This is the one of the reasons but the main reason is that the low demand of Altcoins and ICOs in which mostly are using the Ethereum platform. ICOs are failing and Altcoins also are panicking making the transactions using Ethereum gas to become low. If this will continue then expect Ethereum price to reach as low as $50 soon.

It is sad to say but it is the reality of ethereum. The primary use of ethereum token is to make a smart contract. The ERC20 TOKEN smart contract helps every project to show an immutable public access. ICO's take advantage of ethereum and most of them are existing not because of the future project but to scam people all over the world. Maybe, it helps for the ethereum to move down since they pull down the price of ethereum and many iCO are made in erc20 smart contract.
If the issue of scamming activities continue without any solution, ICO will die and ethereum reputation may be affected though, ethereum it's self is not a scam coin but those that scam people's ether will tarnish Ethereum reputation!

I think not only ETH was affected but the whole cryptocurrency maybe its not affect directly but it killing crypto slowly , so this should avoided and prohibited .
Factors from the scammer did make the market crumble. ico has cheated and dumped ethereum prices. and this is very detrimental. as we already know that this year there are many ico who cheat and run away

Thus, it does not affect the price of ether in any way. The price of ether may be affected by other scammers. In other words, they are called manipulators. I consider them to be scammers as they manage the market for their own benefit
I don't see that as an excuse to get ETH dip in this market , we can all see that market generally is down even the king itself is down so why so much concern about ETH , oh you have some bag n wondering why you in lost , just hold and wait for market turn around.
I think that it cannot be possible to accumulate scammers on that huge amount to disturb the current price marketcap of ethereum. Because when scammers pretend that their project was very legit, they can undergo for the SEC first which will be busted. But if they succeed. There is just a little amount to be accumulated for sure.
90% of people in crypto space that are scam victims are scammed through ICOs ,this is what is making erc20 ETH looks bad ,smart contracts has become the easiest way for scammers to scam victims ,I hope something will be done about this in the future ,ethereum deserves better
This is for sure, because after the fraudsters successfully implement the scam, they will sell the cryptocurrency they received in exchange for cash! And ETH provides them with convenience!

I think some hackers can affect eth price,because after hacking of exchange they can dump coins.
Also attack 51% can affect market as well
Yes, scammer can affect the price of ETH but the case of 51% attack is definitely different from hacker issue because 51% attack was logic which some coin competitor used in other to steal the show from a coin which seems to be a obstacle for their project success. While, hacking a act played by online theft but it usually affect all coins and the only reason which it can affect a single coin is if the coin was the main target. Also attack 51% can affect market as well

indeed one of the reasons why ETH prices fell because many ICOs were scams, which made investors sell their coins to ETH and cash out, but another cause of ETH price drops is due to falling BTC prices, so that ETH prices also down, because I'm sure if the price of BTC stays at $ 18,000, maybe the price of ETH won't go down very far like what is happening now.
