxury stuff, as they can be obtained with help of credit or borrowed.

As I was scrolling through my Facebook I saw this photo and how the image discribes the poor to be a kind of people that wears expensive thing to impress people to look like the rich, and the other way round, the rich appears to be simple probably not to be noticed as a rich person. My question now is that,

Does wearing of expensive cloths, shoes and other expensive things a sign of being poor? Or does it mean the rich doesn't wear expensive things or doesn't leave a luxurious lifestyle?

this is just picture with empty argument honestly, i've seen rich people wearing luxuries and poor people wearing cheap clothes, it's all coming down to individual preference, even if they are poor, but if they have money for the luxuries, it's really none of our business, since it's their money.

moreover, the rich people might just buy some cheap clothes but have few sports car, nobody knows, everyone have their own different hobby, if the rich people's hobby is hoarding some nike sneakers, then they'd hoard them in a heart beat.

in a nutshell rich can't be determined from clothing.

I see no problem spending your money on yourself. And let me tell you something you should understand. The rich spend money on things that the poor cannot afford. They may not buy luxurious clothes or jewelries but they live in a comfortable apartment. It could be a personal house or a rented one but the expenses the apartment is very high. The rich ride luxiours cars, they go to expensive hotel and restaurants, they travel around the world and to mention a few. The poor cannot afford these things, so they try to get what they can afford and it is no business to anyone.

What i find annoying is when the poor are trying to live the same life of the rich of which they know they cant do it for a longtime. In our society, we see people who need help yet they could spend their last card in expensive restaurants. Shop expensive clothes and the next minute they have nothing in their account.

No! I don't think wearing expensive cloths, shoes and other expensive things a sign of being poor. You simply cannot judge a person by his looks. I get it, nowadays everything is fake, it's not as it seems, its the opposite. Sometimes they would show off so much but in reality they won't own a dime, and this is due to the influnce of social media and so on. Everyone's trying to get attention. Rich looks like poor and poor looks like rich but still we can't just judge people based on their looks. To answer your question, appearance doesn't matter. What matters is your lifestyle, like how you spend your wealth or how you are leading your life. We should look at those characters not expensive branded clothes.

Poor people often spend money on luxuries they can't afford, maintain, or take care of, just to show off. They prioritize appearances over practicality. On the other hand, rich people spend more on luxury, but they don't feel the need to show off. Some wealthy individuals can spend millions without flaunting it because they're not trying to prove anything. Even if the poor and rich don't identify themselves, their spending habits and attitudes towards luxury often reveal their economic status. My conclusion is that rich people spend more on luxury, but they don't necessarily feel the need to show off.

This is how life is nowadays, I wouldn’t agree that only the poor spend more money on luxury things to improve the way people see them. Although the average or poor as in the context of this post will always want to look good and try to hide the fact that they don’t have money and so they have to spend their last money on things that will elevate their status in the eyes of people but this mostly depends on the lifestyle of the person because there are rich people who spend money on flashy wears, clothes and cars because they can afford it and those rich people that don’t like spending money on expensive things means that they don’t like such things and that’s just their way of life and that doesn’t mean they don’t have other things they spend their money on.

I don’t think appearance is the measure of wealth but people make assumptions by how they see you. I just think how a person dresses is determined by their lifestyle and personality.

Every person wants to experience the peak of everything in the world. It's normal for people to buy this and that, even if money is a problem for them. Rich people have already achieved those things and can afford various luxuries, which is why they often dress simply. Their lives are at a peak, and they have nothing to prove because their financial status can handle any problem.

You can't blame poorer people for buying unnecessary things because they might need them for their own satisfaction, mental health, or motivation. Sometimes, rich people act rich and use luxurious brands even for everyday activities. It depends on the person, but ultimately, no one is to blame. How a person spends their money is their own responsibility. It’s their fault if they’re not wise with their money and lack the discipline needed to maintain wealth.

You can never personally guarantee who lives a more luxurious life between the rich and the poor. Many rich people have money but live a simple life and many poor people have no money but prefer to live a luxurious life. That is, whether rich or poor, those who have the mindset to live a luxurious life will only live a luxurious life.
Yes, you are right. The difference between the rich and the poor has reversed. You can see again that what was supposed to happen happened instead of the other way around.
I am like many people from high-class families or rich people who live effortless lives. Looking at them, it is not clear that he is rich. They usually like to keep thinking about what will happen next.

Conversely, there are rich individuals who lead ostentatious, high-cost lifestyles. Yet, their subordinates often lead lives that are strikingly normal, just like ours.

What's intriguing is the increasing difficulty in discerning social classes. The rich are blending in, striving for normalcy, while the lower classes are adopting a more refined lifestyle. It's a puzzle to decipher who's moving where and how.

Looking at both personalities in the image provided it clearly shows that the so called poor man isn't so poor after all judging from the total amount of money spent on an outfit, and there are two types of rich people in the world right now. 1; the ones that shows off their wealth in their clothing sense,  investments, properties and lifestyle. 2; the ones that doesn't show off in their clothing sense but lives a luxurious lifestyle.

Now talking about the poor spending the most in luxury it's essential to understand the reason behind it. For some poor/middle class it's about keeping up with appearances and feeling like they belong and for others it could be that they use the luxurious lifestyle as an escape from the emotional toll of poverty as luxury spending most times provides a sense of comfort, status and self worth.

In summary, neither the rich or the poor necessarily spend more on luxury, luxury spending should be considered a complex issue that can't be reduced to simple comparison.

Does wearing of expensive cloths, shoes and other expensive things a sign of being poor? Or does it mean the rich doesn't wear expensive things or doesn't leave a luxurious lifestyle?

This is a social lifestyle in my own opinion. Those that want to look rich are probably not poor people, they could be people that are not too poor to afford the lifestyle of the rich and not too poor to say they can get their ends meet daily. It’s is a stepwise thing and you can’t skip a step so far from yours and expect to live comfortably, it’ll definitely have effect in your living.
What most of you whom reply this post have said is nothing but the true. I agree with you too. I just Think most of his photos are created to hain attention/attraction in the social media. But we all knows the meaning of that image in my own explanation I would classified the image In different meanings

We have two type of poor, 1 is the extravagant poor and the simple or business minded poor .

1) extravagant poor: are poor people that leave an extravagant lifestyle, spending unnecessarily just to feel Among even when he doesn't have it.

2 business minded poor: this set leaves a simple lifestyle and don't leave life to impress people but chose to chase his dream, but that doesn't mean he can to wear expensive things.

It could possibly be that he is poor but trying to feel Among, by spending all his funds that would have been used for investment to buy cloth and look good to impress people. Which is not a good one.

Then for the rich man, there two set of rich men, the simple Richman and the luxurious Richman.

1) simple rich man are those that chose to appear simple, no matter their wealth or their level of exposure. They leave expensive life when they see need for it. Under it we still have a business minded Richman whom think of investment all the time who hardly think of spending on luxury.

2) luxurious Richman are those richmen that love expensive life style and may decide to take it to any level.

All this I have explained now depends on what you

Most times it does not depend on how much someone has, being rich or poor is a total ball game from someone's sense of dressing. Someone who loves to live and exorbitant lifestyle will surely buy expensive clothes and body accessories when they are rich. This is seen in some of the musicians and celebrities how the front jewelries of millions of dollars. In the other hand someone who does not like to show off or where expensive body accessories will also maintain a normal lifestyle no matter how rich they are. This can be seen in the person of Mark Zuckerberg of meta.

So, it all boils down on personality. However when we say the poor, we should mean that someone is finding it difficult to eat a three square meal. Someone who is able to afford all those listed in the picture above cannot be called a poor a person.

Bro, I totally agree with you for once. Human life is spent in two ways. Some may have enough, but indulgence is very common in terms of luxury. Again, you will see that no one has anything, but he lives his life in very high luxury. In fact, it is very difficult to understand people's way of life. We cannot tell or understand what happens when or how his life is spent.

The issue of enjoying luxury is completely dependent on the person's decision to go or not go; no one interferes here. How do you see things, brother? I like things well. Dependent people like to be in charge and act that way.

I think we should stop judging and evaluating others, and look at ourselves.

Is there anyone here who is rich, has millions of dollars in his account but still wears cheap clothes like the guy in the picture? Is there anyone who is rich but still doesn't have a luxury car or a nice house? Conversely, is there anyone here who is poor but still spends thousands of dollars on luxury items? Or are we saving every penny to buy food for our families and prepare for the future? I find it funny how some people look at that picture and are quick to judge others when why don't we look at ourselves and see if we resemble anyone in that picture?

@OP, are you rich pretending to be poor or are you poor but still want to appear rich? Don't judge others when we are not them.
I completely agree with this. Things that we experience ourselves shouldn't be hard to understand, we don't need to pretend because we know how these things are. If we have money, a lot of it, we wouldn't stay away from luxuries because we can easily afford it. Similarly, if we are poor and don't have a lot of money, we would think twice even before buying something that we need but isn't on top of the list of things that we need.

So when it comes to things that are happening to us as well, we should observe ourselves and decide whether what we are hearing or seeing in videos or over the internet is true or not because we should know the actual truth and reality.

I know that people who are rich might not show off a lot, but this doesn't mean they don't spend money on themselves or their lifestyle in general. They wear branded cloths and stuff, they live in luxurious houses, drive expensive cards, eat in expensive restaurants. So it's not true that someone who is rich doesn't spend money on their cloths and stuff.

The common thing is dressing rich, I have not seen that many rich people who wear poor, most of the rich people I see do wear expensive stuff, even at the very cheapest level they would wear at least some lacoste or wolfskin jacket, like the bare minimum cheapest thing they would ever wear, most have designer stuff of course, and to be fair if it's a man, then usually someone else buys them stuff for them, they don't go out shopping that often to be honest if they are wealthy.

But also, I have seen a lot of poor people who buy expensive clothing or luxury items too, too many poor people who get latest iphones or whatever, surely if they are just way too poor then they can't, but I have seen ones that take out loan to get one, so it's really a common thing to want to get the best if possible.

Left man is a poor man's idea of a rich man. And idea behind is probably that if that poor man stays poor, because if he would have used that money to buy stocks, he might be rich. Like the fact that if you bought apple shares instead of all those apple phones and products, you would have done pretty well.

But i would say that actual poor people can't afford those trendy clothes, so image is misleading and smearing poor people. The idea that being poor is always their own fault is lazy reasoning and not helping anyone.
