Negative feedbacks carried me to who I am today in bitcointalk, so don’t be discourage, be positive, and continue to grow, to show your glow in this community.

This is one of the best message I would say for the newbies and for those who are struggling to get a grip in this forum.

Everything is in the mind! Be in it;s control, don't let it to control you.

I have never regretted knowing bitcointalk. I had visited this site several years back, 2013 to 2014 to be precise. Never took notice of what was going here till one day, recently I read how to fix my Wallet through this forum. Since then, I am filled with peace on how competent I have become from learning here.

My journey on Bitcointalk

To: Newbies & feeling Newbies,

You might have read many positive feedbacks about how smooth other members started here, but mine is different, it is hard to start as a newbie; people will reject you and say something bad to you even if you know you’re not that person or that member. I joined many services to help me boost my idea about quality post and their thoughts about me, but I got rejected and even worst called me “a merit whore”. It affects me a lot because I know I am not that person, so, I just improved myself to show them I am different. The mindset of “some” high ranks is that newbies are here to rank up and join campaign(s) or bounties, which greatly distress those who are really into bitcoin & crypto. I cannot blame them why they judge newbies like that, they don’t know who we really are in-person, and what our motivations in joining bitcointalk are, shitposters are to blame.  I respect their opinions; it made me more motivated to do my research, learn more about cryptocurrency, and improved your English (at least people can understand you).

I am saying these negative things because in reality, you get rejected or you rejected someone, and not all in your life is full of positive feedbacks. It is up to you on how you would convert your negative feedbacks to motivations. Always remember in life, that 10% is what happened to us, and 90% is how we react to it (Dennis P. Kimbro). There is no easy way or a continuous positive path; you just need to earn it.

Negative feedbacks carried me to who I am today in bitcointalk, so don’t be discourage, be positive, and continue to grow, to show your glow in this community. I thank those people who rejected me and those people who do not like me as well, because they help me in a different way to become a better bitcointalk member. Sometimes those people who are a bit of a cunt, mostly help people, so don’t judge them- learn from them.

To help our community, kindly do your research before starting a new topic.

Forum is a place to relax and earn more knowledge after a busy day at work or business. Enjoy.

Regards,

theyoungmillionaire

Yes, good post. You can see that you worked! Since the introduction of the MERIT forum has become much cleaner and you can find a lot of useful information! Spending the morning with a cup of coffee, you open a section and find out for yourself a new one! And so every morning!
Not sure if you are happy or frustrated but seriously you need to stop spamming...

Here is a snapshot of your post history, it's not so impressive. I reported some. You need to stop spamming before getting banned.

...read all the topics listed here and then share your knowledge that would be as much precious as these topics.
If it helps a little bit to someone to digest even a bit of the information listed here, I am happy.

Great topic with a great list of useful stuff. It would also be very helpful for newbies asking how to get merit: read all the topics listed here and then share your knowledge that would be as much precious as these topics.

It was very great to see one of my fellow Indonesian to be on your list.
Husna QA done really well on the tutorials. The topic is a masterpiece for me.

I guess you misunderstood the goal of this thread. These are the collection of knowledge-base which improved my personal skills for good. All these would not be possible if I would not join the forum. I am interested to hear yours too.

It was very great to see one of my fellow Indonesian to be on your list. Btw you should add the general threads in this list, such as https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/general-how-to-earn-bitcoins-1629118 or https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/the-bitcoins-earning-guide-for-poor-countries-1263461.

We are Bitcoin!
I understand different people have different purpose before they make a decision to do anything. My younger brother first invited me on BitcoinTalk as I have huge interests in crypto space. First few weeks were nothing special for me since I can have any information now a days from google search. But as the days were going my realisations were getting stronger that I am really learning some stuffs which I may never had any clue whatsoever, even to go for searching it. I would never encountered the topics like how to sign a message or even what is BBCode type lessons.

They say, if you hangup with 5 millionaires, you will be the sixth. You can not measure everything with money. I am here talking about knowledge and skills for life.

Here are an ongoing list of topics that benefited me to learn new skills (thanks to the BitcoinTalk community):
How to sign a Bitcoin address to prove ownership (archive): Thanks to shorena for the awesome tutorial.
How to sign an ETH address: Thanks to hilariousandco
PGP/GPG Signed Message - Public Key (archive): I could not find an English version of the lessons however I ended up discovering The tutorial in a local board (Indonesian). I had to use google translator to understand the contents. You need to use google translator1. Thanks to Husna QA for the brilliant effort.
Knowing about BBCode and learning it's use (archive): Thanks to roslinpl for the well presented topic.
Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] (archive): I am still trying to get a grip on this. Thanks to samr7 for the resources.
How a feature can change the entire game of getting publicity: I am talking about BitcoinTalk signature space feature and idea of using it as signature campaign. I am a marketing guy, it helps me to identify strategies - specially marketing strategies.
Satoshi's own written topics/conversations: It's an exciting experience reading something satoshi himself typed.
...more will be added as I discover and learn.

| The BCT PGP/GPG Public Key Database: Stake Your PGP Key Here: Honorable mention. |

We see all these bounty hunting, easy money making, shit posting, spamming, scamming in the forum. It gives a negative impression to the visitors. But isn't it true, for the knowledge seekers (about bitcoin, crypto space, Blockchain technology) this place still is a heaven? FREE knowledge for life!

Let the conversation keep going... I would like to hear about your personal developments.

Update:
1 Inspired from other members and seeing all these educational materials I decided to create the English version of PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint <== Feel free to review. Hope it helps the community.
