I do agree with it. I think that it's not even considering the difficulty of any league. I meant that comparison was just meaningless here. The comparison only considered SPL from the Asian continent, despite the fact that the majority of it actually comes from the European continent.
I can't even put SPL to have the same difficulty as premier league. It's amazing ronaldo to scores a lot in the saudi pro league but let's back to the when ronaldo was playing for manchester united in the premier league.
He created 18 goals from 30 matches on MU in 21 - 22, 1 goal from 10 matches in 22-23. The author failed to take into account the challenges of any league and instead, solely focused on the number of goals scored by players in their respective competitions.
It makes that comparison being so meaningless. It's not a fair comparison.
Yes and this "mistake" has been made in other contexts as well. I understand the statistic and it would be sort of unfair if you put together a global statistic about the best goalscorers and then leave some leagues out because someone says they are not good enough. A global statistic is what it is and it should include every league and every player. But those who are using that statistic, I expect them to be more reasonable about it and put the achievements into perspective. Saying that Ronaldo is the no. 1 scorer in the world because he scored more goals in the SPL than Haaland in the EPL is really getting ridiculous. There is no point in mentioning and presenting it that way.
