Before Cristiano Ronaldo was signed to the Saudi Arabian League, the league had been very unpopular view from from world football audience who weren't from Saudi Arabia but because of Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival at the club in the country, millions people all of the word now watch the league and having seen the effect of bringing top players to the league weather young or old, Saudi clubs will continue to make such signings to boost the number of audience

There's always someone to pave way for others, with all of his influence, it was the perfect switch to from European League to another one.
More players apart from Karim Benzema have been linked directly to the club, Aubameyang,  Sergio Ramos, Busquet, Jordi Alba all are players linked to make switch to Saudi Arabian league. The heads of the league have also invested money a huge some to convince European players moving to the Saudi Arabian league.
Cristiano Ronaldo has really put Saudi Arabia on the map, with many others following in his footsteps. we have witnessed Benzema's decision to leave European football behind and join the Saudi Arabian league, which speaks volumes about the financial power of the Arab league. As they say, money talks, and it seems that the Arab league definitely has a lot to say when it comes to football! I can remember Ronaldo sharing his thoughts on this matter, predicting that the Arab league would become an exciting to watch within next 5-10 years - and it looks like he may have been right!

Actually Saudi Arabia has a plan that's why they're looking for players with influence to come play for the country's league. Noticed they're not just going for any players but those that are very popular (have influence) and still have something to offer before they retire officially from football. Saudi Arabia are planning to bid for the 2023 world cup and from how things are going it feels like they can achieved that as now they have everyone talking about them and looking at their stadium capacity and facilities. This was the main reason they went for Cristiano Ronaldo in the first place.

They knew getting him to move to Saudi Arabia will help convince other players as well. I just feel for Cristiano Ronaldo now because he's getting a small deal when compared to what they're using to convince Messi to move over the Saudi Arabia. He has to ask for an upgrade (exact salary with Messi or slightly higher) because Ronaldo has proven to Al Nassr that he's still the goal scorer they knew and now that he'll be playing from the beginning of the season. They should watch him score 30+ goals. He scored about 14 in the half season he played so do the maths.

It is not just football. Ever since Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud became the ruler of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom has been taking serious steps in order to make that country a global sports hub. Saudi Professional League is obviously one of their top priorities, given the fact that football is the most popular sport within KSA, as well as at global level. They are also making massive investments in other sports, such as golf, cricket and boxing. And in the end, it is the players who are going to benefit from it. Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr was worth manytimes his contract with ManUtd (£3,400,000 per week vs £385,000 per week). Same with Messi as well (€8,333,333 per week vs £750,000 per week).

For players whose careers have come to an end, an adventure in Saudi Arabia for a year or two is very attractive in terms of making a great financial contribution. The latest example of this was Benzema. Not only Benzema, but also other players will be transferred. We can watch a lot of transfers in the Saudi league this summer.
I don't think that the move to Saudi Arabia is only for players who only have two years or for old players, you are getting the Saudi's plan from the shallow side. If these well known superstars move to Saudi,it will also influence the younger ones who have looked up to these old ones as role models. And moreover is Saudi is pay a huge sum of money to players, nobody won't be tempted to accept their offer. Saudi Arabia also wants to be competitive in football as they have seen that football gives popularity to a country. Next season Saudi league will be more interesting and before you know it,as time passes by Saudi will be the discussion and gamblers will place their bets on this league.

It looks like Benzema will really play in Saudi Arabia next season and Benzema is playing at Al-Ittihad FC, and basically Al-Ittihad FC has also been very good this season because they won the Saudi Professional League title. Thus, I feel Ronaldo's task will be difficult to give the title to Al-Nassr because after all, next season Al-Ittihad FC can be a strong candidate as well to be able to defend the trophy. Indeed, anything can still happen, but in my personal view Al-Ittihad FC will certainly be a better team because after all, Benzema is still very good at scoring lots of goals.
Al ittihad has not yet stopped to add the new players. It's now starting to hunt some professional players that has ever won so many trophies but will leave with free transfer. It's now targeting kante as the next recruitment after benzema.
It's very to see how so many billionaires were using so much money just to buy more and more players from EU. SPL gonna be one of largest league in the future.

The money from oil just like make a magic. It was pushing the popularity from the league drastically at this moment.
I hope that there will be bunch of names to come to the SPL soon. Im waiting for this.

If they move all the superstars from La League, Premier League, Serie A, League 1 and Bundesliga, then they'll be able to really build the best football league in the world but at the moment I can't think about what ROI they expect from such a big investment. They are offering massively amazing money to pro players, that can be a huge gap in budget, can't be?
They have to keep in mind their population, their love and tradition towards football. Do they plan to make every match rely on people who fly from homeland to Saudi Arabia? Will they be able to fill spaces by doing so? I don't know, sounds interesting, this is a serious investment and probably they have already thought a lot about that.
@Synchronice I believe that the Saudi league will become a really powerful league in the long run because every young and old star will decide to join it as they won’t get such lucrative benefits elsewhere. Furthermore I’m waiting to see which big star will they capture next because so far they have managed to capture old star player’s only.

Young stars will definitely find it difficult to increase their selling value if, at a young age, they have joined the Arab League, but for old stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and several others, joining the Arab League is a good choice, especially since European teams prioritize young players with potential rather than old stars which have experienced a decrease in performance.

Quote
Lionel Messi's representatives held a meeting with the Saudi Arabian club's delegation on Monday and requested that they postpone their expected move to the Saudi Pro League until 2024, according to a GOAL source. However, representatives of Saudi Arabia were taken aback by the news, and told Messi's side that their offer next year would be different from the €500m-a-year (£435m/$541m) deal currently in place.

I saw on the news online, that Messi's father is still fighting for Messi to play again at Barcelona but I think this is a strange decision. I remember Cristiano Ronaldo fighting with his agent because he didn't allow him to move to Al Nassr before.

The current world's best player and former world best in one league is a welcomed development. Saudi Professional is going to be interesting next season and there are still rumors that more experienced and quality players will still join the league. Al-Ittihad FC is the current champion of the SPL which means that they will feature in the Asian continental competition. So Karim Benzema will be featured in these matches. One of the benefits of signing these players is that younger players will be able to learn from them and improve their game. The Saudi league administrators are doing everything possible to ensure that the league gets wider coverage next season. Gambling is prohibited in Saudi Arabia so the league might not be able to get the attention of major gambling firms to sponsor or support the league.

It seems that with regards to Benzema's arrival to Al-Ittihad it is only a matter of waiting for the official announcement and for sure this will be the second successful transfer for a European star player to come to the saudi league. Now the two former Real Madrid team-mates look set to face each other in SPL next season and it's sure to be a race to score more goals soon.

This season's competition is also led by Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr, maybe next season we will still see that competition. Certainly now the SPL cannot be underestimated for some people out there because they dare to make large investments to be able to get star players.

Yep, I read on some top media that Benzema already accepted the offer from Al Ittihad. It means he will play in Saudi Pro League, he will compete for the title in the same league as Ronaldo. It will be interesting who will be the top scorer in Saudi Pro League in the next season. If Messi also moves to Saudi, there are 3 top players who will be the candidates for the top scorer (Ronaldo, Messi, Benzema).

By the way, I already heard the news that Ramos is likely to move to Saudi but I don't know in which team he will play. But for Messi, I assume it is too many rumors about him. So, it is unclear whether he really wants to move to Saudi or he will join another team in Europa. I also read the news that Messi is possible to return to Barcelona.

Karim Benzema's contract at Al Ittihad will run until June 2025 with an option for another season. So, currently Benzema has officially become an Al Ittihad player. uniquely, Benzema became a rival of his former team-mate while defending Real Madrid, namely Ronaldo. we can be sure, these two players will be rivals and so will the rivalry between Al Ittihad and Al Naasr. Regarding rumors about Ramos, there were rumors that Ramos was rumored to be leaving for Al Nassr. but so far, there has been no official claim as to where Ramos will choose his next club.

On the other hand, a source close to Al Hilal denied a new, better proposal for Leo Messi. they said, that still the same offer on the table that was revealed in april. if, in the end Messi accepted Al Hilal's offer. we can be sure, the Saudi Pro League competition will be quite interesting even though it is filled with star players who have entered the age of 35+. but do not rule out, that this competition will increasingly become the attention of football lovers around the world.

Not to forget, some new rumors report that Al Ahli and Al Shabab have approached Pierre Aubameyang to discuss the possibility of moving to the Saudi League. well, it's not currently the Saudi Pro League being the new trend.

They do not have to make a profit or at least be profitable - if finances allow them (and they obviously do), then they can develop their league even with a loss. As for profits, it is possible that in the future it will be - after all, if the best players play in the league, then the whole world will want to watch TV broadcasts of games and the League will earn huge money (like the Premier League now).

It seems that the goal of the wealthy club owners in the Saudi Pro League to make their league more famous, not better, will become a reality. After successfully bringing in Ronaldo, it has been confirmed that Karim Benzema will go to Al Ittihad and several other players who were also rumored a few months earlier to go to Saudo Pro Liga also seems to be following in Karim Benzema's footsteps, the money they are offering is quite fantastic so for the players it will be very nice to be able to play in a league whose competition schedule is not as busy as in Europe but the pay is bigger because many achievements have been achieved, it's time to start a career with a schedule that is not too tight because of course their energy is not what it used to be.
Of course the main reason for the rich club owners in the Saudi Pro League is to make the Arab league more famous by bringing in star players. It could be that not only two star players (Messi and Benzema) joined C. Ronaldo in the Arab League but it could even be five or six at once like (Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and even Neymar Jr or Sergio Ramos).

Obviously money is not an obstacle for the owners of big Saudi Arabian clubs to pay them-they are double their current salary in European clubs and that will be Saudi Arabia's efforts to promote and advance the football industry there. which indirectly will also make it easier for Saudi Arabia to become the bidding choice for the 2030 FIFA WORLD CUP Host along with Egypt and Greece.
I am sure that in the future there will be many star players who will join the Arab League because the offer of the salary they give is very difficult to refuse

CR7 is an opening for star players to play in the Saudi Arabian league, besides that if the Arab league continues to consistently carry out their plans then their target of making the Arab league one of the best leagues in the world will be achieved

It's not just the salary that matters. European clubs have a habit of mistreating their players. Cristiano Ronaldo was mistreated by Manchester United and now Lionel Messi is being mistreated by Paris Saint-Germain. Given this, it doesn't surprises me that a lot of these players are migrating to the Arab clubs. From what I heard, Al-Hilal has almost finalized their deal with Messi, which will be announced very shortly. There is no confirmation yet, as Messi's wife (Antonela Roccuzzo) is against the idea of shifting her residence to the Arab country.
According to the latest news, the news that Lionel Messi seems to have chosen to return to Barcelona is getting stronger after his father and agent, Jorge Messi, had a meeting with Barcelona president Joan Laporta. Thus, it is almost certain that Lionel Messi will not be anchored to the Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.
and this news had shocked representatives of the Saudi Arabian club, and from Lionel Messi's camp asked Al Hilal to postpone negotiations on a move to the Saudi Arabian League until 2024.

Without any doubt now Arab Leagues are going to be heaven for the many soccer players because they will be able to have good salary and playing conditions also could be better than UEFA even quality is surely not going to like UEFA, but surely we will have good terms for them to give their best from here now it's time for the European clubs to change their mindset if they want to alive like they are having because if they keep things like they are doing with players like Ronaldo and Messi then surely they will be on losing end which they can't afford.

Surely many peoples those are staying in cities like Paris and Barcelona never love to live here in Saudi society but if they want to earn huge then surely they have to accept things like these as well with as now we are having changes here in Saudi Arab under MBS most chances this all be change in next few years as well which could be acceptable for them.
Saudi Arabia pro league is one of the talk about league in the world today, the playing conditions and taxation is best option than Europe, most players are playing football fo the money and not passion and entertainment any more, than before.

Saudi Arabia pro league could be the only option in the future for players, because they has already gained international recognition through Ronaldo , and now Benzema has join the league, this is to prove that in due time, this league will be top league in the world.

best leagues are rated with the kind of players in the league, today, Saudi Arabia pro league has the best footballer in history of football (Ronaldo) in the league, this will attracts more star players before the end of the transfer season

To be honest if im a bit surprising to hear that if aubameyang is getting offers from two clubs in a row. since he has been linked to the barcelona but im sure that if barcelona can't afford him again caused by barcelona may focus to fix its financial problem.

It will be so badly to say that if barcelona will try to sign him. There are two teams who already linked to the aubameyang at this moment.

Glad to see that more stars are coming to this league as soon as possible. im still waiting who will be coming to the saudi arabian league. As far as i know that if wilfried zaha has been also getting an offer from SPL club.

Al-Ittihad are interested in signing Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha
https://footballtoday.com/2023/03/13/al-ittihad-want-crystal-palace-star-wilfried-zaha-9m-yr-deal-offered/

I think that will be so good for SPL to have more and more european players to join in SPL.

It will be pushing the popularity from SPL too. People will be also watching SPL.
