Hi ShadowCrew,

If anyone wants a really great laugh,
I have created an ANN for comedian Sam Hyde's new SuPeRmOnEy protocol

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-introducing-supermoney-revolutionary-centralized-distribution-structure-1029102

Check out his Youtube vid describing his paradigm shifting new centralized pyramidal distribution structure !

Enjoy

Dont forget to stake...... You make money and help support the network at the same time.  Some community members are staking like bosses. This was posted in slack....someone with 16 pages of staking rewards already

(..)

If 16 pages equals "boss", I wonder what this makes me (and I'm in Shadow only since November):

DASH $ 2.93
LTC $ 1.40
XMR $ 0.68
CRAVE $ 0.48
SDC $ 0.15  Huh

$ 0.15/coin for the best anon in crypto today?

You make the rookie mistake of looking only at the absolute price and ignoring the available supply of coins. For example, there exist more than 10 times as many SDC coins as CRAVE coins, so of course a single CRAVE would be valued higher.

To get a better ranking, multiply the price with the available supply. This is in fact what's done over at http://coinmarketcap.com/, with the resulting "market cap" determining the ranking. A market cap of 1 million for SDC isn't too shabby and way ahead of CRAVE.

Or you could help with anonymization and  take some SDC out of circulation and covert them to tokens

how can you stake better?

^^ Since it works independently from the blockchain, would it maybe be possible to release a Shadowchat client separately?  Some people might be interested in the chat but not the cash system.  Just a thought.

you can download the wallet and use shadowchat without any coins.

True, but having a more lightweight download might still be desirable for some, and would take minimal effort from the dev team to make it happen.  I think its worth looking into.

Thanks for the input.. I think this is a great idea.. It can act as a nice introduction point for many and especially the darknetmarkets. I frequent reddit.com/r/darknetmarkets and I cant tell you how many people I see struggling to adapt to the learning curve of PGP.(Although its pretty straight forward) Many new vendors or just newbs to the market frequently have issues with first getting used to PGP. I see shadow as a chat tool to help bring encrypted messaging to those struggling with the learning curve of PGP in general not just the darknetmarkets. So as a stand alone client it would work great to do this while also gaining traction for the Core Shadow Project by introducing people to Shadow and letting them dabble in this great project to see just what we are really about... the #FightforPrivacy
As long as people are using shadow....Even if it's not the actual monetary portion its still growing the grasp of the project and helping deliver privacy to the people.

Yes. ShadowChat app would appeal to the masses and be the perfect segway into ShadowCash.

÷ 1   this is a great idea from a marketing standpoint As well. Think of all the ppl outside of the "cryptoverse "searching for an encrypted chat app. A free standalone shadowchat app would be marketing gold.

That would be amazing ! I would immediately download it !  Cool

or perhaps a dual-UI? a prefpane for "Chat Mode" and "Full Mode"? Chat Mode would obfuscate all the unnecessary UI elements and organise itself around the chat features instead. It might be easier to create two UI arrangements than two apps since they are intrinsically interwoven. The effect produced would be the same.

All I ask is an iOS shadowchat app Smiley

It might be easier to create two UI arrangements than two apps since they are intrinsically interwoven. The effect produced would be the same. Meketing might be a bit trickier but could be negotiated by describing the app thusly:

The Shadow App - encrypted & anonymous chat and ecash application for iOS and Android.

A splashscreen on first launch prompts for Chat Mode or Full Mode. Just a thought.

Great idea, it could be a good stepping stone into the full blown wallet.

it's p2p

the shadowchain is primarily for transactions.

Thanks for the clarification. Still, the encrypted chat would be a useful client feature for interacting with the other party when sending/receiving SDC.

Sorry for my ignorance, but may I know how the encrypted messages and the "ShadowChat" will be technically realized? If the contents of these communications will be stored in the blockchain for all eternity, then I could certainly see how people would be hesitant to adopt these features, considering that the encryption could somehow be broken in the not-too-distant future. On the other hand, if these communications are p2p only (i.e. between the two parties directly), then SDC would not be needed for them, right? Or am I mistaken?
