The law on crypto currency has long been needed. If this is true then this is good news. Already many people want to switch to calculations by bitcoins, this is our future, because this will greatly facilitate our life.

Yeah, right now they'll let you, they'll forbid it in a month) In Russia, it's pointless to plan anything) We need to do crypto quietly and in secret from everyone

Great! Hope all cities will accept crypto currencies soon. Crypto would be world wide in coming days like PayPal, Visa in few years ago.
Many people purchase goods/tickets and transfer or send money in crypto now and hope will be much broader than PayPal as it is easy and convenient to all people.

Russia is like crypto heaven right now and even the new ventures are booming in Russia. I hope the government will think about using crypto in return of services, if that happens then we may see some new high rates for bitcoin. Smiley Smiley Smiley

Russia's acceptance of encryption is clearly good news. But I don't think it has much impact on growth. Because there are very few bitcoin users in Russia. Currently, bitcoin users are mainly South Korea, Japan, China and the United States.

Putin’s Law

Vladimir Putin is very much a law and order kinda guy. If you watch Putin operate in the public arena he always does so with an eye towards the law.  He believes strongly in the law.  And cryptocurrencies, despite their obvious benefits to a Russian economy that needs the type of disintermediation cryptos offer, operate in a legal gray area that makes Putin uncomfortable.

So, the goal with Russian official crypto-policy is to stamp out the illegal activities – the money laundering, terrorism-financing, human-trafficking, etc. – while simultaneously using the technology to modernize Russia’s internal capital handling capabilities.

This is what the crypto-ruble is all about.  It is a way for Russia and Russians to provide a gateway between the crypto-world and the so-called real one.  It ensures that this new form of ruble properly tracks capital flow through the Russian economy.

By taxing crypto-rubles at the capital gains rate for those that cannot provide a paper-trail of ownership, Russia and Putin are incentivizing the development of low-cost crypto-payment systems to exchange rubles for goods only in cryptocurrencies that also track ownership, like Ethereum and others that have transparent blockchain histories

Yes, I would argue if the market will again rise in price after this news was announced.
I hope there will be more countries that follow the footsteps of Russia to legalize Cryptocurrency.
If many countries are receiving Cryptocurrency I'm sure Cryptocurrency will not die. Cryptocurrency will grow into something of great value and become the target of many people. It's so exciting I can not wait to watch Cryptocurrency grow every day.

Russian government tries to control Internet, and the recent banning of Telegram is very representative.
That's why I think cryptoheaven is about to end someday. Cryptos are too uncontolled and decentralized. Russia will probably create their own limited and closed blockchain eco-system/s for different purposes
In case they will do their own blockchain - nobody will use it as there is no trust to the Russian government. Their attempts to regulate everything and everyone just fail every time and it looks like they didn't learn from mistakes.
Agree with you guys, the recent story with telegram affected blockchain society for sure. So these days Belarus looks far more attractive for miners and ICO projects. The russian government just tries to increase control.

I live in Russia and I will tell you that it is not so. Russia wants to legalize crypto not to download the market. And in order to tax miners and all the rest

It is great that one of the successful investors in our whole world considers cryptocurrency.
Through this scene many people will invest in cryptocurrency and there will be a huge demands and blessing in this group of community.

Good for Russia. Finally, this country understood that the cryptocurrency has many profits that will make their economy better. I am sure, they will be using blockchain technologies and of course, mining.

this is a nice move by the russian, now i am starting to love them a lot. Kidding aside but for me russia is one of the largets market of crypto to comeback, given the size of the country itself. Now as we all know this is also a country with a super power level, it means when it comes to resources this one owns a lot. If they decided to use the blockchain system it will be very large addition to the market caps of many coins which is a very big help for the industry.

Well, anything can happen. At the moment, Russia is very seriously interested in the topic of cryptocurrencies and blockchain in general. The government wants to use it to its own advantage.

Did they eventually legalize crypto in Russia? I also heard about the rumours at the time. It will be great to see big nations beginning to adopt and legalize crypto. I strongly feel it is only a matter of time before it is going to be globally accepted

I am sure that they will begin to tightly regulate, and all traders must obtain a license to invest in ICO projects. Nothing good will end there. Personally, my opinion.

It was a good sign then because most of the people today are hoping for the price of bitcoins to increase even more and if bitcoins will be legalize to russia then there will be even more demand.

I heard that Russia is going to test cryptocurrency technologies in Crimea. The special status of the jurisdiction of the Crimea gives the opportunity to experiment with economic initiatives before the implementation of large-scale projects at the Federal level.
