blockchain.info is indeed a safe option but if you're going to save so damn many amount of bitcoin, dealing with blockchain.info is such a bad thing, better run a desktop wallet or even hardware wallet, just keep in mind if you're seeking for security, online wallet is not that good

Yeah, well when compared to desktop wallet, wallet online is less safe. I personally use electrum in my pc. But even using the desktop wallet we also have to beware of malware that can get into your PC. Because I have experienced it related to coin stealer malware. Thanks

Personally, I use blockchain.info. I think it is easy and simple to use, however, many of them are reliable. I like blockchain because it has a mobile app.
i use the very same wallet, in my opinion it is the best one for the newbies and for experienced users because it is really easy to use for the small amounts

If you are in the philippines i would suggest that you use coins.ph but if you are in the foreign country i suggest that you use xapo wallet or coinbase but it's up to you .. Do some research first before making a move follow your heart instead

Well try some of the best wallets online and try to look what best suites yourself. Because some other wallets offer different uses. Some wallets offer Dollar to BTC transaction with different prices, some other wallets also supports BTC to ETH and vice versa.

I think you are right and on point...noted.
that's not online wallet, that's an exchanger, online wallet only to keep your bitcoin ,not to exchange it to anything else, for example of online wallet : blockchain.info and example for an exchanger : coinbase, liqui, and,Poloniex

Blockchain.info also good for storing bitcoin. I also use it to keep my bitcoin but only for a while and after that I use local bitcoin wallet which I think is safer. Wallet will be kept safe as long as we can keep existing account information.

For me it only depends on the online wallet in different country, but me i am using 2 bitcoin wallet which have good services offered to the users. and i think blockchain.info is much safes wallet for the newbie but in reality there is no online wallet is safe.

I think most wallet services are provided in different countries so if X secure wallet in V state then it is safe also in W state . And blockchain.info in my opinion is a secure wallet for anyone including newbie or expert. if you think there is no online wallet safe, why do they services still exist? Because to me more inclined to the users themselves. And it's safe or not depends on the individual who uses. IMO

Yep blockchain is most trusted for many users here, and people here use it but theres a fee for every transaction using that wallet , I used it too to but most of the time I use online local wallet  for many reasons no fee for every transaction you made and easy to convert to fiat, I use blockchain for just save my funds that I didn't use.

Copied, You've mentioned  online local wallet and no fee for every transaction.?how is that? meaning if I'm gonna use a local wallet online I need to convert it to fiat, right? What is fiat? is that a kind of digital currency also? please excuse me about this thing because I'm totally innocent in this industry. Thanks in advance! Smiley

I think he meant by local wallet is a wallet exchangers are available in his country. And like in my country Indonesia, for trading with fiat we were not charged a transaction fee if acting as a price maker. And with that I can directly send the fiat to a bank account that I have. thanks

Adding little details in regard of kidoseagle's question, fiat is physical money issued by your government. Like USD, EUR, AUD. You'll hear that term a lot if you're on trading section.

I think the best wallet still held by blockchain.info. view website is user friendly and also has many features have advantages over others. besides blockchain also had a wallet android. making it easy for the Sycnhrone with all devices.

I agree with you. blockhain has advantages compared with other wallet. ease of use into the pickup for a newbie to use it. I have been using blockchain for 3 years. and I felt very comfortable and safe storing bitcoin here.

I am reading the forum daily and am registered here a few days ago.
What do you people suggest for a safe wallet for a newbie, I am not that tech guy , just the average joe with computers.
I have read that Blockchain.info is one of the best wallets, but I have also read that there are a lot of other wallets that they call local wallets like Bitcoin core Multibit Electrum and Armory also phone wallets. Which is one you can sleep safe at night ?

xapo and coinbase is best choice for you, because xapo and coinbase will protect your account from hacker, of course 2fa must be activated, other full access wallet like mycellium, blockchain is not suitable for people who know more detail about bitcoin.

Here in my country there is a local wallet address that many bitcoin users are using but I'm not using it because I find it hard to use. So, I would like to suggest that use of blockchain. I am into using it the new version and I find it is somehow hard to use too but for sure in the end I'm going to be used with it.

10 Best Bitcoin Wallets For Secure Bitcoin Storage

http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/bitcoin-wallets/

So these are the wallets where I can put my bitcoins. Meaning those bitcoin wallets has a good background history? Isn't right? Well then I might gonna choose the blockchain wallet because this is most often I heard has a good track record when it comes to bitcoin security though I'm not saying that the others are not good.
