If our investment is developing then I don't do I like this because I know my value is going on so I do not convert my investment to Bitcoin for getting huge profit because sometimes it may give the loss also.

if you invest in altcoin popular or among the top 10 in CMC I don't think you need to worry about them, I'm sure that among them it won't make you lose big. but if you invest in altcoins that don't have price developments, it's very risky. but for the convenience of your money, I think you need to invest with bitcoin.
what you say is true if all depends on what altcoin we have because there are many pretty good altcoins that are even better held in the near future than Bitcoin. so if we feel our coins are good enough, we don't need to exchange them for bitcoin or any coins.

Altcoins are more volatile, because they have lower capitalisation. But you shouldn't forget about your original purpose of holding bitcoin. It is something like increasing amount of bitcoin

I think the time to sell all altcoins for Bitcoin is when BTC has bottomed in $ price. When it starts growing, that is when everybody sells the alts for BTC and you want to time the markets and be the first.
After a massive BTC surge, there usually comes the altcoins season and money start flocking back to alts.

maybe this question is something common among traders
"Do I have to sell my altcoin to get bitcoin?"
in my opinion rising and falling prices is something normal, why?
cryptocurrency as well as goods, if there are many people who need it and the less or difficult the cryptocurrency is obtained then the price will rise
at the moment bitcoin almost reaches its supply limit. now many people are interested in bitcoin so the possibility of bitcoin is very suitable for long-term investment, we can get a big profit when bitcoin is mined
but will our money grow if we save our assets in bitcoin?
in my opinion NO, why?
we will indeed benefit from the increase in the price of bitcoin to fiat but the value of our bitcoin assets does not change.
now in my opinion the best decision is to do short trading and take profits in bitcoin instead of fiat, so while waiting for the moment where bitcoin reaches ATH our assets will continue to grow

It was a good advice a while ago, but now better hold your alts. Look, today Neo showed big growth, ripple is rebouncing, so other alts are ready to the moon!
Pick something out of top 30 and that's it!
Yes holding our alts was the best way for now, Actually we can trade our alts also in not time or if we want to. But if the we hold is a shitcoins must better to sell them all and chage to bitcoin. And thats true alts are going to moon so hold a little bit and wait.
Shitcoin is nothing but taking the risk of your money, who knows things will happen and miracle will bring this shit into gold giving more
profits same a like with pumped and dumped project where pumpers has its own way to pushed the project up.

I would not sell all the Altcoins, and would leave without myself a few top investments for a long term, and of course, I would put the right decision in the second half or more than half of Bitcoin on me.

I would suggest to hold 50 % of your investment in Bitcoin and the other 50 % in different promising altcoins. I have invested now a small amount of BTC in some altcoins again.

This os very true and I'm experiencing similar situation. Somewhere last year, I invested in crypto and divrsified my investment by paying some altcoins like cardano and verge. I just wish I left all my investment in btc.

If indeed we see the price of bitcoin has a greater potential increase, usually we sell altcoin assets and divert to bitcoin. this has been done by many traders because when the increase in bitcoin occurs the altcoin price mostly decreases and it is also big.

yes why not ? i always sell my altcoin for bitcoins and then i cash out my bitcoins or i traded them with fiats  . you cant instanty cash out your alts so you need to convert them with bitcoin first  but if your alts are not mature yet then there is no way to sell them .

it also depend on what alt you hodl because some alts works poorly while some alts performs better this alts should be kept and if you want btc then you can just buy btc seperately its a wiser move to save fees  if you are an investor  .

Moving all assets to one currency as it will always have a chance that one currency to dump. As such what you did is correct and, I think that what you should do is just add more assets to the ones that you currently have instead of moving all of it to BTC.
Choosing bitcoin is actually also an election error for investment. when the increase has been seen usually altcoin has also experienced a large decline as well.

According to statistics, it is usually better just to hold Bitcoin than buying altcoins - only few of them grew in pair with Bitcoin, like Binance coin and Chainlink.

swaps from alt to btc are now an alternative for investors to look for quick profits. Slow alt growth is one reason investors choose this step. I'm sure if  BTC price reaches above 15K this practice will be over, and that's when Alt will grow and take a long rallied pursue a price deficit.

As per my opinion, it is not a good idea to sell all altcoins now for bitcoin as when bitcoin stabilize anywhere, then altcoins start their run and you get more bitcoin value after sell them. Not all but many altcoins will give huge value creation in near future.

The reason why this post was created is mainly because altcoins are not surging in price like bitcoin but you have forgotten that we have altcoins seasons separately and bitcoin always be the first one to rally up before the arrival of altcoins season ,my suggestion will be to hold on ,altcoins brings better profits than bitcoin

If you choose bitcoin over altcoins for investing, that's not bad at all but there are lots of altcoins which increasing silently like ethereum which now over $300 from $200 so I think if in my case I would regret selling all my altcoins for bitcoin because you can also earn big profits by investing other altcoins which has a good potential so it would be best if you just choose an altcoins wisely by selling it for bitcoin.
