gee , that is the popular preference of investors but they didnt know that scammers already infested this preferences .

now what are we going to do now when its almost impossible to detect or to avoid a scam project ? i guess the best possible way to avoid them is to avoid newer ico or simillar kind of investment just to be safe and divert your attention to some verified and 100 percent legit assets like cryptocurrencies ( ex. btc , eth , ltc and alike ) .

It's always the fight between the good and evil. And where there is money involved, larger would be the scams. It's not just in crypto. The thing that makes it easier for them to scam with crypto is their chance of being caught and brought to justice are negligible while they scam using crypto and remaining anonymous. The only way to be sure about a project is actually realizing how fulfiling the promise is and have a look at at-least a demonstration of what the team are capable of.

Of course they are among us. They are not that smart as you think though because they can easily find a job that they don't need to scam investors, just look at the scam accusation threads in the forum to see how many of them are caught. They are probably doing the same thing over and over and still got caught. Some of them are just employing to create their website and ERC token in fiverr too.

Yes, scammers always have a way to do that in their projects with new tactics, even the current trend even scammers can still take the opportunity to deceive people.
It's not that I don't believe in new projects but sometimes new projects lead to scammers and it hurts us after knowing at the end, so scammers always have a strategy to get a lot of smitten with what scammers offer.

I think you are right, some ICO project that look promising, sometime not like what people expect. Maybe in my mind for now is, investor must think like investor, good or not the project, no one force them to make investment. if lose, it is their risk. Maybe like that, because although we warn other people, but sometime they keep do what they think it is good for them.

I think you could avoid this kind of thing in my opinion, we experience and knowledge I think I could say that I can easily track something that is not right in this project.
Surely if you don't want to get scam just do not put your money in risk or in some kind of websites that are not yet trusted by a lot of users,
Also surely a lot of scammers are adjusting since those old scam trick are already compromised so I think it is normal for them to think of other ways.

How else scammers are gonna get their crypto, they need to innovate to get people into their trap. crypto users get scam less as time goes by because of their experience and knowledge, it's not surprising tbh. mostly naive crypto investor will likely to get scammed now because alot of people already experienced hyip, cloud mining and other shit.

Scammers are actually smart else they cannot get even a single penny from anyone's wallet, its we who need to be more smart than scammers. I think with the evolution of IEO scam projects have been controlled a bit but it still need more filtration. As mentioned somewhere in this thread that scammers are now hiring a good team and even investing on their marketing part to lure more and more investors so it is difficult to identify them in the beginning there must developed something to filter such scam projects, the crypto community really needs to do something for it.

They are basically doing social engineering, similar to hacker techniques, and they can be only successful if their victims are less bright then themselves and preferably uneducated.

This is why they try to isolate their victims with pm messages. Scamming is way harder in open forum where there are smarter people around.

And they are getting smarter everyday. They present themselves flawlessly, sometimes they seem even more reliable than a real project.
It's better to know about the project and the people involved beforehand or personally. Anything on the internet cannot be fully trusted.
Even something as regulatory license should be verified and while paying online, you should also be sure you are going through the right channel.
