The issue of Scammers is as old as the cryptocurrency industry. Scammers are always devising new tactics to take advantage of their victims. When a tactic becomes too rampant and people are aware, they move to another more complicated tactic. Its best for all to be on the look out and avoid making rash decisions when ones fund or reputation is at stake.

Scammers don't have to give huge promises anymore, believe me they are among us and they know how smart investors have become too, they always reshape their tactics, now projects don't have to give too good offers because they know people are aware that too good to be real offers are scam, honestly scammers are not idiots

Of course as crypto investors evolved and became smarter, those scammers need to adjust as well.

People keep saying good projects always have good team and brilliant ideas to solve crypto issues, who tell you that scammers can't deliver all this?

And that is the dilemma, it's really hard to know them until it's too late. Many wolves are disguising themselves in sheeps clothing.

Not just smart some of them even graduated in a prestige school and now using their knowledge into something like this, thr crypto space is now flagged with lots of hoax and scamming activity. I wonder why some people never get tired of being scammed by those smart guys. If a project is focusing on sales and promising a lot, then it could be a scam one. Trust the one with product and dont bother about sales but talk about development.

All the scammers believe that they are cleverer than anything.  Grin Tongue They get fooled by the experts  Grin Grin Grin
Mostly they are. They could trick you with their different schemes and strategies, no wonder most of investors and bounty hunters are getting fooled by these scammers lol
Just look at those poor people at bounty sections, they don't really care with scammers as long as it gives something for now.

not something that is really smart, just know its weaknesses and make it attractive to investors in my opinion does not mean smart. sometimes investors make investments because they are in a hurry without more research so that they are easily trapped, if the scammer is really smart then I'm sure in the "scam accusations" board now it will be empty without listing any of the indicated projects
When say smart its mean  they are also use a new idea to scam people,  they are also make a solution so they cant be caught earlier and marked as scam.
More of the scam accusation is only come once the project is failed and many investors involve, before the project proven to be a scam. I mean they have a victim already before members can see that the project is a fraud.

If scammers dedicated all that effort and intelligence to create good projects then I'm sure that the market cap will be many times higher than what we have right now.

But unfortunately they have chosen to use their knowledge and their abilities for evil and since I know that they are smarter than I am the only way that I have to protect myself from losing my money to those people is to never invest again in an ico or an ieo regardless of my wishes to do so.

You are absolutely right. Scammers have been developing along with the market. If they were weak, they would have been stuck somewhere in the past. But, check out today's crypto market, the scammers have developed so much in this regard that we have trouble choosing the good ones. Always need to be careful, we have seen many scam projects that gained people's trust.
It's to be expected that the scammers will become more sneaky and at the same time people are becoming more aware. but see at the positive side nowadays scammer could only scam some people who are really greedy and not those who think using their logic. currently scammers are having a hard time dealing with all the prevention measures applied to most of exchanges like KYC and moreover people are less trusting toward ICO with no legitimacy or approval from the government. though that might hurt the decentralized side a little.

Kind of laughed a bit at that.
Yes!!! Very true. I agree with all of my might.
They can do it all. But remember, there will always be holes and so does legitimate projects.
Now, if you question them about that then, you will see if they are serious with what they are doing.
Scammers wont do that. They are just too greedy they want the money in an instant and dont want to think about it.

If everything is settled they won't care anymore. This is why telegram groups should also be opened to all investors. Ask them anything.

I guess it's part of the evolution, we have grown from putting our money to doing basic research and they have started new ways to scam more. There are still dumb investors and stupid scammers but of course the community has changed now.

Yes it is really a scammer can give it all, yet it is very easy to distinguish scammers with people who are truly knowledgeable about making a real true project. But can not be in the undeniable famous people and well-known projects could have been doing fraud because it was trimmed a problem or did want to take a run out of their money like some dev that runs over their own market and exit scam.

I think one of the criteria to be scammers is that they must be smart. If they are not, how can they deceive their victims?

Scammers see a variety of gaps and opportunities that are the easiest and most interesting to devise a strategy in launching the action. They make schemes that also cover various aspects such as those offered by other legit projects.
In addition, they are also certainly good at marketing strategy so that more and more victims are successfully deceived.
However, how smart are they, how do they prove themselves with their data both on social media and on their community channels?

Not all of them are smart most of them are caught, do check the scam sections, some of them are caught even in a simple thing like including people who has a fake account on Linkedin, yes they do get better and better but there not all of them, it really is safe to just not invest in ICO at all and save all the hassle.

manipulation will always be there and one of them is a scammer who certainly has a way to mess up a free investment system like in this crypto. but I'm sure every investor has a way of distinguishing original projects from fraudulent projects
There's nothing but deep research and luck. As how the OP stated the capabilities of scammers, they are just around studying how to perfectly perform their intentions to runaway with the free money that they'll going to takeaway from victims that will continue to patronize what they've created. The industry have a high risk, without keeping your eyes opened and let your instincts to guide you scammers are everywhere.

they build a website system that tries to make a scam by utilizing traders who are desperate and fed up with market conditions they will offer projects that turned out to be just to influence it to get stuck in the project, trading or investing must be able to be careful.

They are reengineering their tactics of scamming people. Yes, that sounds true and I think that they will recreate something which will attract investors to bite their bait.

With the popularity of staking, I guess they'll go on with it and take the advantage of people who want to invest into staking coins. It requires a certain amount of coin, it's not actually a new technique they have but before investing please research diligently.

That is why some of them would have already executed their projects, finish up with the fundraising and go as far as listing on exchange. At that point, they would have also sold more and the aftermath of it will he an outright effacing.  Even if scammers are proving to know how to scammer, investors are also discovering them.

This is a serious issue facing us all around cryptosphere. We should all be careful when investing in any project cos this days it's quite difficult to dictate a scammed project without thorough research. Scammers are getting wiser each passing day

scamers one of the biggest problems in the digital industry, especially in the cryptoqurrency industry, they know that crypto is a field of money, so scamers always have a way or a gap to run the action here. but I'm sure scamers also have a weak spot and are not fully successful in carrying out all the actions.

The weak spot is that they are not the only smart guys in crypto, someone out there are just busting them away by pointing out their flaws like the plagiarized whitepaper and fake team members which most of them had been reported to have scam accusations. When they are tagged by DT and will try to explain that's when you see they aren't smart after all.  How can a smart scammer upload a picture of a popular celebrity as their team member?

Many new altcoins could be either scams or just bad ideas that are going to fail.  Either way, you have to do your research before investing or you risk losing money.
