There is a lot of speculation about Sadio Mane and whether he will stay in Bayern Munich or move to Saudi Arabia teams namely Al Ahli. I see contract being talked about and money while his agent mentioned clearly that there isn't any contact (yet) between the player and any Saudi Arabia team.
I guess it is a move to let Mane think clearly about his future without pressure. His career with Bayern Munich will not be promising, he better join another team like PSG or Inter / Juve or maybe Real Madrid.
Bayern Munich is surely not good experience for the 31 years old Senegalese with now looking for new destination with most chances he will prefer to stay in Europe but right now any prediction is not going to be perfect because we have few rumours two Saudi Pro League clubs are chasing him but nothing officially coming from any party. Al-Ahli already have Firmino, so they want to reunite him with Sadio Mané and Al-Nassr is also looking for him, but we have to wait for the official statement from both parties.

One thing is clear that it's all depend on Harry Kane and Bayern Munich contact because if we have this move then surely he is going to leave otherwise they can accumulate him because they also have no other suitable option right now with Manchester United is also having interest in signing the Sadio Mané.

I don't think that it has solely to do with money. Income tax in Saudi Arabia is quite low (20%, compared to 55% in France) and the quality of the national league is quite good (unlike the case with the European leagues). On top of that, Saudi Arabian clubs are know to respect and value their players, unlike some of the European clubs. Also, the managers in European clubs are very powerful and they decide whether a particular player gets an opportunity to start in the XI or not. I haven't noticed any such issues with the Saudi Professional League.
Do football players in Saudi Arabia have to pay 20% income tax too?
Are they gotten special income tax than normal citizens and are free from such tax?

PwC shows players will be applied with withholding tax, from 5% to 20%.
Saudi Arabia. Individual - Taxes on personal income
Quote
There is no individual income tax scheme in Saudi Arabia.

Income tax is not imposed on an individual's earnings if they are derived only from employment in Saudi Arabia.

Non-employment income is taxed as an entity or permanent establishment (PE). See Taxes on corporate income in the Corporate summary for more information on the taxation of non-employment income.

A non-resident person with no PE who derives income from a source in Saudi Arabia is taxed based on the withholding tax (WHT) regulations. See Withholding taxes in the Corporate summary for more information on WHT regulations.

Corporate - Withholding taxes

Payments made from a resident party or a PE to a non-resident party for services performed are subject to WHT. The rates vary between 5%, 15%, and 20% based on the type of service and whether the beneficiary is a related party.

The WHT should be paid within the first ten days of the month following the month during which the payment was made.

The domestic rate for WHT is 5% on dividends, 5% on interest, and 15% on royalties.

I just hope Robert Firmino deliver a good job in his new club, he would afterall he got lengthy experience in European football. Saudi Arabia is the final destination for any footballer looking to earn an excessive amount of money from clubs. Earning big bucks is the only option for Robert Firmino; he's one of Jurgen Klopp's excellent players who performed when given the chance. The Brazilian international's decision to become part of the Saudi Arabian team is completely understood; players that transfer to the Saudi league have little or no performance to provide, because it's all about competition.

Roberto Firmino's is fast aging and wouldn't be giving 100% performance he was delivering in his early years as Liverpool player. He knows that accepting any offer with a top European club might not give him much playing times as he would be preferred to be coming from the bench.
Saudi Arabian clubs are offering huge amount of money which most the European players that are going there will fall back to after their retirement from playing football. He's still got great footballing skills that'll make his stay at in the middle East a success

European clubs made offers to Roberto Firmino. For example: I read last month in a speculation that Real Madrid wants to strengthen its forward by transferring Brazilian star forward Roberto Firmino. Or I read last month in a speculation thatRoberto Firmino was on Galatasaray's agenda. Roberto Firmino chose the Al Ahli team.

Previously, there were various rumors linking the Brazilian player to join several clubs. whether it's AC Milan, or even Real Madrid, it was also rumored that Firmino was interested in joining Barcelona. but now, Roberto Firmino has signed for Al Ahli in the Saudi Professional League after his contract with Liverpool expired last season. in fact, previously there was hope that Firmino would find another club in Europe. but Al Ahli have announced that Firmino has signed for them as a free agent. reports indicate that his contract with Al-Ahli will last three years. thus, Al Ahli have signed Firmino and Edouard Mendy.

Now, Al-Ahli is interested and is trying in the last few days to bring Sadio Mane to join them. at least, if Sadio Mane accepts the offer, Al Ahli have players who are sharp enough up front. although, these two players are no longer young.
If I refer to their squad, most of the players are dominated by local players. my guess is that it is very likely that Al-Ahli will still bring in several other top European players. apparently, very interesting.

Previously I had heard rumors that Riyad Mahrez would join a Saudi league team and it turned out that the club was Al-Ahli who had recently acquired Eduard Mendy and also Roberto Firminho. As the team is promoted to the saudi league next season Al-Ahli could be a new contender to win the saudi league title if they continue to bring in European players who have a lot of experience.
Al ahli has been making so many progress. This is even more compared with the progress that being made by al hilal. A bit surprised that as a new team that got promoted into the SPL, al ahli has been trying to buy so many players. The fact that if this is also proving al ahli is seriously trying to become a serious contender in SPL. it will be competing with another strongest club like nassr, ittihad even al hilal.
There's no choice for al ahli other than making its squad become even stronger than before.

It looks like Riyad Mahrez's decision will be made in the near future and besides in manchester city he has already won everything and I don't think it would be wrong for him to make more money in the saudi league this time. Bernardo Silva has also been frequently linked with the Saudi league team and if this all happens I think Al-Ahli will be prepared to compete with Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal and also Al-Ittihad.
Still waiting for final decision from manchester city. Mahrez agreed with al ahli's offer but the finalization of the deal must be on the manchester city's hand. The fact that if city is now trying to make sure if the club can win UCL again next season.
Pep guardiola keen to see mahrez stays a bit longer in the manchester city. I hope city will make final decision asap.

On top of all, Mane is getting older and this deal would be a long one, which means that instead of having 22 million now and then maybe 5-10 after that, he would be making 20 million for many years in a row, that is the key factor here. He knows that he is not as good as he used to be back in Liverpool, so he could take the last deal he could and make a lot of money.

However, I agree that Mane should be offered like 50-60 at least by Saudi league if we are talking about some other players are getting what they are getting, they have showed their hand and they have paid a lot, so if they start paying less now, no player would go there for less amount. He could just find someone paying 10 and stay in Europe if he wants to, why leave now for small amount.

^^^ Currently Sadio Mané is earning €22 million per year from his contract with Bayern Munich. The offer from Al Ahli is surprisingly lower than what he currently receives. As per reports, Mané is being offered a salary of €20 million per year by the Saudis which is around 10% lower than what he is earning right now. But I guess he doesn't have too many option with him right now. Bayern Munich management is not happy with him, as a result of various on-field and off-field incidents and other available options for him are much less lucrative.
I think if Al-ahli manages to bring in Sadio Mane and bring him together with Firminho. Then this will make the club's performance truly extraordinary. We know Firminho and Mane have had a bond since at Liverpool. So when the two meet then it will be a reunion that I think can get Mane back to his best. We know Mane's time at Liverpool was extraordinary. But he went to Bayern it seems he had difficulty adapting there. But if Mane moves to Al-Ahli then I think he will adapt quickly because there is a player he has played with for a long time at Liverpool, namely Firminho. which of course will make Mane comfortable there.

I'm not sure what Sadio Mane wants to do for the next season but we know it depends on his team and the players they are going to hire for the next season because if Bayern Munch makes Harry Kane join this team for the next season they won't need Sadio Mane and he can easily leave Bayern Munich to the Saudi teams.

However, Sadio Mane is still in a good situation and I think Al Ahli should pay lots for mont for this player even at this age.

Yes there were many talks of where he was going to end up, but he is finally in the SPL. It is to make money of course being an already successful player, I do not criticize him for it.

Another Liverpool player that the Rich clubs of Saudi Arabia are interested in is Mohammed Salah. Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal are interested in the Egyptian and will gladly pay a good amount for him if Liverpool allow for negotiation.

https://pakobserver.net/ronaldos-al-nassr-aiming-to-sign-mohamed-salah/

Many more players will join the SPL if after this season, the new European players that have moved to the league are able to improve the quality of the league.

But little confused have Saudi Pro League teams want to pay highest salary for goal keeper have been 45 years old, I don't think how impressive perform from Buffon due at the end years of his football professional career although for goals keeper not required more strong phisical.

For palying football in Saudi Arabia, I think Buffon's age is just a number there, because of his physical condition, compared to players who are 5 years younger than him, buffon may have better physique conditions. While in Europe and becoming a top European player, surely Buffon has a training and fitness portion that is very different from other players in Saudi Arabia. Perhaps the difference is the weather in Arabia with Europe which can be disturbing Buffon.
Saudi needs publicity, while age is just a number. Buffon has reportedly turned down the mega offer from Saudi Arabia and is expected to announce his retirement in the coming days. Personally, I didn't think he would choose to play there for several reasons, even for such a big amount of money involved. Hopefully, we'll have the opportunity to see him return in a coaching role at some point in the future.

Buffon has great loyalty to the club that has placed their trust in him, it happened at Juventus and also at Parma. So yes, I personally am not sure if Buffon is willing to leave Parma just because of a big money offer. But indeed, as a human or an ordinary person for me personally, if I were in Buffon's position then I would take an offer from a Saudi Professional League club, at least to end my career with a lot of money to be had. So yes, if Buffon refuses and maybe decides to retire, then maybe that's the best for Buffon, because Buffon himself knows to what extent he is physically ready, strong and able to play.

This is the most awesome news this week. Buffon have earned enough money in his career, so he wouldnt have to play for that reason anymore, but just for fun. There been offered 30 million a year, insane. That would bring a world champion into the league and a lot of fans. The jersey sales of Buffon should be very very good, even I am thinking about buying one. In Italy, the league in Saudi Arabia is not such a big deal, but whith Buffon it is getting bigger.

But I wonder whether these marketing effects are sustainable. Even the Italian fans might be excited about it for a few weeks or maybe even months, but at some point that excitement will be over. Further, I don't know about the jersey sales. Buffon is a great goalkeeper and a great person, but that wouldn't convince me to buy a jersey from him playing in Saudi Arabia. It's cool when people do it, but how many will really do it? For him if he is healthy, why not? Getting paid 30 million while having some more fun doesn't sound too bad.

It is confirm that the club who want Mahrez is Al Ahli and Mahrez himself has been agree moved to Al Ahli because he has won every trophies with Manchester City and the latest is champion league trophy so he feel it's time to find new challenge with other teams moreover Al Ahli has been offering the salary what Mahrez can't resist because this team are willing to pay him 25 millions per year

Compared to Mahrez salary in Manchester City which is not more than 5 millions per year so i am sure he will be tempting to considers that offer but looks like Guardiola will object to this transfer because he don't want to losing more important player this summer especially after Bernardo Silva linked to several clubs and the lastest is PSG will joining the race to get Silva so Guardiola doesn't want to lose them both but Mahrez still give his priority for Manchester City and if they think that he is still needed in this team then Mahrez will decide to stay

Who is not tempted if offered a salary 5x higher than what he got at Manchester City moreover Riyad Mahrez no longer prioritized his career because he was 32 years old and has achieved the highest title, as you said he would prefer to find new challenges in the new league while waiting for retirement and high salary. It's just that Manchester City is not sure to release this one player because its contribution is still needed and also haven't found a replacement, of course they don't want to take risks.

From several sources, Manchester City is looking for new players to replace Silva or Mahrez he is Oscar Gloukh RB Salzburg young player from Israel, if Manchester City can bring in Gloukh, there is a possibility that Silva or Mahrez joins Saudi Pro League if it fails, Mahrez will stay with Manchester City.

MANCHESTER CITY star Riyad Mahrez has reportedly agreed a stunning £410,000-a-week transfer to Saudi Arabia.
But the winger will not force through a transfer exit after winning the Treble under Pep Guardiola.

The sun has been also publishing it. I read also in another news if mahrez has been personally agreed with PIF for moving to the saudi pro league.
It's mahrez's decision whether he is willing to leave from city or try to stay even longer. Pep is still hoping him to stay but club's decision will be also impacting mahrez's decision. His team mate bernardo silva is also being targeted by saudi club as well.

When Juventus don't want to extend his contract and PSG sign him for free, Juventus already know he can't play in professional league anymore. The reason why the Saudi Pro League want to sign him is for popularity, Buffon might only play for first half or second half, then he could be substituted with other goalkeeper.

I think the Saudi Pro League is really serious to increase their popularity and built their league to be viewed by many people.
