Yes, the Storm clouds are definitely forming for some of the sides in the 2021 NRL Round 16 this week kicking off in a little over five hours time.

My calls for this week follow the same top eight over bottom eight - Storm, Dragons, Panthers (should be a great game with the Eels putting in a solid effort),  Raiders, Cowboys, Sharks.

The Sea Eagles and Rabbitohs are just about paying even money.

I got in aarly with a 6.98 on Qld in the third game of the State of Origin - the pirce has dropped to 4.96 for Qld.

Rugby Union returns to the Nitrogen Sports EU ranks this week with picks on the Six Nations Under twenties.  I'm biased and have picked England, Scotland and Wales to ward off all others.  Grin

I've been able to claw some losses back with some Tennis wins so I'm betting one NRL game at a time, hopefully there's a Storm brewing!

In Tennis all of my pics have come true.  All the Anastasia's (various spellings) Cori Gauff,  Jennifer Brady, the Pliskova's, Petra Kvitova,  Elena Rybakina,  Aryna Sabalenka,  Sloane Stephens - anyone against the Williams sisters - and Ash Barty from here in South East Queensland.   Grin   Cool   Tongue

Pavlyuchenkova/Rybakina in the doubles too.

Other fixtures:

A one off Tim Tszyu in the Boxing (like Father, like son hopefully)

Any games with Boston Red Sox or San Francisco Giants (after a tip off from a semi pro baseball player at work)...

...then there's the UK Soccer teams.

And I checked last night and the Rugby Union was listed, Strange.

Anyway Round 16 in the NRL coming up and starting tomorrow.

Im almost liquidated at this stage due to some terrible against the odds losses
in the EURO21 tournament. I've been able to claw some losses back with some
Tennis wins so I'm betting one NRL game at a time, hopefully there's a Storm brewing!

And the State of Origin series did come down to just 2 games with New South Wales
taking the title. Queensland didnt perform at all. I find it amazing that  one team can dominate
so much, it wasnt even close in either match.

It was the first time in Origin's nearly 35 year history that one team has been scoreless for an entire game. NSW 26 - 0 to Queensland.

I've neglected to mention the Women's Single Origin match was won by Queensland in inclement weather 8 - 6 with a two point penalty minutes from full time edging the Qld Women out from their New South Welsh counterparts.

nitrogensports.eu has the Japanese Union fixtures.  (I won with a bet on Toulouse the other day too).

*edit* I just had a look and their Rugby is not their either.

In the test match between the Lions and Japan on Saturday there were ups and downs.
We lost our captain Alun Wyn Jones who is ruled out of the tour from the shoulder injury. Its
a big loss, he is such a talisman who carries a vast amount of experience. On the upside
The Lions won 28-10.

I wanted to put a bet on on Saturday but The Sportsbet rugby union section of the app wasnt visible?

Oh yes, nothing like a series coming down to the final game, worse still it all ending in 2 games.
Best of luck!

Next up in the Rugby Union is "The Lions Tour". The British and Irish Lions travel to
South Africa for a series of games commencing on the 3rd of July.
https://www.lionstour.com/2021/match-dates/

This weekend sees a warm up match with Japan on Saturday the 26th.
I'm happy to see there are 4 Irish players starting the match.

@Timelord2067 Are you winning with the Origin series?

Sadly no, I'm in Queensland and we're down 1 - 0 to the NSW Blues.  This weekend is Game 2 and it's "Do or die" for the Maroons with a win needed to stay in the series.  Qld won last year in the "Unwinable" series (given the Broncos were the "Woodenspooners" and fill half of the Qld team).  I think this year is a little different in that the scores for matches have been <20 - >40 across the board.

If Qld win, it'll be close.

Pro14 Rainbow Cup Final,

nope didnt bother putting a bet on Benetton, nobody gave them
a chance, betting on the Bulls was suspended. I'm sure there were a few who made $'s.

Tough one coming up for The Panthers though! They play The Eels and are favourites for that.

Round 15 of the 2021 Season of the NRL ended with the Manly Sea Eagles totally obliterating the Gold Coast Titans 56 - 24 !!  The Sea Eagles trailed the Titans 8 - 24 at half time and then poured on 48 unanswered points with some 20 of those points in the last twenty minutes.  I caught the last twenty minutes on the radio while out for a day trip and the two ABC commentators were both critical of the Titans and the Sea Eagles (the former for having been leading at half time) and the Sea Eagles apparently slowing down play once in a winning position.

Round 16 does not start for another week as the 2nd game of the State of Origin Series is played this Sunday evening (changing the format from earlier years of Wednesday evenings spaced three weeks apart between the first, second and third games)... It's "do or die" for Queensland this Sunday.

The one off Women's State of Origin is played this Friday evening, both teams need to put in a solid performance:

I'm going to pick the Broncos, Sharks, Panthers, NZ Warriors, Raiders, Storm, Eels & Sea Eagles.  (the storm and Eels as a two bet parlay paying just $1.10 combined)

Yup Broncos at the bottom of the table, its not going to happen for them.

My 3 picks won hanssomely this weekend and The Panthers are back to
winning ways hopefully.

It looks like a fluke win that saw The Panthers loose last week, no dobut they are back to winning form.

PRO14 Rainbow Cup Final...

Sounds like some good games were played (hopefully you profited from their WIN$$$)

PRO14 Rainbow Cup Final

There was a reason The Bulls of South Africa were heavy Favourites to beat
Benetton, They won all their games in the outhern conference of the tournament
and in the PRO14 tournament earlier this year Benetton failed to win ny games,
So the difference in class was very clear which is why Sportsbet were not
taking bets on The Bulls.

But... Benetton 35 - 8 Bulls

Benetton capped a remarkable Guinness Pro14 Rainbow Cup campaign by upsetting
the odds to thump the Bulls in the final.

Having failed to win a single match during the regular Pro14 season, the Italian club
end 2020-21 as Rainbow Cup champions after stunning the winners of the South African
section of the tournament in front of 1,250 fans in Treviso.

I wouldn't advise anyone to place another bet on the Brisbane Broncos for the reset of this season - they seem doggedly determined to be the "Wooden Spooners" for a second year running.  (Serves them right too).  My website of choice isn't loading properly, otherwise I'd jump on and place a bet on the Pro14 Rainbow Cup final.

The Broncos are not finding that second gear like you mentioned Timelord. There seems to
be a really wide gap between the top and bottom teams, lots of big scoring difference games.

The Pro14 Rainbow Cup final is on tomorrow, I cannot place a bet on the clear favourites,
The Vodacom Bulls, obviously sportsbet are not giving Benetton a chance at all!

I have 3 bets on for this weeks round of the NRL, Rabbitohs, Eels and Storm.

Obviously The Rabbitohs have whitewashed The Broncos earlier today.

I would like to put on The Panthers but their recent run isnt great so its too risky for my liking.

Well... Early in the season I had a feeling the Broncos might pull one of their mid season stunts and suddenly spring back to life.  Clearly, that hasn't happened, so I probably won't put another bet on the Broncos for the rest of the season.  What I find amazing about this season is how the loosing side in a 40+ win to their opposition just doesn't do *anything* to defend their territory, or go on the offensive.

Rugby League

I've only just recalled I needed to place bets this week 15 of the NRL 2021 season.

Last week has some last minute one point wins and some poundings too:

This week's line ups are as follows:

I'm going to pick the Broncos, Sharks, Panthers, NZ Warriors, Raiders, Storm, Eels & Sea Eagles.  (the storm and Eels as a two bet parlay paying just $1.10 combined)

Rugby Union:

New Zealand.

I'm going for the Highlanders in the Trans Tasman Cup

France.

La Rochelle and Toulouse to win in the French Tournaments.

Well not much toast going on this morning unfortunately.
I wont be betting on any Origin games but best of luck Timelord!

I wanted to put a bet on the Vodacom Bulls to beat Benetton in the
Pro14 Rainbow Cup Final but betting is closed for the Bulls.

Yes thats happy days!

I love toast so I have a wager on The Dragons.

I rarely go all in on wagers with my pot, I always leave a bit so I can pull the trigger on a quick bet....like the Dragons.

In what would have to be an upset win, the Bulldogs managed to slay the Dragons 28 -6

Coming up on Fridays next week is the Women's NRL State of Origin being played on the Sunshine Coast, two hours hours drive north of Brisbane.

I'll be placing wagers on the Queensland Team to win (can't do any worse than their male counterparts disastrous match two weeks ago)

It's been text book wins this year for the top about six teams.  I wasn't able to place bets over the last couple of days due to wagers reaching their limits (hopefully they are meaning the gambling site themselves, not I)... I've got that many wagers ahead now I've got to let a few clear out.

You''ll be pleased to know the Storm and the Eels got the job done this afternoon with just the Dragons to toast the Bulldogs tomorrow for this round.

Yup 1 point field goal.
I suppose after the 48-0 loss to The Panthers in may The Sharks didnt want a repeat
and had an 18-0 lead.

Storm take the win against The Warriors bringing my wins to 2 from 3 with Eels to play later.

In the Pro 14 Rainbow Cup final round I had Munster to win which they did 54-14 against
Zebre of Italy.

The final between the winners of the northern table (Benetton of Italy) and the southern
table (Vodacom Bulls, South Africa) will take place on the 19th of June in Italy.

and yes The Panthers falter again by 1 point, strange - the losses (2) are all
happening recently now after 9 rounds.

This season has witnessed the reemergence of the one point field goal (and the introduction of the two point field goal).

As half time approaches, the score in the Storm Vs Warriors is 14 - 2
