I think this is the worst idea now to sell altcoins. they eventually grow up well in the same way. but how many more will continue the pump BTC nobody knows. maybe it will soon end and continue to grow altcoins
Bad idea. Best of all hold a big part in bitcoin and small part in altcoins. Since bitcoin will reach a certain point and will not be able to go further.
Yes you are right. I think from now on, only a few of coins will manage to increase in prices, and the rest coins will dump or may not increase in price in proportion with the few coins. List of the few coins that get increased in price in the future is bitcoin, ethereum, binance coin, monery, litecoin, NEO. Among them, BNB will break all records.
Most investors always prefer to hold BTC, but let's not forget that some of these Altcoins we have today will turn to be a giant in the nearest future when everything is back to normal. So I'm not in support of selling all Alts for bitcoin.
Selling all of your altcoins won't bring you a guaranteed profit. You must choose your altcoins.
If you have some good altcoins, why bother to sell it ? just hold it, for example bnb coin.

Indeed, bitcoin is good investment place in crypto world so far but it doesn't mean altcoin is not good to be use as investment place.

if so, sell all the altcoins you have and invest in bitcoin and ethereum. this won't be wrong, now that ethereum and bitcoin are experiencing a small decline. this is the right time. It's your choice because it's your money and no one can decide for you, but for me if i have a lot of altcoins i will sell some for bitcoin and will just hold bitcoin, eth and bnb for long-term.
it can be done by anyone. where everyone asks for the opinions of others to make decisions. it's natural especially for those who just started investing.I sell some of my altcoins and hold more bitcoins, that's normal because bitcoin growth is better now. for the long term who knows the future?

About Waves, i don't see a significant rising price and it is better to change them to other coins.

After a long bear market, I noticed these trends.
1) Bitcoin pump, will result to good increase of value compared to all altcoins.
2) Major and popular altcoins pump together with bitcoin.
3) Small and not popular altcoins will pump together with major altcoins and bitcon.
I think we haven't seen the number 2 yet, so it's a good decision to focus first on bitcoin.
It's your choice because it's your money and no one can decide for you, but for me if i have a lot of altcoins i will sell some for bitcoin and will just hold bitcoin, eth and bnb for long-term.
It is better not to put all the eggs in one basket. I would prefer to have not only bitcoin but also several alternative cryptocurrencies that have the potential and in which I am more or less confident. At the moment I do not hold only bitcoin. That and all advise. So you can at least a little to insure themselves and make a profit if altcoin will make more to the cost

I think its a good idea to sell some altcoins to buy bitcoin because it seems as if bitcoin is the only coin experiencing the current bullrun. I am not happy with the price of altcoins now because its not encouraging.
There is no need to sell your alts for btc because alts period to increase in price will also come then maybe you won't be able to buy at low price when you sell all your alts just to ride btc price increase, besides not all alts are stagnant, some few alts are climbing alongside btc, ti may not be as high as btc but few are doing have increase this few days, am hodling my alts as firm as i could.
I see no reason to sell my top Altcoins for Bitcoin. If I wanted to invest in Bitcoin, I would have done so. But this transfer from one coin to another is not for me.
Honestly dumb question. There are a bunch of altcoins DAILY that make 4X times the profit of bitcoin that same day even on bear markets. It's just a matter of knowing the crypto market and researching but i guess you are just a casual trader with top 5 alts and that's it.
If you do want to learn about the market check daily cmc top 100 and the next page too, check twitter, talk with telegrams groups, see the exchanges available, lack of pairs in exchange ? use Switch.ag trade between alts. Want to use your btc? learn about wbtc. For the rest is just binance and the top tokens which everybody knows about this now.

I would venture to sell all my altcoins to buy Bitcoin because this is probably a better deal and it’s more likely that you can make more money as Bitcoin is now growing very well.
I agree a good investment is all right and true but you need to take into account the fact that you must have at least some experience with Bitcoin and generally in the world of cryptocurrencies because it is not so simple

I bought altcoins a while back. Example coins such as waves and powerledger. I also have bitcoin cash from the fork etc.
I bought altcoins back then thinking hey if btc goes up, altcoins will go up more. Of all the altcoins i ever bought, not one altcoin I have is higher than the current price i bought it at. Every coin i bought whether it was the huge bull run or before it, such as waves, I'm down money. Well technically not down as most of these coins, i just hold. I did sell some though. The only coin i did buy that is up now is litecoin... but i have none of that now because i sold those a while back. That's right the one altcoin i sold would be in profit now.
Also if you look at the prices with bitcoin, its like many of the altcoins i hold, they are not even going up compared to bitcoin at all. They are either same price or dropping. Does anyone here think its best to sell all your altcoins for btc? I heard tons of things about waves. Yet nothing happening to the price except going down.
Also when i say altcoins, i know it means every other coin but bitcoin. But i mean specifically like those altcoins that are not in the top 20. I mean when you look at ETH, bitcoin cash, litecoin, i think these are legit as prices correlate to btc price. But if you look at those altcoins especially that is not in top 50 for example, many prices have dropped. I bought coins where price is still down 90% or so.
Now if you say yes, what about bitcoin cash? Or say bitcoin sv or bitcoin gold?
Because the more i think about it, if cryptocurrency goes up very high, well it seems like there's only a few coins only that could do that? Thus bitcoin, litecoin, eth, bitcoin cash, dash, monero or say bitcoin sv? I heard ripple is centralized so can't imagine it being the standard. I mean if there were only 3 coins left... what would that list have to be? I would figure its bitcoin, bitcoin cash and litecoin. If i had to include a few more, probably ETH and Dash.
I back then also wanted to get coins like funfair, edgeless and a few other altcoins. But now when i look at it, isn't it basically throwing money away? I think if i were to buy more crypto now, the only coin i would buy is bitcoin, litecoin or bitcoin cash. Maybe dash and monero. .
Thoughts on all of this?
in this situation will be ok to send because the Bitcoin value is very very expensive now so you can invest in it we can get huge profit after sometime so that only I can sell now otherwise it is also a risky decision. Altcoin index is on the low level of historical graphic, I predict a new cash flow towards the alternative cryptocurrencies this year. Hope the price of BTC will be stable for few years and I will own more BTC with trading the altcoins. Bitcoin price will trigger the $50000 in a year, but altcoins will stay here for a long time.
