I was really surprised that there was another player from Chelsea who was the target of a Saudi league club and now it is goalkeeper Eduardo Mendy's turn to join Al-Hilal. I didn't think that the dynasty owned by Chelsea was now collapsing to optimize its finances again after spending so much money last season. But it's also a good offer to play in the Saudi league because it has such a fantastic salary per season. I think now the favorite destination for European players is to join the Saudi league after winning any title in Europe.
Since chelsea faces a problem in getting an offer from european clubs and chelsea used arabian clubs as alternative ways to sell the players. The arabian clubs are also paying the price what chelsea wanted.
Chelsea will use the money raised from selling its players to balancing its financial and avoid FFP. I remember that chelsea being threatened by EPL regarding FFP.
That's why chelsea is interesting to kick so many players to leave from the club. So far two deals already made with arabian clubs which are very good for chelsea.

They are smartly using their money by signing with those players and make matches between those clubs more exciting. I believe if possible, each club will try to sign with a big star player rather than signing with some star players for a single club. It will make the league more exciting and attract more television, communication companies in Europe to broadcast the Saudi Professional League matches.
Saudi Arabia has a lot money and they just don't know where they need to use all of their money. Obviously signing many star players will influence their traffic, but it wouldn't be last long. The bad thing of signing star players is, young football player in Saudi Arabia will not able to compete against them because if there's a star player and a good Saudi Arabian player, they will choose to let the star player play than their local player.

These new star players will bring a lot of experience to the Saudi League which will also help young players to develop because they will learn a lot from these star players. But I also concur that buying expensive players will not give the Saudi League a long time development if they don't have plans to integrate young Saudi players into the league. The management of the Saudi league should also ensure that it is not only these star players that will be well paid. The Saudi League is generally known now as a high-paying league so it is also expected that all the players should be well paid just as it is done in most advanced leagues. The local players will not give their best if the pay gap between them and these foreign players is too wide. I am not saying that they should be paid the same wage but there should be an improvement from what they were receiving in time past because the  Saudi league is now in the global spotlight.

There's a reason it seems the Saudis are now mostly interested in Chelsea leftovers and that's because the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Clearlake Capital (who are a share holders at Chelsea) has a business which involves Clearlake Capital managing some investing from the PIF that has now taken ownership of about 4 clubs in the Saudis Pro league. We should be expecting a lot of business between Chelsea and the PIF until the transfer window is over. Chelsea has alot of players that needs to be offloaded that are big money earners that only Saudis can handle their wages.

Todd Boehly is a business man and finding loophole are his specialties and he has been doing that since he took over Chelsea. He did it in the January transfer window that saw him spend millions without breaking any rules and he's doing it again by selling lots of players without breaking any rules. He's going to be the owner of a club in Europe that benefits the most from this Saudis money been spent. I see buzz about what Chelsea are doing is illegal and not been fair to other clubs but that's how business is, only those that understand the games gets the biggest piece of the pie

Neymar received a sizable offer to join the Saudi League therefore other players must have been drawn by the glamour of playing alongside Ronaldo Messi and Benzema.

it's true that with ronaldo playing in the arab league a lot has changed, the press started to talk a lot about the arab league, people started to follow the arab league games and now it's not just ronaldo's team that wants to have good players, the other teams are also making an effort to hire the best players, but I saw on tv in my country that neymar wants to return to barcelona but that for that to happen he would have to lower his salary a lot, but in my opinion neymar na he will go back to barcelona, ideally for neymar and go to play in saudi arabia because in europe he is always injured and involved in controversies, and he is the type of player that coaches get headaches

I also saw a rumor that ronaldo's team wants to bring in William Carvalho and Marcelo Brozovic, I don't know how far that could be true, but it's better that the Arabs start rushing to sign players because now that messi has gone to the states united of america so it is possible that more players agree to go to the united states than go to saudi arabia, in any case it seems to me that the arabs need to create a good league next season so that they can attract new talents, that is the only way that the Saudi Arabia League will reach very high levels of competitiveness in the future. until now I'm wondering if these Arabs are making a profit with so much spending on player signings

From the developments that have been made by the management of the Saudi Arabian Pro League, of course the developments from year to year are getting better. It's just that they started late but it doesn't really matter because they did it this year and it has proven to raise the name of the Saudi Arabia pro league even more famous. Several major Saudi Arabian pro league teams continue to target many players with well-known player status and of fairly good quality.

Benzema presence this season is sure to be talked about in every media because he was one of the stickers who was quite qualified in the past season with Real Madrid. So, with that in mind, SPL next season will certainly make a big difference in the fight for the title because two famous player names will compete with each other in bringing their teams to become champions next season.

IMO, they're not late by nature. however this effort is something of the first step of a privatization project from the kingdom of Saudi Arabia which has the aim of developing Saudi Arabian football. this project, has been planned and will involve more parties and bring in the world's top players.
This project was recently planned, by Prince Mohammed bin Salman. proven, at first they brought the world's top star CR7 to Al Nassr. after the season was over, Al Ittihad did not want to lose to bring in Benzema, N'Golo Kante. As if not wanting to be outdone, Al Nassr is again trying to bring in another player, namely Hakim Ziyech and rumors that the contract is almost complete.

Al Hilal also did not want to lose, they appeared and enlivened the hunt for European players. but starting from the midfielder, namely, Ruben Neves and soon Koulibaly will follow to join Al Hilal. apparently, they have not decided to bring in a top European striker. the other two clubs, have not started their hunt even though they have tried to provide proposals to several clubs and players.

Well, next season the Saudi Pro League will be even more crowded with newcomers from European leagues. thus, it is certain that there will be 5 clubs that will appear competitive in the hunt for this competition trophy.

Ronaldo's move to Al Nasser was a tremendous grab for Saudi, and I believe it opened the door for great clubs in the league to begin making acquisitions from European football. After all, the Saudi Arabia league has what it takes to hit harder next season. Saudi clubs have been proactive in the transfer window, influencing the minds of footballers who want to generate significant figures for themselves by signing them. I don't appreciate the league since it continually deals with finances, a player can play out of personal ambition, always play for great clubs in Saudi, rewriting the story of football giants.

Since Al-Nassr signed Cristiano Ronaldo after the FIFA World Cup his influence has really made many other European players to consider  plying their trade in the Saudi Arabian League.
Ronaldo influence will before the end of the summer transfer window will make many people to join him in the league. With the way at which the Saudi Arabian League is fast growing and gaining global recognition, it might the next big league in club football and that's one the Cristiano Ronaldo effects
Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabia, other Saudi clubs have been trying hard to sign big stars from Europe.  Like a few days ago Al-Hilal offered a huge amount of money to bring Lionel Messi to their team but they finally failed to bring Lionel Messi to Saudi Arabia. Al-Hilal failed to bring Lionel Messi to Saudi Arabia but another Saudi club Al Ittihad took Karim Benzema to their club. Ronaldo Messi Karim Benzema was not limited to these three Saudi clubs. Neymar was also offered a big sum to join the Saudi League but Neymar refused the offer.
The impact Cristiano Ronaldo move to Saudi Arabia has had on the league and the fervour among Saudi clubs to attract more European stars is interesting to watch. The latest reports regarding Al Hilal audacious attempt to sign Lionel Messi must have generated a lot of enthusiasm among football fans in the area. Al Hilal made every attempt to catch up with their pursuers but they were unsuccessful. However when Al Ittihad was able to sign Karim Benzema adding to the already star studded squad in the league the Saudi Arabian football scene underwent a dramatic change. Neymar received a sizable offer to join the Saudi League therefore other players must have been drawn by the glamour of playing alongside Ronaldo Messi and Benzema. However it appears that Neymar devotion to his present team and dedication to them won out as he chose to turn down the alluring offer. These achievements demonstrate Saudi clubs increased ambition and financial strength as they work to establish themselves on the world football stage.

Yes, indeed, there will always be good sides and bad sides, but if it is related to local players who might not develop, then of course that will be a bad side that they have to consider again. But yes, if they have a good program and/or plan to keep giving local players to develop then of course, with these star players they can learn a lot and gain experience and knowledge from the star players who are there. So in any case, I think they must have considered this too, because by recruiting star players it doesn't mean they will ignore local players.

A star will shine in any situation. If at all, the introduction of proven star players from other leagues to the Saudi Arabian League and these teams will increase the level of competition in the squad for first 11 place. Players in the team will see a need to improve so as to keep and maintain their position. I doubt that any manager of any team in the league will see a player not playing well, like very poorly and still choose to leave him in the team to start games because he is a player they attracted to the club with money from other more known leagues.

Clubs in the Saudi Professional League look set to land more stars from Europe this season. In fact, I heard that there are players from a club from the Italian league who will also join the SPL. The bottom line is that in the coming season I think the SPL league will really put out a much better game than usual.
They only join Saudi Professional League if they receive more money from those local clubs than European clubs. It is what is happening and it will stop when Saudi Arabian clubs stop their policies to give very high salary for players from Europe. I don't believe the policy will continue forever even Saudi Arabia is a very rich country with income from oil.

In fact, what makes me most curious is the Al-Nassr vs Al-ittihad match, which of course will bring together Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema as an opponent. The competition from the former two best strikers from Real Madrid will be very interesting to watch.

Im very happy now after al hilal failed to get messi from PSG and it's now able to get neves from wolves. Never has been getting an offer from barcelona but he refuses it as he was even more interesting to play in al hilal.

He will be in the same club as koulibally too. Im very happy as never has been picking the best choice rather than going to the barcelona.

Barcelona is again losing one of its target in summer transfer season. I hope that more players to come soon. It seems like that all of things going so well for al hilal after messi rejected to join in this club.

Yeah, that makes other european players are feeling confident to go there. Ronaldo has proven even though he must be playing in the different time zone and season, it's not a big problem for ronaldo. The players can start to adapt with the environment slowly.
That must be the main reason for other players are also interesting to go there. Benzema, kante, mendy, kouliball, ziyech and many more. They are interesting to play for saudi clubs.
They wanna be a part of the extensive projects that already planned by saudi clubs. Im very glad that if ronaldo will not become the only one who played there.
He will be having more friends to come, especially benzema as his best friend once ronaldo was still playing on real madrid,.I hope this will make saudi league to be even better.

I still don't understand the craze surrounding European leagues. The club owners treat their players badly and refuse to release them even for tournaments such as the FIFA World Cup and Copa America. And let's not forget the threats from European clubs when FIFA decided to conduct the 2022 World Cup in November-December. The threat was that they will not allow their players to participate in the tournament, as their league is more important than the FIFA World Cup. Finally the Saudis have put an end to the European monopoly and now their arrogance should be a bit reduced. SPL still has a long way to go, but at this point it is moving in the right direction.

@Sithara007 player’s yet prefer European club’s because of the huge fan following plus known recognition that they get for achieving new records for these clubs. Furthermore while SPL is stealing lot of quality player’s most of them are aged hence the European club’s won’t bother much at least for now but once young stars too start too leave then they’ll go into panic mode and it’ll be interesting to see how they’ll secure their young stars amid interest from SPL clubs.

The next season for the competition is going to be really tough because some top Saudi teams have showed interest in many players currently playing in Europe and most of them are satisfied with the offers coming for them. Gradually, the unknown Saudi team is already getting media attention and following after Ronaldo join the Al-Nassr team last season. Many people assumes it’s about money most of the players are joining those teams, if that’s the reason, then it’s still okay. But I’m certain that very soon the league will no more be about that but will be a tough competitive league amongst others.

Maybe the Arab league is popular since Ronaldo joined there.  before that no one even discussed it here. Ronaldo popularity can raise the Saudi Arabian League, it is increasingly known throughout the world, even Ronaldo arrival makes the Saudi Arabian League even more interesting to watch.

To me Ronaldo's arrival has not made the league interesting. It might have made it popular but its the way it has always been before Ronaldo. The league is interesting to people who follow it. I don't even think the viewers of the league have improved that much.
I have never watched a match from the Saudi league and I'm certain a lot of people here talking about it haven't either. I will try to change that because I'm a football fan and I like to keep tabs on different football league. There was a time I was watching the JLeague, till my source became unavailable in my location.
These as the issues those leagues are having. Many people don't have access to their games.
If any league will rub shoulders with the European league its the MLS. They do not have as much money as the Saudis but they are investing heavily in other areas and bringing a lot of players to their league.

At this rate, I believe the Arabs will take over football, but it wont be through their league. It would be through acquisition of European teams. It may take time but with how things keep going its a very big probability.

It is called the GOAT factor. Ronaldo's presence in the league is giving it a lot of recognition and attention as many european players are flogging to the Saudi Arabian league. Benzema, Kante have recently signed and it is reported that deals have been agreed with Eduardo Mendy, Reuben Neves and Kuolibaly. Money is unarguably the main driving factor here and if I were to predict I would say that atleast 10 european players would move to the Saudi Arabian league before the transfer market comes to a end.

Yeah, Saudis are using their influence in European clubs with now investing huge funds are also their weapon for having big stars in their league and trying their best for success of their bid for the 2030 World Cup which is hanging but have good ratio due to many factors Cristiano Ronaldo and now Karm Banzema are big stars in European with good influence around soccer world giving them good advantage hopefully now in coming weeks we will have many more which will be jumped here due to all things which are important for any player.

Even right now Saudi Pro League is having no quality like we have in European soccer but if they will develop things here and also start good academies which will be also brought many teenagers and surely this will be also impressive for the long term success specially African region players will be able to have good base and success for their money problems which is also important.

But I can't fully grasp yet whether their goal is to keep pimping up their national league or whether they are also planning to expand their influence in European soccer leagues. Newcastle hasn't yet announced big transfers, but I expect that they will do it very soon. The race is now on and I think even clbs that have been relatively successful in the past and also did ok financially will soon have no chance when it comes to competing for talent. The billionaires are becoming more and more serious about taking control of all types of sports.

I still believe that every player's goal and definition of success in football is linked to fame and money. They will want to grab at least one if they can’t get both. I don't see anything wrong with Saudi clubs making significant offers to great European league players to come join them and help their league grow. In exchange for their popularity, they will get more viewers, followers, and deals, allowing them to recoup more of the money they spent to get to that point. Every player has different priorities; some are motivated by money, while others are motivated by fame. However, it is exceedingly improbable that a player will go solely for fame and not for financial gain.

It has been reportedly if mendy already agreed personal term. Finally, the way for him to go to the saudi club become even closer. Mendy gonna be the first recruitment from al ahli. The club was offering him very big salary.
I hope that the transfer will be going smootly. Al ahli is now focusing to get another player from different club while chelsea has been successfully selling some players to the saudi clubs like ziyech and mendy even koulibally.
Chesea is also making its club have very close relationship to the saudi club. It seems like that saudi club will be very welcome from any good players from chelsea.
We do know that so players who will be leaving from the club have been winning so many trophies and they have amazing potential.
