...

It's been text book wins this year for the top about six teams.  I wasn't able to place bets over the last couple of days due to wagers reaching their limits (hopefully they are meaning the gambling site themselves, not I)... I've got that many wagers ahead now I've got to let a few clear out.

You''ll be pleased to know the Storm and the Eels got the job done this afternoon with just the Dragons to toast the Bulldogs tomorrow for this round.

Yup 1 point field goal.
I suppose after the 48-0 loss to The Panthers in may The Sharks didnt want a repeat
and had an 18-0 lead.

Storm take the win against The Warriors bringing my wins to 2 from 3 with Eels to play later.

In the Pro 14 Rainbow Cup final round I had Munster to win which they did 54-14 against
Zebre of Italy.

The final between the winners of the northern table (Benetton of Italy) and the southern
table (Vodacom Bulls, South Africa) will take place on the 19th of June in Italy.

and yes The Panthers falter again by 1 point, strange - the losses (2) are all
happening recently now after 9 rounds.

This season has witnessed the reemergence of the one point field goal (and the introduction of the two point field goal).

As half time approaches, the score in the Storm Vs Warriors is 14 - 2

We would imagine that in todays world sport should be "inclusive" from what
you say I gather mens NRL isnt?

I like to watch womens rugby from time to time, they can be just as talented as the men
but dont get the recognition and viewership they deserve.

Yes big enough divide in scores, like a lot of the games so far in the NRL.

For this round of the NRL I have 4 picks, ones I have played so far so I'm
sticking with the Rabbitohs, Eels, Panthers and Storm. I need to claw back
some losses but I'm sticking with my conservative picks.

The Panthers though are close odds to The Sharks, 2.54 v 1.52, last week the
panthers were close odds and lost.

I got a fairly posative responce from Nitrogen Sports concerning addding the Women's League games (especially the State of Origin) to their roster of games - the teams are from completely different areas (including indigenous and ADF teams) - the men's teams' composition could do well to take a leaf out of the Women's League.

Will Nitrogen Sports be enabling bets on the Women's Rugby League State of Origin match to be held on the 25th of June?

More information on the Women's games can always be found on the NRL website:

The score itself doesn't begin to describe just how badly Queensland played in the first of three matches in the State of Origin for 2021.

As happens New South Wales has a quick try and then the Maroons just fall apart.  Tonight was a record loss for Qld who have it all ahead of them.

After the start of the second half I was on the nitrogensports.eu website and the odds for Qld to win opened out to 12:1 so I put a small wager on hoping for a turn around, but it wasn't to happen.

I had 0.4mbtc on The Panthers to win but a smaller 0.2mbtc on Connaught so im down
between those 2 games.

I played conservatively with Connaught, they were mid table and I dont believe they can
reach the final. Also we thought that one of our key players Bundee Aki who has
a spot on the British and Irish Lions tour this year would be "minding" himself in
these matches but of course he didnt hold back and scored a try in the first half.

Connaught are in 4th position with 14 points with the Glasgow Warriors leading on 19
and there is only 1 round left before the final and a lot of the teams have yet to play over the weekend.
Benetton who are unbeaten are the ones to watch.

In the Rainbow Cup Connacht did the business against The Ospreys 26-19. So 1 win
and 1 loss but overall down.

Congratulations on the Win!  I hope you got a nice payout from the game.

The Panthers were thrashed 26 -6 by the Wests' Tigers ending their 12 game winning streak on game 13 of the 2021 series.

Wests' Tigers climbs up the ladder to tenth overall up from thirteenth place.  I'd listened to a game (around week five) on the radio - at the end of which the commentators felt that Wests were coming together as a team and if they were to play as consistently in later games as they'd done that week they would definitely be in the finals.

The Panthers fumbled in their game play this week and the better team won.

This is definitely an unusual season so far.

We can definitely say that for sure, The Wests Tigers beat The Panthers 26-6, not even close.
There was definitely something going on, the odds were very close before the match.
Cant believe that result.

The Dragons ended up being 52 - 24 at full time.  This is definitely an unusual season so far.

I
ll put a wager on the Connaught to win.  Like I was saying earlier in the thread, I don't really see any overseas games (certinally not any Union matches) but it's always nice to get a tip-off for a team that you have hopes for.

Feck, I dont have any picks this week on the NRL or any Rugby for that matter!

Love your "If the Dragons dont show up...." comment, it will be very interesting to
see if the Broncos get into another gear after the Origin series as you say.

I'm off now to do a few pics

EDIT >>>>>>>>>

Right I have 3 picks done for the NRL, obvious ones of course, Eels, Storm and Panthers.
Interestingly I have a great price on The Panthers 1.47!

And in the Pro14 Rainbow Cup [Union] I have my home team Connaught to beat The Ospreys.

Half time in the Dragons Vs Broncos game and the score is 40 - 18!

If the Dragons don't show up for the second half, then the Broncos will still loose.

For the shortened Round 13 I've picked the following:

Dragons, Panthers, Storm and the Eels.  (although I've got a funny feeling I inadvertently placed a bet on the Knights by mistake) *edit* Nope - Just the Eels to win...

Week 14 I'm forecasting the following wins:

Sea Eagles, Panthers, Roosters, Rabbitohs, Broncos (in an upset win) Storm, Eels and the Dragons.

Rugby Union.

I'm calling the Reds over the Blues.  The Crusaders and the Hurricanes will trounce their opponents the Western Farce and the Waratahs.

With six minutes to go it's still the Dragons over the Broncos:  46 - 24

I just read up on this State of Origin best of 3 tournament, it does suggest the Queensland
team have an edge. In a best of 3 series where would the 3 games normally be played?
1 home, 1 away and 1 neutral?

Yes, im interested to see if the Broncos wake up as per your earlier post in this thread!

I've found the Broncos "wake up" after the State of Origin when most of the Broncos are on the Qld team for the three games.  Yes, traditionally in the 30+ years the SOO has been played, there is one Sydne game, one Brisbane game and then a second game in either state.  Then, about ten years ago Melbourne was added to the roster (not actually a part of the competition).

Prior to the SOO format there was a one-off Qld Vs NSW game which NSW had one for 40+ years because although the players had started their careers in Qld, they were tempted south to the big smoke and the dollars their clubs paid.

The NRL USED TO stand for New South Wales Rugby league, but when the Broncos were formed (out of the old Brisbane Wests' Tigers) they joined the NRL and it changed it's name to the "National Rugby League".

The NRL are proposing a change to the formulae of teams next year to have all NSW teams play ONLY NSW teams exclusively while all other teams are in a parallel competition and the winner of the NSW series plays the winner of the "everyone else" competition.

Essentially a "State of Origin" for NSW to play the "best of the rest".

Madness.

It was announced yesterday that Game one of the 2021 Rugby League State of Origin will be shifted from locked-down Melbourne (who one have one team in the NRL competition) to Far North Queensland garrison city of Townsville.  This means two of the three games will be played in Queensland (the other being in Brisbane at Lang Park) giving the Queensland Team an "edge" in the series.  I've seen the media say this in the past and Qld have then tanked.  I'm biased for Qld to win and I feel there are *some* good players in the team.

It'll be interesting to see if the Broncos suddenly come to life after the SOO series is over (especially if the Qld team wins).

Healthy returns this round in the NRL, I'm 2 from 3 so far, Sea Eagles playing tomorrow
will hopefully make it 3 from 3.

Munster did the business in the PRO14 Rainbow Cup in what looked like a close affair.

La Rochelle did the business also.

So overall in Rugby I am 4 from 5

I'm having a better time of it this round compared to this time last week:

Five from six wins this round so far (the one point field goal to win the match has become more popular this season as evidenced by the Cowboys win).  I figured the Rabbitohs would win on the back of the Eels loss last week and the Rabbitohs up.down/up again wins/losses.

As predicted earlier, I expect the Titans slump to continue along with the Knights in mixed form.

Rugby Union:

I'm picking La Rochelle, Brive, Bayonne, Toulouse and in NZ the Rebels.

As predicted, both the Reds (Qld) and Blues (NSW) won their respective matches.

I cannot see a referral link or affiliate link so work away Timelord2067.
I'll ask the question over on the sportsbet thread.

Ok so Munster are the the beaten finalists of the Pro14 competition this year
and La Rochelle are the beaten finalists of the Heineken Champions Cup,
Quality sides up against inferior competition [no offense to them]

UNION

PRO14 Rainbow Cup

Next round starting this weekend, I have a bet on with Munster to beat The Cardiff Blues.

French Top 14

I have a bet on with La Rochelle to beat Pau

With any luck I'll be able to place some bets on those two teams when I get home later on tonight.  I don't know the teams and don't get to see any of these international competitions, so it's a novel bet for me (hopefully they win and we in turn win)   Grin   Cool   Cheesy
