OMFG LOL

A very good representation of what anyone does when they are being DDoSed.

Just because you own or represent something, doesn't make you a God.

Look Micon, I want to know why you have a mom and pop TV.

Upgrade that shit and make a video about it.

This should be #1 priority.

Ty sir!

(last video was funny but I need my pokers now)

I think I have tweeted a pic of the opposite wall of the office before, it's a 30" monitor next to a 21" monitor vertical for the design station, DonkDown radio mac into a 21" monitor with mixerboard and mics, and a 42" LCD on the wall for either football, 3rd monitor, or mac output 2nd monitor.   That TV was my wife's that she insisted on taking with us (she transported it from GA circa 2007 lol) and it's sat there unplugged since we moved in here.  Everyone pictures me watching football on it or something, but they never think, wait, he's staring at his webcam, i.e. staring at his monitor, why would he want to turn totally around 180 degrees to watch football?

Damn that is like my setup and I figured that actually.

It really is just funny though, I guess people expect to see you in a mansion throwing BTC on your titties.

Micon, surely there has to be an eta.  If your techniques don't work, what is the course of action for us getting refunds?

very good question.

I expect us to install a layer today to defeat the DDoS.  If we were to be unable to restore the site in the next 48 hours I personally would start pushing the team for a manual withdraw system.  We have all data, simply cannot offer a service at this time.

Can you stop trolling?  I'm just trying to get information here.  All you do is post comments on other people's posts.  It's childish, and half of them don't make any sense.

Maybe you should ask less stupid questions and let them work on it.

You might as well be asking this question to the attacker.

There are people claiming responsibility for the DDoS attack, yet Seals does not respond to them.  I just don't understand any of this

1)  it's pointless to engage a guy saying they are attacking because:

1a)  we should have technology to auto-fight it off anyway, or they'll just keep doing it

and

1b)  the guy could be lying, so now you are just engaging a troll

so negotiating with terrorists or pseudo-terrorists is clearly off the table, the only real solution is:

2)  develop technology to fix that shit ASAP at all costs

we are executing #2 at this time.  it's taking a lot longer than we expected.  no ETA, but note we are going HAM on it until it's fixed.

The only people who respond to a DDoS attacker is the FED, it is pointless for anyone else to respond.

Giving the attacker attention is a no no.

The no updates, and the moving of my btc in my account is what's worrying me.  They haven't transferred any of my btc out of my wallet without my personal request since I started playing here.  Why now?

I had nothing to worry about yesterday morning.  This is turning serious.  What if they can never get it under control?  What happens then?  What if they can't afford professional help, and they have no other option but to abandon the site?  None of these questions have been answered.  An update of "we are fighting the attack still" is not good enough for me.

I don't really know how their depo/withdrawal system works. But I assume that your deposit address is not actually your balance on Seals. I assume they move the bitcoins from most deposit addresses to their "protected cold wallets" from time to time. I assume that the transaction you are seeing is a transaction to one of their cold wallets. And I assume that you have nothing to worry about Wink

Mm ok, but they did manage to protect SpamHaus against that 100-300Gbps DDoS attack ? Perhaps they are not good against the "average DDoS attack", if there is something like that :p

Anyway, what I especially meant, is that I think that Seals doesn't really use them since their IP is open in public.

edit: actually I think CloudFlare is even just focused on HTTP(S) traffic, so wouldn't be used for pokerserver traffic anyway.

But I really would hope they are creating a good method them self for this attack or at least using a higher level up company vs CloudFlare.

CloudFlare is useful for baby attacks and other stuff, but it seems they are being hit very hard.
Per definition CloudFlare is very good against DDoS attacks, IMO. They have migrated very big attacks ( http://blog.cloudflare.com/the-ddos-that-almost-broke-the-internet )

It's just that I think Seals doesn't really use them for DDoS protection. The IP server of the Seals poker server is open in public used in the clients, so no need to DDoS cloudflare, they would just DDoS the Seals server directly. If they would 100% use CloudFlare's 200$ a month extra DDoS protection, I think that would help.

Then again, I am not expert on server level :p I just use the Free cloudflare service for simple first level protection against spam bots and caching images on my sites :p (which do not really need DDoS protection anyway)

Check any reviews on CloudFlare you will see they are good for baby attacks, even the paid for service isn't much better.

The definition of big and baby vary, but many people agree that CloudFlare is shit when it comes to real DDoS attacks.
