Don't expect Ripple to be the next Bitcoin, Ripple is a very risky project,
there is a lot of controversy there, about the supply they control, etc., so it's better to think for the medium term,
don't think about being the next bitcoin, XRP doesn't deserve that yet.

Many people think that XRP is the next competitor of BTC but I personally never think of it. If you look at the total supply of two coins, you will get the idea.
am I the only one who has never read people saying Ripple is 'the next Bitcoin'...Ripple does not use Blockchain technology nor is it developed by Banks, so what's so special about Ripple? Bitcoin will never be shifted by any cryptocurrency.

I doubt Ripple will take BTC role. But I have to admit that there seems to be a lot happening with Ripple and payments rumors.
Remains to see where that takes it, I have a stake in it and are hoping for the glory days of ripple to return.

Nothing can replace bitcoin really, but we can say that ripple can replace ethereum if the XRP performances maintain better than ethereum. We can see significant growth of ripple this days and maybe we can see more in few more weeks or months. I myself support XRP so it would be good if ripple goes to moon.
I dont think so that xrp is next bitcoin. We all know that ripple is strong project and team behind this is very hard working but it cant be like bitcoin.
Yes, it is clear that Ripple will not be like Bitcoin because basically they have a different team in this matter and any Altcoin will not be easy to compete with Bitcoin which has already become king in cryptocurrency.
XRP never next Bitcoin. But XRP is one of the best coins. Something good can be expected with XRP. Almost all the coins have gone well with investors but XRP has not pumped much. I think dec 2020 can do a good pump.

Who's talking? the bag holders the Ripple whales, or the development team, trying to hype their coin which is sliding in it's position, I will not be surprised if Ripple is nowhere to be found in the top 5, they are on the number 4 spot and will soon be overtaken by new coin Polkadot or Binance coin, that will end your dream of Ripple becoming the next Bitcoin in the market.
Do check Bitcoin dominance BTC 64.0% how will Ripple going to surpass Bitcoin with that stat.
I have always opposed this shitcoin called Ripple. If you check my previous posts, you can see why I have opposed XRP. And you can check the performance of XRP so far this year. It's exchange rate has plummeted from 3300 Satoshi to around 1600 Satoshi. That means that those who invested in this shitcoin is now sitting on top of more than 50% loss.
I am very surprised by people who often claim that XRP will be able to replace or become the next bitcoin without any logical reason and corroborating facts, we can see how much now the price of XRP is compared to Bitcoin and public trust in XRP is even further away. not as big as people trust bitcoin as their investment asset, and we also often see if there is even the slightest negative trend, of course it will make the price of xrp go down, and it is difficult to experience price increases again, unlike bitcoin. Is it worth saying that XRP is the next bitcoin?Of course not, due to several reasons. Mainly because Ripple was essentially built by a group of banks to facilitate internal transactions betwen them. This litterally means that Ripple xrp is a centralised cryptocurrency especially when to know that nodes running the xrp network are just few nodes controlled by those banks.

only true adepts of XRP can believe that Ripple is the next Bitcoin. one may look at the performance of XRP this year and compare it with Bitcoin. and another fact: big companies buy Bitcoin as a store of value but not XRP.

No doubt ETH is better than Ripple, you can already see the standing now and their disparity, even the times when Ripple was at the top over ETH, people still does not loss their faith of ETH and it has paid off as ETH were able to get back its position which is next to bitcoin.

No that's not going to happen in fact they should be worry because they are losing their position and they are sliding, there are new coins coming up with better concept and features, I will not be surprised if they are overtaken by UNI and Binance, and about your $10 dream, I don't think it will be in your lifetime.

It is very strange to make an analogy between bitcoin and ripple, because they are two completely different coins, and in my opinion ripple will never be able to resist bitcoin, because in my opinion they have not equal forces.
yes i think so because Ripple will only have a title as a good coin but cannot compared as bitcoin. Bitcoin has a huge market cap 50-60% of whole market. In other hand ripple is a crypto which works for banking system.
No one is going to be next bitcoin because its father and founder of this all community and specially in case of Ripple is really not true because there are many things which are not near close to compare these two first of all Bitcoin is completely decetralized and XRP is Centralized and second Ripple is working only for Banking sector and bitcoin is compeletly different things and right now Bitcoin's share in crypto market is more then 60% and its very difficult to reach on this peack for any other coin so its never been good to compare these two for any competition this is not true and never going to happen.
Bitcoin is different platform from the centralize coin ripple set goal for itself for future. moreover, people might be agree that there are no altcoin that could suitable to compare with bitcoin. If you are trying to find out virtual currencies for an investment with good return, then ripple coin might be a bad choice and risky. Because it consistently falling down even its supply and unfair activities indicate & reveal the decreasing demand for it
