Note to Rynomster:

Mate, you may not like it and may not have committed to it in your head yet. But you are the leader of this project, you are the figurehead of it. Laymans, and the professionals in this, and other industries are looking to you now. If you cannot handle that pressure then please, i encourage you to speak about it in your circles and hire or delegate someone from your existing team; competent enough to lead it. The majority want a face, its what most are used to. And to be honest you are one of very few people right now, that can really convey the brilliance and hard work that has gone into this project, so far.
ShadowCash has a massive educating phase to handle and we need you or someone fitting to handle it here soon.

Enjoy your break with your friends. I believe everyone can agree; you deserve it and much more. Despite my opinions, the people want a face. If you cant be it then delegate or hire specifically. Don't be afraid to talk about it within your circles or even here. You actually have plenty of resource at your fingertips here. So i believe you, now, need to start either owning your role, delegating or using funds to hire someone who can. My advice is to look through Satoshi's posts Smiley

As you know, but for people who read this and are inclined to ride my coattails and throw yet another shiv into your side.. i.e skip. I'm not thinking about PR i'm thinking about your technical minded peers, primarily.

I really think that someone from coreteam has benefits of low sdc price...and that is why we have that artificial communication, PR problems

Maybe doesnt have enough sdc, and tries to buy more...or trying to push some big holders to sell

I personally dont sell a single sdc whatever the price is, but definitaley will not buy a single sdc more.before, i was planning to double my sdc

There is someone who dumps when he sees big buy orders, hundreds of sdc non stop he is dumping, who had that much sdc

Are you not pushing it a bit far ? Let's wait and see ! If one dev is a traitor, who cares ? We, the community, will drive this coin to new heigths !

You came to community 2 days ago, and now telling me about new heights without ryno/techno

How will you do it, are you funny or something

STILL: can anyone tell me how many SDC there will be in total ?

Please read the OP and all shall be revealed (;-)

The OP says 6.4 M as a number that could be lowered and that only accounts for POW, not POS. So again, how many SDC will there be ? Smiley

No cap and approx 2% inflation

I have worked with Blake (bitcoinprbuzz) in the past, he offers a great service. Im still waiting for someone from the sdc team to set up a donation address for PR. We could then try to save up for a premium press release.

It looks like a good idea...let's donate for I it

Trollysroyce, soepkip can we get your idea about it...?

Imho it would be best if one of the sdc team members can take a active role in making this happen. We have a small but very strong community that will happily donate for such a PR campaign, it just needs to be set up and managed by the right people. I'd be more then happy to help if the team is to busy. I just feel that its very important the donation address is held by someone the community can really trust, it will result in more people donating.

Here are some other ideas that could help create more awareness for shadowcash.

- setting up a thunderclap campaign (costs ~100USD) with very big results.
- creating a promotional video for sdc (animated video with voice over) ~3000USD. I know the guy that made the video for Checkcoin (http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kToYtxFbXMY) he can make something simular for sdc in 1-2 weeks.
- using bitcoinprbuzz services to shoot a well written press release to some well known websites and media outlets.

If anyone has any other ideas please share them here. We can make a list and set up a threat on shadowtalk.org, this way people will know what they are donating for.

To be honest, i really doubt if core team wants PR for shadow???

Up to now, we didnt have any serious PR. they were keep on saying not yet, it is early.

Hopefully, they agree with this idea and we have it come true

Interesting post on front page of /r/bitcoin: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2r07hu/whats_happening_with_stealth_addresses/

Some are talking about ShadowCash, and Peter Todd is commenting telling us he will expose how stealth addresses are bad.  I wasn't sure, but I thought I heard something about how Shadow uses stealth addresses along with ShadowChat, which helps fix some of the weaknesses in stealth addresses brought up by Adam Back and others?  Can somebody clarify?

I think you are mixing to much into it. Bitcoin and steal addresses as a solution alone is not sufficient in the context they are speaking about. ShadowCash uses its unique stealth addresses as one of a few layers.

Peter Todd invented stealth addresses. From the reddit thread:

Quote
"Yeah, those concerns and proposed solutions need a pretty detailed reply - it's obvious he's never actually thought through how they'd look in practice from the user's point of view, which rather frustrates me..."

Looks like he'll be making a response to Adam Back's concerns.

Nice to see Shadow getting a mention (and a little love) on /r/Bitcoin though - it's isn't often that a post about an alt doesn't get downvoted to hell there.  Smiley

My wallet is no longer syncing properly, seems like it has forked or something and finding blocks all on its own. Says network weight is only 2060. It usually says out of sync.  Or sometimes it says it is synced, but I really don't think it is. I guess I will just try to redownload the blockchain, anyone have any advice?  Huh

Here's an interesting quote from Peter Todd in the comment section of that reddit post.
Quote
"They've been held up by a bunch of annoying politics; unfortunately right now Bitcoin is a system where you have to ask permission to innovate."

This is a good example of why projects like ShadowCash get started and where innovation is really happening in the crypto space atm (within a few solid altcoin development teams)

Hellllpppp.... Sad

Given the unusual persistence of ur problem Id suggest u join in on IRC (see OP for details) for some support.

Make sure you are running 1.3.0.6 (see shadow.cash) and that ur PC's firewall settings are not upsetting things.

Version is correct, I have allowed the shadowcash wallet through firewall. I am going on IRC then ! Thx for the advice !
did you download the bootstrap file bro with the wallet, you probably did just asking.

I have no SDC. I accept your gift with pleasure. I'll go on ship tomorrow ! Btw: code for shadowcash is SDC, right ?
Another question: how many total coins will there be ?
One last question: how is it that your market cap is only 450 k ? We definitely need more PR ! And I know exactly what you need Wink I'll post link tomorrow !
