I guess identity verification is now mandatory to all the Roobet.com users,
If it would be right then it's a bad things for roobet users. But I am not still sure that it actually for the all roobet users. I don't know the actual reason but  I admit that I have two account on roobet means I created first time for testing purposes and later I create new account by matching my forum account username. First time I thought maybe this was for that reason. Smiley LOL

Today few minutes ago I also got a pop up of identity verification like this.

I guess identity verification is now mandatory to all the Roobet.com users, I've the same story happened yesterday to me. I tried to bypass this weird things but failed badly. So, they push me hard to perform identity verification. Later, I got it filling up those random info not a big deal unless real ID verification. Point to be noted: my wager never crossed $100USD

I am seeing people are describing about it already. It's for all the roobet players or some players who possibly did some mistakes or something like that? How you guys are solving this issue?

I also get the same notification, but I have filled in with the pseudonym I entered, which means it's not the real name, but it seems like this is only for a little verification and can still make withdrawals, so far I haven't had the chance to make a withdrawal as long as there is this pop up.

As long as we do not provide the original data, therefore there is an identity that must be hidden in the conversation thread above, there are some who say carelessly, as long as we submit the contents in KYC.

Basically you can type in anything in there but to avoid major problem in the future, putting real identity might be the ideal choice

Putting your real identity on a crypto casino may not be the ideal option for everybody. Remember that once you enter your identity, it will be saved in Roobet's database and linked to all of your previous transactions and wallets. Furthermore, if you have ever participated in any of their promotions or competitions, your Bitcointalk privacy will be compromised as well. It just takes one rogue employee to leak all this information to the dark web and the public in general. We've already seen cases like this, I believe.

If they want to enforce mandatory identification, they should first allow current users to withdraw all funds. I shouldn't be forced to share my identity if I don't want to. Just my two cents...

Same thoughts... but there is no need to put your "real" identity on the lowest level of their KYC. Basically, as what I understood it, you can just put any name that you want to put there.Nicknames, codes, etc. Probably that's what I'll put in there if I will add it to my KYC on Roobet. I do not prefer to give my personal information to any platforms on the internet. I think they wouldn't make it as mandatory, else it is really needed.

if Roobet ask you for the KYC then there's something which seems fishy about your account at their end.

Im not sure if you are being sarcastic or ignorant. You might want to read the previous post before mine

-snip-
Obviously, I waited for the KYC problem to be corrected. But, after seeing the answer given to you, I have completed level1 and there was no problem in withdrawing. After a few seconds, my withdrawal has been sent.

Quoting for references in case someone might ask about this. So its clear that this level 1 KYC is mandatory for everyone but they wont ask for any further verification of your ID. Have you seen the winners of the Raffle? The majority won with 0 tickets. lol
https://roobet.com/50k-roo-bonanza

The tickets numbers are showing on my end, probably there was some sort of visual error when you check. There are alot with less than 300 tickets on average, I got 140 lol too bad Im not one of them

It seems that we only need to fill the identity and no verification is asked for the identity which means we can fill it with whatever identity we want (?). I tried to change my identity after I filled them and I can save the new identity without having to show any ID

I was going to withdraw some funds after the KYC mandatory to check wether it will affect withdrawal or not but jeez the fees are huge. Anyone can testify about withdrawal after the KYC mandatory?

I wouldn't advise you to do that. Should they suddenly enforce additional verification, you risk your account getting locked/ disabled for falsifying info.

So far, no news about that since I think most of us didn't proceed with the KYC.

Roobet has no reason to enforce further verification if I dont do anything suspicious on their platform , I dont even have huge balance in my account $200 tops after I claim my monthly rakeback in few more days iirc. Besides that, they should have disabled us from editing any further after you have submitted your identity

Anyway, according to the live support you only need to complete level 1 to withdraw

I haven't try it yet due to the high fee, will be glad if someone can share after withdrawing with only level 1 KYC
I don't know why you guys are having an issue with account but I have passed the level 1 rank on their site and i was never for once asked to pass KYC nor have withdrawal Issue and footing that, if Roobet ask you for the KYC then there's something which seems fishy about your account at their end.

Just got a KYC pop-up after logging in, what is going on?
You can read all answer before your post. Just complete level 1 and you can withdraw your money.
KYC mostly used for AML, and also to prevent cheater by using multiple accounts on roobet. If you don't like it or don't want give your KYC details to roobet, simply don't playing on there and move to other site

If the filling KYC sheet is mandatory, there is no reason to prefer crypto casinos for gamble anonymously. Another point is if the regulator doesn't ask for mass KYC for not terminating casino license, it is meaningless to share personal information with the crypto casinos. Hope Roobet forum representative will clear all raised questions asap. Just my 2 cents...

P.S: After asking from the Reddit community, it looks like we are supposed to fill in the all necessary info to withdraw the funds. Otherwise, the problem will be bigger on the next levels, even accounts can be blocked in case of refusing to pass KYC on account with big amounts.

This is really upsetting. Main reason I chose the crypto casinos was for the anonymity. I really don't want to leave my personal information on every single website I use. Every now and then, private data is leaked to the public (remember the Ledger fiasco last year).

KYC and AML policy is one thing, but this is a completely different ball of wax.
I am stunned by this sudden update too and the fact that this isn't an error and is legit is sad in my opinion since I always considered Roobet as one of the best crypto casinos out there primarily due to the anonymity factor.

Some people mentioned that level-1 is good enough for withdrawals, but I won't be completing that either since I absolutely hate providing any sort of KYC details to a cryptocurrency based site unless I feel it's absolutely necessary.

I hope Roobet scrapes this completely or provides a non-KYC alternative to continue playing on their site soon.

I don't know if there is any other gambling platform that gives as many promotional offers and airdrop as Roobet. There are so many multiple accounts here because of easy Airdrop Money and lots of promotional offers. I think it is urgent to verify KYC now, for the account holder who is behaving suspiciously, although most of the gamblers do not like KYC, they want to play anonymously. We will have to wait for the official update in this regard.

There is a new raffle event - Roo's $50,000 Bonanza (50 winners) along with newly launched slots  "Roo Bonanza", it's an exclusive collaboration slots of roobet and pragmatic play.

Winners will be drawn in a day, so how many tickets you get so far?
Unfortunately, I am not taking a part in the event because I need to spend my funds on other things  Smiley

I have done the same thing as you and tried to change the phone number as well, as you mentioned there is no further verification regarding those changes even something like a verification code to my phone.

Anyway tried to get in touch with live support a while ago to ask about this sudden completion of the first level of verification, and here's the answer

I really hope so. It's possible that it's related to the latest promotions. Perhaps they have too many fake accounts or something. Anyway, I'll wait a few days for the official announcement. Fortunately, I don't have a lot of money in my account right now.  Wink

Although I only hope this is only for big withdrawals in mandatory KYC, if small players have to implement the KYC system then it will be more difficult and I may not play here often.
But I am sure Roobet must have another solution where for the convenience of its users, otherwise there has been no official announcement whether this is a bug or not so it is unclear.

Any one of you guys noticed that KYC is now mandatory? The identity confirmation suddenly popped up today after I refreshed the page.

No official announcement from Roobet it seems.

It seems so, I get the same pop up.

Same here, I got a KYC pop-up. I haven't seen any new notice from Roo.
I don't know if it's a bug or it will now be mandatory for everyone.

I just hope that this isn't mandatory. If so, why would Roobet just impement it out of nowhere? Without any announcements or "teaser" that in the next days or weeks, they would implement such KYC for all of the Roobet players. Let us wait for their official announcement regarding this topic.

I'm using VPN when it comes to gambling including when I play at roobet.
I believe there are also many other users in this forum who are using VPN while playing at roobet.
So far there is no one reported an issue for using VPN so I think it is not a problem at all.
I wouldn't do that. If you haven't completed the KYC procedure, you are in breach of Roobet's Terms and Conditions.
You should get in touch with support before this becomes a problem.

Quote
You warrant not to use any form of VPN or other methods or program fit to hide your IP or your state of origin unless you went through full ID and address verification as described in our KYC-AML-Policy under AML 1 Verification.

He might be always using VPN as his country doesn't support any gambling site aka banned all gambling sites. I know tgere are some countries prohibit their people to gamble, but those countries aren't banned/restricted by roobet, is there any mirror link for those people to paly on roobet? So they don't need to use VPN anymore to play on roobet
I am on the same boat, my nation doesn't allow gambling so I am using Opera which has a built in VPN that allows me to gamble anywhere I want without a problem. It is a problem when I faced with KYC problems, but fortunately I am smart enough to never have too much money in any casino, so if I ever face a problem I just stop and move to another casino. Roobet on the other hand never asked me for KYC and I have been gambling here all the time.

I know it is common that they ask KYC and everyone talks about that, but for some reason I never got that, I don't know if I am just lucky, or if it is about some certain people, but for some reason I never got it, and I will probably keep gambling until I get it. I am sure eventually I will get it, I do not even clear cookies now so that I do not get it, but I think I may have to leave when KYC is asked from me since I wouldn't be capable of providing it.
