So are we still worrying about data leaking from roobets or don't we want to happen again?
Even here I believe roobet is consistent that the data that comes in with their service will be safe according to the procedure.
I am not worried at all about Roobet, that data could get lost here. As you can see from the Ledger example, that can happen to very large companies as well. Neither exchanges nor companies like Facebook or large banks/insurance companies are immune to leaks or hacks.
What do you mean about "data could lost"? Do  you mean that if someone tries, and successfully hacked the system of Roobet, he will/he will be able to drop all of those KYC data that Roobet has? For sure Roobet has some some sort of back up if that happened.

I agree. Almost no system is immune to data leaks or system hacks.
I believe now hackers are more sophisticated and smarter, how they have to infiltrate and and hack data from the main companies, there are many leaks, including large companies, so a system that is immune, of course there must be a gap where it can be damaged by the hacking system, so from the internet there is nothing that is not maybe no matter how thick the security is, it will definitely hit if it happens.
I believe roobet certainly has a special system if they store KYC data from customers and that backup must be there at another time when something is undesirable, such as a hacker who removes all of it.
Even so, there are still some sort of security that can help protect a system. And there are also hackers that do not cause any damage to a system. There could be white-hat hackers that could help a system enhanced it security. Unfortunately, as time passes by, hackers also improves and find ways to break those securities. That is why security maintenance shouldn't be disregarded.

A lot of people are even buying fake identity to get their accounts verified so be careful @roobet because someone can pay a few bucks and get KYC done from them.
This reminds me of Bet365 where account sales are pretty common. However, they can easily bypass this problem by asking them to take a selfie with their ID if they notice anything shady.

Hackers have been able to infiltrate high level security systems over time which is why it definitely won't be impossible to bypass Roobet's security system. Below is one example.

However, I assume that Roobet does not store the data itself but uses a KYC service here. In Europe, companies that store such data must comply with very strict guidelines, which is rather only possible for very large companies with thousands of employees (banks, insurance companies, ...) without too high costs. I guess that similar requirements apply in other countries as well.
In my opinion, roobet will definitely partner with other companies in handling the KYC data that enters there, so it's guaranteed to be safe because what I know is that KYC company services must have followed stricter procedural rules as should be a regulation.

The ongoing discussion about data theft is actually a concern, indeed. I trust roobet because of the kind of promotions they do, the name they have created within such a small time, the kind of support they provide but even all that accounts for nothing because data theft can happen at any time and like mentioned even FB and other platforms were hacked so no one is prone to it.
-snip-
The intentional sale of KYC data is, in my opinion, very rarely the case (apart from the countless ICOs in 2017, of course, that demanded already scanned passports for a handful of coins - and made oodles of money doing so, of course).

Hacks or leaks by company employees are much more of a problem here. A site that collects validated KYC data from its customers is automatically a very lucrative target, and the smallest mistakes can lead to data being siphoned off, as we saw with Ledger last year, for example. However, I assume that Roobet does not store the data itself but uses a KYC service here. Sharing of personal information on the dark web of players is always a concern for many gamblers as they want to remain anonymous in crypto world due to certain restrictions imposed by the government on this industry. And as said by other members KYC can be done with some other account also but it also has certain cons and there is proper thread discussion about such topics on this forum. But in actual if you don't want to reveal your Indentity then there are certain casinos which do not require any KYC so you can simply register there and enjoy gambling experience.

I miss the old days when we would gamble any amount, any time and withdraw it without any concern of KYC being forced because we were into crypto casinos and KYC was not a thing.

A lot of people are even buying fake identity to get their accounts verified so be careful @roobet because someone can pay a few bucks and get KYC done from them.

I love playing at roobet but the day I am asked KYC, I might have to stop playing until I feel comfortable giving out my identity to an online casino. Not just roobet, this stands for almost all the casinos unless I have already verified myself there.

Yes in the start most casino offer promotional fun activities to players to increase their player base and build the trust and bind playes to their casino. But Roobet is somehow constant in some of their competition like guess the bets is being organised from a long time on regular intervals with $50 win and boosted wins upto $350.They are currently running art contest Art contest and it's fine on their side. But they are still organizing many such competition and as said by you they also need to manage funds and earn profits so they lowered the pace.
I hope that they will make a competition that is bigger than their previous ones like a bigger art contest where a real art critic is going to choose who is going to win.
At current they are holding art contest with space theme and prize pool of $5000 so how much more prize winning competition you are looking at?You mean to say that the artwork submitted should be checked by a real known artist or what? You can also try to give one of your submission if you are artist sort of person and win if it got selected as who knows. The prizes for this art competition are very much high compared to their previous 2-3 art contest and it's still good to see they promoting contest at such level and encouraging the players to boost their other skills also. Not many casino are putting such amounts in their promotional events but roobet is surely providing you with best opportunities and you must avail them.

I would even go so far as to say that for many (crypto) online casinos, the forum here is the best way to promote the site. There are simply a lot of people meeting here who are both interested in crypto (and in most cases own some) and like to use online gambling platforms. I think the way the sites are advertised even plays a subordinate role, the target group is definitely hit very well here.
-snip-
So it doesn't matter if their team has bigger bankroll funds then do this and see their other sites succeed by bringing their name on the forum more famous.
I'm not quite sure if I'm understanding this correctly now ... you mean the success of a platform depends on how many promotions and actions they can run here in the forum, among other things, and that high bankrolls are crucial for this?

If so ... I don't see it quite that way. There are enough casinos that constantly organize promos where there are only very small prize amounts (e.g. $100 divided among the first 3 places), yet these sites are very successful. So it is certainly not solely due to marketing whether a platform will be successful or not. Good platforms with very good games, for example, get around relatively quickly. So if you initially reach a certain customer base through, for example, increased advertising volume (as here in the forum) then I think ongoing promos are no longer the success factor of a platform.

I say if a crypto gambling platform comes to this forum with a lot of promotions and campaigns I am sure the site will be successful, look at this forum there are many enthusiasts of online crypto gambling where they continue to give words and impressions that the gambling site can attract users more including roobets that I have noticed since the beginning until now, it never stops with the contest, which means that what I really mean is that the promotion brings success in this forum.
So it doesn't matter if their team has bigger bankroll funds then do this and see their other sites succeed by bringing their name on the forum more famous.

Usually the bigger prizes that their contest have are when there are celebrations, like holidays, anniversary, and even new achievements. IMO the current prizepool is a really good pool.
It is not surprising that during big celebrations or anniversary, the prizepool will be even greater and now the art of contest is an ongoing event before several times in the art of contests, but I think Roobet is happy that many people work about him with the art of the contest.

That's why Roobet is so good regarding on this since they always make their platform fun by doing that marketing strategies which is so successful, I never see any Casino here who does a massive promotion so expect that they can be line at the top of we talk about which is the best at this time.

Also there are contest is again rolling good and for sure the attention of forum users will be on it and this is good for roobet to get traffic's and other more.

I thought if a user reuquest to delete all his KYC infomation to the site they will grant it. Probably they have the valid reason why they should just hold your user KYC information than to delete it. Probably to look something back if something unexpected happened, or probably just to hold it. Dunno.
Are you still not playing on the site?
Oh definitely not. I am not going to play in any place that forces me to give my KYC, I even had a lawyer send a letter to that debit card website as well, I just do not like places keeping my KYC without me giving permission, and when they ask it I just do not give it at all. Don't get me wrong I am not against KYC everywhere, I think in some places it makes perfect sense, for example Binance has my KYC and my local exchange website has my KYC as well, I gave it to them with pleasure and without anything to worry, why? Because, I do not mind everyone in the world to know that I am exchanging crypto and fiat and I do not mind anyone to know about it.

However when a place gets my KYC and I want them to delete it because I am no longer a user and if they decline, that is in my book a lawyer required situation after that, let's see if they can still keep it after my lawyer. Same here, I won't give my KYC because I do not want the world to know I am gambling, simple as that. The second they remove KYC, I will gamble here again.

But according to the EU GDPR rules, it should be deleted and we have the right to request a deletion, once they will refuse, they will I guess have a fine from the said regulatory. So think it over before you will submit your documents upon fulfilling KYC.

The GDPR has nothing to do with AML5 (which is where the KYC requirement for Exchanges comes from, for example). Simply put, if you operate a company that holds money or crypto currencies for other people in any way, you must comply with AML to avoid losing your license or incurring severe penalties:

Quote
The 5th Anti-Money Laundering Directive also extends the scope of money laundering law to include cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ripple. Specifically, operators of platforms through which cryptocurrencies are traded and providers of wallets for cryptocurrencies will be obligated to abide by money laundering laws. They are thus subject to the requirements of money laundering law and in particular the KYC obligations.

Source

However, AML5 also states that KYC data must be stored for 7 years and submitted if required, e.g. if a customer of the exchange/platform is under investigation for suspected money laundering. Thus, you cannot have this data deleted.
