The SPL became even more interesting after Cristiano joined Al-Nassr, and now, Karim Benzema has also followed in Cristiano footsteps and joined this season SPL winners Al-Ittihad. Of course, the arrival of big stars will change the way the world views the SPL and will also change the atmosphere in the league itself.
Indeed. The next season will be interesting since both Benzema and Ronaldo are in different clubs. So, they will be rivals, which one to be the best striker in the next season. However, if there is no significant change both in Al Nassr and Al Ittihad, I think Benzema will have a bigger chance to be the top scorer. Al Ittihad looks stronger, especially since they have Benzema for the next season. SPL atmosphere may be as well as the top league in Europe for the next season.  Grin

BTW, there are no more rumors about Messi joining Barcelona or any of the clubs in the SPL, officially he will play with Inter Miami, this is a shame for the public because if he joins a Saudi club, we'll see their rivalry (Cristiano & Messi) back before they actually retired.
Yes, the latest news I heard that Messi finally decided to join Inter Miami. It will be very surprising if he canceled the decision and choose one of Saudi clubs.

Saudi Arabia is considering a bold strategy to revolutionize their league by acquiring high-priced players. Yet, I remain skeptical about their ability to recoup the funds or achieve their desired goals within such a short timeframe. While I am open to different perspectives, I would like to hear what others think about this matter.
Saudi Arabia is a very wealthy nation that was not usually mentioned any time soccer is talked about. All the money that they are spending currently to bring in big players is an investment amount spent with an intention to bring more attention to their league. The benefits that these clubs expect to get from bringing in this big players is usually not financial all the time but some other added benefits that they can bring. Being able to accommodate world stars in your club will automatically give your club a good face to people internationally.

Al ittihad has not yet stopped to add the new players. It's now starting to hunt some professional players that has ever won so many trophies but will leave with free transfer. It's now targeting kante as the next recruitment after benzema.
It's very to see how so many billionaires were using so much money just to buy more and more players from EU. SPL gonna be one of largest league in the future.

The money from oil just like make a magic. It was pushing the popularity from the league drastically at this moment.
I hope that there will be bunch of names to come to the SPL soon. Im waiting for this.
As champion of the saudi arabian professional league, Al Ittihad is working towards retaining the league title by re-enforcing the team with great additions. They have brought in Karim Benzema, Ngolo Kanye and there are speculations that they are also trying to seal the signatures of Sergio Busquet, Nacho, Jordi Alba etc. Money can never be the problem here because they have assigned a very huge budget to attract their transfer targets, all they want is the willingness of these players to play in the league.

So far, Al Ittihad has bagged 9 Saudi Arabia Pro League titles, including the most recent title for the 2022-23 season. besides that, Al Ittihad also has 9 King Cup titles, 8 Crown Prince Cups, 1 Super Cup, and 3 Saudi Federation Cups. unfortunately, since 2011-12, Al Ittihad has only been able to win the Saudi Professional League trophy again this season. Meanwhile, in the previous season, Al Ittihad was only 2 points away from Al Hilal, who had dominated this competition for 3 consecutive seasons.

By regaining the title of champion of the Saudi Professional League, it looks like Al Ittihad is determined to defend its title by signing Karim Benzema. even though he is already 35 years old, his sharpness and instinct for scoring goals can still be relied upon. besides that, it seems that Al Ittihad is not satisfied with just signing Karim Benzema. latest rumor, N'Golo Kante joins Al Ittihad. The main part of the contract has been signed, just waiting for the final documents to announce the deal. for Busquets, Nacho, Jordi Alba etc, I haven't got any information regarding them.

Well, what about Al Nassr, will they hunt some other players. also, it seems that Al Hilal will not just stay silent. Currently, Messi has made his choice. so, who are the other candidates they will be aiming for. Next season, the Saudi Pro League will be quite interesting with the presence of several star players playing in this competition.

Well again the Saudi League made a surprise in the transfer market the arrival of Benzema will increase the popularity of this league
A good business pattern is carried out by the Saudi League club. The presence of players who have big names in the world of football can bring "profits" not only to the club that signed the player, but beyond that.

Congratulations to Al Ittihad for bringing in the Ballon d'Or winner.

I am sure that the Saudi League will have players with other big names after Karim Benzema.
Kabar, Kante and a number of other names continue to be associated with this league.

But I wondered whether it was true that Benzema and Ronaldo got the same salary? local media reports that Benzema and Ronaldo get a salary of $200 million per season not including bonus, this means that these two players are at the same level.
Information from Reuters that I read from the local media is that Benzama earns a salary of around 100 million euros per season.

Of course, the arrival of big stars will change the way the world views the SPL and will also change the atmosphere in the league itself.
Al-Ittihad brought in two players directly maybe Benzema has been confirmed and this is hot news because he chose a career in the SPL instead of Real Madrid, now N'Golo Kanté is following in the footsteps of Benzema who will become a team later and this former Chelsea player has taken over the deal with a two-year contract plus the option of an extension I believe Al-Ittihad will be even stronger if these two European star players are in one team.

BTW, there are no more rumors about Messi joining Barcelona or any of the clubs in the SPL, officially he will play with Inter Miami, this is a shame for the public because if he joins a Saudi club, we'll see their rivalry (Cristiano & Messi) back before they actually retired.
I just heard other news why Messi decided to go to Inter Miami because their family wants to be there instead of Arab of course a lot of people want Messi to go to SPL to see their duet back but it looks like it will never happen again until they retire.
We will see a duet between Ronaldo and Benzema there.

Messi seems to be going to Beckham's American club, but he went to Saudi Arabia and apparently did not like something if he chose the American championship.
Someone jokingly said that "Messi might be a good footballer but he's not a good businessman". I don't really agree with this statement. We know how wealthy the Arabs are and that might have been ready to break the bank to bring Messi to Saudi Arabia but I don't think the offer was as juicy as what Inter Miami presented. Apart from the monetary package been given to Messi, the contract also has a clause for him to buy the club in the future if he chooses.

Well, if there is an option in the contract to buy a share in the club, it makes sense.
The American market is huge and could be worth more than the Sheikhs, but given Ronaldo's contract, maybe Messi could earn around 1 billion in Saudi Arabia. Given his age he could play 3-4 years, which is at least 200 million a year, plus probably bonuses, advertising contracts and 1 billion is quite a modest amount for him.

But he is closer to home and family in America and probably expects to take part in the World Cup in 2026, which will be held there.

Saudi clubs are offering huge sums of money to big stars due to which players have accepted last minute offers. Some of the famous players have come to the Saudi clubs and made a big splash so I would say that the huge offer of the Saudi club to be at the top of the discussion is really surprising. And with English clubs at the end of the season, all the stars are now on the move. However, Karim Benzema joined the club with a very good performance and enough to really make Saudi clubs known to the public. I would like to mention that there are many other stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, who are famous for popularizing Saudi clubs.

Al ittihad is a formidable club at the moment in their league, of course they are committed that they must remain consistent in holding back their performance, we think they will continue to look for opportunities to bring in some players who are good enough to maintain their performance on the pitch, Karim Benzema is one of the players which had a huge impact on his former club. maybe regarding some other players it only requires approval from them, and in terms of funds we don't think they are too worried in the slightest.

Al Ittihad is known as the best team in the Saudi Professional League. But Karim Benzema has taken a stronger form since he was brought into the team. Meanwhile, since Cristiano Ronaldo came to Saudi Arabia, many stars are now turning to Saudi clubs. It is impossible to get offers of such huge sums of money from anywhere else, which is why Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema have arrived. And (Lionel Messi is rumored to come to Saudi clubs) but if all these stars are in Saudi clubs, Saudi clubs will definitely have more success. Because a good teacher can teach the game to other players because these are the best players in the world today.

I agree, christaino Ronaldo has pave the way for Saudi football to be more fun to watch and also gamble on different sport books and with the new addition of famous players to league, it will also make things more interesting and I can't wait to supposedly see lio messi in the this league. But my only concern about this current trend of player moving to the Saudi league is that football these days is now look on the financial aspect instead of the joy that comes in playing the game.
this will be huge business development in Saudi football. they have crazy rich people to do business with. and they can spend a lot of money on their business.
I think if more and more top European players come to the Saudi Professional League it will be a great change. because the media will still highlight how star players play. like Ronaldo who can't be separated from the media even though he moved to Arabic. maybe the situation would be different if Ronaldo moved to the Americas League.

I think Ngolo Kante is also coming to play for Al Ittihad. So, Al Ittihad strengthened by 2 excellent players and probably next season will be ready to become the champion.

Since arabian clubs were offering big contracts maybe even until the player can't play football anymore (retire). Benzema and kante have been achieving everything right now.
Messi has confirmed that if he was accepting an offer from miami and he is not even willing to go to the saudi club. It's very strange to see that his decision being taken is not from his heart.

Barcelona has even made its official statement regarding the acceptance of contract from miami by messi. I think that if messi has been picking a very wrong decision by accepting an offer from miami. He will be playing soccer and not football.
So many fans are contracting with his decision to go to the miami.

Messi's impact was really big for miami. After annoucement if messi has agreed with miami and it was tripling miami's followers in insta.
One of the most interesting things about the Saudi Pro League team in terms of the duration of the contracts given to players, Benzema and Nkante received contracts with a duration of 2 seasons with the option of extending for another season. This might be an attraction for Benzema and Nkante to join Al Ittihad in addition to the salary they receive with a very large amount.

But little sad with Lionel Messi failed reach agreement with Al Hilal after signing with MLS Leagues teams, Inter Miami, we can't see how compete Saudi Pro League competition next season after arriving Benzema and Nkante then Cristiano Ronaldo with Al Nassr. I think Al Hilal will find new star player for replacing Lionel Messi and they won't loss compete with Al Nassr and Al Ittihad.

Al lttihad were fortunate to have Kante and Benzema in the same club; they are both world-class players whose presence will strengthen the team's playing style, its definitely going be interesting watching both players feature league games next season. That is exactly what happens when a club is looking to make substantial signings. Karim Benzema has anticipated his future and is unlikely to be ready to render services in his old age; he must create substantial figures for his rendered services on the pitch. Saudi Arabia is only adept at one thing: spending more money on players for the purpose to raise league standards.

Where will they have more success? Do you mean in the AFC Champions League? That could be the case since for now it was mostly Al-Hilal that represented Saudi Arabia in that competition. We will see how far Al-Ittihad is going to make it, but the qualification for now also was successful without Benzema. It remains to be seen how fit Benzema will stay for the time to come and whether he is going to play a lot of games. Would be interesting to see. Right now the Saudi clubs are in a frenzy trying to buy players from all over Europe. But Lewandowski is one of the big names who declined the offer so far and it is said that the offer is "astronomical", which doesn't come as a surprise. I am curious how far the Saudis are going to take this project.
