When there is lot of other gambling services with similar kind of games and bonuses providing anonymity, surely users will tend to move. However some gets more attached to the platform for different reasons, particularly some find this platform to be lucky and gives higher winning probability. In such cases, they'll stand on using it whereas the one preferring anonymity will find the alternate.
I don't quite understand the behavior every gambler has towards kyc because when they visit to a real world casino, they are revealing their identity themselves as they cannot gamble without going there. So if an online service asks them for kyc, what is so big an issue here about anonymity? If after completing kyc, they are going to continue to have their favorite games played on the same casino they are used to, then why not go for kyc? I know about data sales, but all gambling sites cannot be the same type.
When I go to a real life casino that means I am doing something knowing that I will be known, but I am not going there which means I am not giving any info. You have to realize there are tons of people who do not give their information to others and just gamble in secret. Hell I remember I gambled on Pokerstars, one of worlds biggest poker websites (probably biggest) and I didn't give any info. How?

There is a transfer of chips type of deal there, so I paid someone bitcoin back in the day when bitcoin was cheaper to send me chips there and in return I just created an account and got those chips there without giving any information, obviously I would be forced if I won big but it was small amount and I just wanted to have fun so I kept gambling until I run out of funds (unfortunately didn't take that long). So long story short not everyone goes somewhere and gives their info.

This has to be understand by some gamblers because Roobet is being regulated by the government and stop comparing this to other site who are also regulated under their Curacao license, Roobet might be on a different situation right now, we all have to follow the law after all and if you feel unsafe with KYC, you still have the choice so don’t panic.
I get it now why they implemented a mandatory level 1 KYC to all Roobet accounts. Does Roobet just became regulated by a government very recently or they have been regulated by a government for a long time? I'm quite curious since they didn't require kyc before.
Like other alternatives increasing rewards for verified accounts and letting the rest do whatever they do will make both parties happy. Since the 1 KYC level is mandatory, it wouldn't be a pleasant experience for high rollers unless they are ready to sacrifice anonymity. For withdrawing the funds, I have to fill the KYC and I will play less on Roobet after these modifications.
This current changes will surely affect user base or number of players in the site who do really mind off with their privacy or anonymity but this sudden change would really generate different impressions
which isn't surprising.

Its up to someone though if they would decide to stay or would choose another gambling site to play. Its just a matter or choice and no one do forces you in.

P.S: Roobet team should give double bonuses or promotions for verified users since it is mandatory to pass KYC 1 for withdrawing funds. More problems will appear on the website if someone fails to comply with the stated rules, IMHO.

You can only count through fingers about the gambling sites that does not implement KYC , most of them are there but just waiting for your their chance to grab implementing .
That's what exactly right and this was what I said before, that time to time using crypto either gambling or exchange will become regulated soon and the word (Anonymous) that have been tied up of crypto since then will slowly vanish soon.

Let's accept that KYC implementations nowadays are common and just prepare yourself to embrace this.

As far as there are casinos that didn't require this KYC implementation yet and there's an option to avoid it. You can choose which better as what you want. But remember that most regulated casinos are the trusted ones.
That's true about the exchanges but it is not true about casinos at all. I mean sure there are places that ask KYC if something is wrong, but that's it, they are not asking KYC from the start like roobet and that is a big difference, you take a risk there if you want to or not. In those places I can put up $50 and if they ask me KYC then I can just ignore the money I have there and move on and nothing else, however if I end up requiring to give my KYC beforehand, then I can't just ignore it I have to either do it or not.

So that is a big difference, the amount of places that ask KYC even before you start versus places that do not ask KYC right at the start, sure there are tons that "may" ask later on, but at the start there are only few places that does this. This is the complaint, ask people KYC if there is anything suspicious but otherwise I would be against it.

go through their TOS and you'll find that KYC was there even before you knew roobet, it's just that was not implemented from the beginning but it was there.
Absolutely wrong. These KYC stipulations are present in the TOS in literally every cryptocurrency gambling site out there, but they only enforce them only when they find something shady related to the gambler or the withdrawal amount is huge.

Let's accept that KYC implementations nowadays are common and just prepare yourself to embrace this.

But remember that most regulated casinos are the trusted ones.
Nonsense. Why should be embrace KYC all of a sudden just because one popular crypto gambling site made it mandatory? Also, most unregulated casinos are the popular ones(Stake, Crypto-Games, PD, FJ, Bitcasino, Sportsbet etc). Get your facts right.

Yups, accepting this now will save us from being target and also will let us help the adoption of crypto worldwide.
Hilarious. You do realise that you are talking about centralizing crypto gambling sites, right?

+1 on that part mate, sooner or later all of aboput crypto will be regulated and none will be using that Anonymity thing so accept it now for your own safety or suffer when you become victim of scams.

It's difficult to accept the KYC implementation for many because they find it difficult to move away from what they were used to, I mean as long as people are committing crime, I think that KYC is a good thing to have. It may sound counterintuitive but @ReiMomo is right, we have to move on and accept that we will come to this point.

Does Roobet just became regulated by a government very recently or they have been regulated by a government for a long time? I'm quite curious since they didn't require kyc before.
I don't think they have been regulated by the government for a long period. This was probably a recent change and they had to comply screwing over a major portion of gamblers who prefer to play anonymously without providing KYC.
Yes it might be recently and they need to comply. Its so sudden and no announcement is made before the changes, the reason why gamblers were asking further questions.

The thought that you cant play anonymously now is one of the cons of complying on their kyc, I still prefer the casino that gives me the right to play anonymously.

I will understand when Roobet ceases promoting itself as the casino that respects the anonymity of its players.

Smart play on words now they changed it to "Incognito" instead of "Anonymously". So now you can hide from other players but not from Roobet itself

They discreetly changed only one word... Nicely played. After all, someone is reading our ramblings here.

They are being a massive a$$hole for not issuing any official statement about this. I guess they think that it is better for new players to be 'pleasantly surprised' after depositing on their platform.

As a business owner then you wont really be having no choice but to deal with it even though this will oppose total anonymity but do we really think that they do love such changes? No its not.
It is just they do need to comply or else you would close your business.
^ That is right, once a gambling casino becomes heavily regulated, there must be a KYC verification, they have to make the process of reputed gambling sites and becomes legitimately operated with heavy regulation that following the government's law in order to follow their jurisdictions.
Nevertheless, the only simple of having KYC is this, (to save you and also themselves), that is how will work the know your customer. then as I said, it is our choice now to choose which gambling sites that suit to us,.
This is an online business, what none of you realize is the simple fact that if you are registered in a place that makes KYC a legal forced thing, then you can move it anywhere you want. There is no problem being in that nation, as long as you register your company in some other nation. So go get a curacao or whatever license, and then keep ruling roobet without KYC requirement and that would be fine, nobody would have to give you KYC and it would go on without a hitch, but if you live in a nation where KYC is forced by you in the law and you apply that to the business because "it is the law" that means you are giving up right away.

Just register it somewhere else, there are plenty of places all around the world where you can register a casino, and then you would not have to be forced to get KYC as well. To say that they have nothing they could do is just naive.

Sad to see these changes since I enjoyed gambling in Roobet now and then. Looks like this crappy KYC change is permanent in this site.
