trading bitcoins or altcoins is becoming very hard and unpredictable whether Short Term or Long Term the result is almost the same with which ever strategy you choose to go with, that is the reason why alts that promise to pay an interest for holding coins are starting to bare fruit and imo is the best way solution for a decent ROI.

I don't really know what kind of trading term I should take,
But if I do have a huge capital I would prefer the long term trading but since I only have the small amount I would try the short term,
So I could see my profit in just a few hours or day.

For me both type are working well in terms of bitcoin so it depends on your economy if you can save your money for longer time then keep it in bitcoin you will get mote benefit and if you cannot keep for longer then relying on the fluctuations you can buy and sell for short term. while in altcoin I will say you g only for short term.

For me, Try the same method if you know the coin has a potential to get high value on long term try to hold it and bring extra capital for the short term method or Day trading.
Example you have 1Btc in tour wallet.
use 0.5btc for long term method and use 0.5btc for Day trading method it gives you a huge profit or Sell the coins you holding if you know that theres a retracement or a rebuy and buy it again when the prive has decreased.
to me everyone  have their own choice but to me i think long term investment has more advantages as compare to short term investment. in short term investment there is always risk of losing money, but in long term investment there are more chances to make money instead of losing your own money.
I agree with you. It's better to have a long term investment that short term investment. Long term investment comes with more benefits for you and you'll be sure enought that in the future you'll be secure than short term invesment that yes can give you earning but you don't know anytime you'll lose it.
in fact the price of bitcoin is trading too high, therefore to me i think long term investment will be more profitable. and specially if you do not have any experience in short term investment, then you do not need to take risk and should try to invest your money for long time, as long term investment is less risky as compare to short term investment.

It all depends upon the time you are able to spend online, you need patience if you are going to trade on a daily basis and you have to study the market carefully and as long as the market is bullish you will end up in a profit if you are doing day trading but always have an idea about how the coin will peak out and when we can expect a bear rally in the coin. I am holding some coins for the long term while i am having a good bank roll for day trading which i am multiplying faster than the long term investments.

It is upto the traders way of trading which suits them, but i do some coins for long term and some for short term, as i am seeing that some coins are very good for daily trading as the price fluctuation is high

Personally I'm a lazy person and I don't really like to dig on things too much except for things that I do really like. Bitcoin, though I amreally fascinated by it, I easily get annoyed by shorting and I sometimes lose money, thinking that it isn't worth my time or effort.Tbh, this is the first time that I've seen an asset to gain value faster than any other commodities in this world, which gave me hope to do passive wealth building. I like to hold on for the long term since I won't even bother checking the price every so often but likes on peeking onto it whenever it increased dramatically.

Both type of trading have their perks, with long term you may end up with bigger margin of profit, but you have to be very patient for that, and in short term, you see growing your investment every day even though by a small amount.
But how do you prefer to trade? Especially when trading alts. Do you go with good potential coins and long term investment so you can only cash in when you get to a desired level of profit?
Or do you prefer day trading and go with whichever coin suits on the day.
And what is according to you best practice?
I divide into short trading and long term depend on what coin we're talking about.
We know there are some coins which has shown significant increase within months or years, has been around for years and still growing, then it could be hold for long term. And other coins, brand new and always fluctuate for short term obviously.

i should add that the definition of "short-term" and "long-term" needs to be clear. for example you may invest in an altcoin and hold it for a couple of weeks and call it a long term investment. and that can be true and profitable for you.
or you can call that short term investment compared to holding bitcoin for months or years.
No. The Short-term and long-term are denoting seasons/trends/rally/sentiments. If you are entering into an altcoin and finishing of selling it within one "rally", you made a short term trade.

We are getting one news like bitcoin etf, cryptos see some rally, that is one trend. All the trades made within that trend should be considered as short-term. After etf rally prices found downfall due to bitfinex and scalability issues. This was another trend (but fall down trend).

Long term trades are dealing with many trends. In between time you may face negative price movements too. For example those who bought bitcoins by last Christmas might have experienced many ups and downs. But finally now they got chances to book at least $500 profits per one bitcoin trading. This must be long term.

For me it is better to go for short term rather than long term because we all know that the cryptocurrencies has its own price volatility so it will be easy for a short term trader to gain profits faster than long term trader. I see a lot of movement from the different exchangers and that is what a trader should take advantage to make a profit.
If you are preferring only short-term trading plans, I believe you must stick only with altcoins trading. Bitcoin trading also might be getting you profits in short-term, but the benefit you will be getting in long-term will be multifold than what you will be getting from short-term trading.

I have watched most of the altcoins are getting dumped over time hence I'm not finding long term basis altcoin is profitable.

In summary, bitcoin trading will be working perfect in both short-term and long-term trading but all other crypto currency trading doing good only in short-term as far as I have observed.

If I have small capital, I will invest long term and if I have large capital I will invest short term because with the small capital, choose long-term investment is a good way to x2 or x3 capital in the future, but if they choose short-term investment, profit is very low and sometimes they may lose money if they choose the wrong place to invest. Short term investment is only suitable for those with large capital, just a small difference in price can also bring them a good profit. However, this is only my opinion, each person will have different reasons and choices

Short term if managed correctly can out profit the long term.  If the one doing short term keeps on taking advantage of fluctuation and is very successful with it, then he can multiply his holding, and will definitely beat the one who is holding his coin in long term.

Hmm, that's true. Because it all depends on the way we think and ingenuity in seeing an opportunity, when we are smart in taking chances then a short term is not a problem. Because what we are looking for is not about short-term or short-term, but how we can take advantage of an opportunity. One more thing, when you want to make a profit then all you have to do is be able to understand and understand how a plot or future something is currently happening. For if it can not do it, then it is quite difficult to make a profit

In trading I prefer short-term investments. Because by choosing a short-term investment then I can earn income every time. I need money to live, so I will not wait long for money. Each person must have a different opinion. And I choose short-term investments as the top choice.

Trade requires only 3 things: business mindset, money, and strategy (short term or long term). For me, short-term or long-term options are made based on market movement analysis decisions. If we make the wrong choice then only the losses will be obtained and it is a big mistake. Improve analytical skills both technically and fundamentally to determine the strategy to be used, but practice and failures are our friends. Be careful in making choices because it will determine our results.

Most of the small scale bitcoin holders prefer long term holding. The reason is that only on holding specific time period user can profit high, but with big investors even with the minor fluctuations people earn good profit because from each coin a earn a small profit.

There can give you both profit actually, but if you are a typical type of a traders who wants to earn bitcoin more 100%, much better for you to go for a long terms to hold. This is already proven and many or some of the members or community can testify it, those are the bitcoin enthusiast who bought bitcoin when it was 200$ before and now they are harvesting their fruit of their labor for being patience as well.
