I think the best is short term trade. You can make low profit everyday, but it's more secure, when you see the price isn't going in a good direction you can sell it fast and have a low loss that can be got back soon.
On long term trade you can have a big loss and it will be harder to get back the money you lost... The chance to see it working is lower.

For bitcoin i take it for long term because it has potential and few years has been passed but its still going stronger and like a digital gold. for altcoins i go for short term and i have to monitor it daily for changes of value, the income is not big but good enough.

Both type of trading have their perks, with long term you may end up with bigger margin of profit, but you have to be very patient for that, and in short term, you see growing your investment every day even though by a small amount.
But how do you prefer to trade? Especially when trading alts. Do you go with good potential coins and long term investment so you can only cash in when you get to a desired level of profit?
Or do you prefer day trading and go with whichever coin suits on the day.
And what is according to you best practice?

How do you know that short term trading will give you consistent profit every month? There will be times that you will not get anything from the market. If you are a skillful trader then maybe short term trading is for you. For the rest of us, it is safer to do long term investing.

At first I did short term but when I noticed that almost all of the coins listed on coinmarketcap(top20) seem to go up when you analyze it in a long term basis, I decided to go long term.

if you altcoin trading is good youre trading system use shor term every day take profit
because altcoin price flutuactive is very high in every day
Yes altcoin trading is one of the best platform to make profit because it is very easy for you to make profit with that by just having a good amount of capital and having a good knowledge about altcoin trading. You can easily earn up to 10% if you do altcoin trading everyday and that is a lot way better than any investment site.

For me not a good choice to go in day trading is much risky for me base in my experience much better to get a desire set of margin  and try to make a 4 tier from 8% to 50% set of margin once the price was increase you can sell sample 15% of your bitcoin or altcoin and then if it will increase more you can sell the 30% and if the price will increase more the last tier can sell all of your bitcoin and gain the profit wait again to see the price will low.. buy again..

This method works well in my own i just heard this method by basic from someone who doing it in forex i just applied it in crypto currency. just follow the trends and i think the top 20 altcoin in bitcoinwisdom are a good altcoin to hold..

I'd like to go with both, Actually, to long the altcoin need a lot of analyzation. I mean the project with a definite roadmap, Expert team, and big community can be determined as long altcoin, In this way, you can call them a long-term investment.
Too short altcoin is very risky, It can get dumped just in a second and you will get stuck on that price.
Too short altcoin will be worthed with a low amount.
i think it is not such an easy job to manage both short term as well as long term investment.because both short term and long term investment have different strategies. as some people have good experience on short term investment, while other people have long term investment. to me my personal experience is in long term investment as i most invest my money fro long term investment.

There's no doubt, while we're talking about the best source of income which must be safe, reliable then long term will come first. However, one thing is sure, Bitcoins is the best investment. Anyone love at the moment while passing the good time of Bitcoin, so stay safe and just invest in buying Bitcoins in the long run.
Probably can be carried to a small amendment, because every person not only loves the time when Bitcoin comes, namely the finances that he brings. I had never heard about this currency before, but I'm glad today that I'm in this Bitcoin society.

Bitcoin – long-term investment/trading for sure. Alternative coins – Most of the times, short-term investment. Long-term investments in  altcoins depends on how good that altcoin really is, other than that, none of the altcoins are worth long-term investing, for me.

I, too, do not consider alternative coins as long-term investments. But some of them are good as short-term assets.
Bitcoin is good in both long-term and short-term investments

Well I think depend on the trend of price, if trend of price is increasing will be long term investments
because the price will be more increasing but if the trend of price is decreasing will be short term
because the price will be more decreasing, but everything depend on the method of trading from traders
that gives good profit from every trading activities.

For me, I prefer long-term trading because with bigger margin of profit. That will make a lot of profit for me. In addition I chose a long-term trading because I have busy, so can not always look at the market. Moreover, holding long-term bitcoins it will be very profitable. If altcoin, I only choose some altcoin that has good potential in the future so it can be profitable if in the long-term. I've also tried daily trading, but the profit I get is small and even has to take a loss. Maybe for me long-term trading is best practice.

HODLing is an art, not just a word...

as a bitcoin Hodler my answer is obvious. HODL bitcoin and have a happy life Wink
i have bought bitcoin back in 2014ish when price was $400 and it fell down to $300 then $200 and i was still hodling and buying and then buying some more. then it started rising from $200 to $300 and so on and i was still buying and hodling and buying some more.
to this day i am still buying whenever i have money, it doesn't matter what the price is, tomorrow it will be higher and that's my moto. and for the past years i don't have a single regret and am a lot richer. and will continue to do the same to be even more richer lol.

and as for altcoin trading. it is all good and happy while the market is in full bull mode and all the alts are pumping. but when it stops being good it starts getting ugly and does it pretty fast.
it's all about the experience you gain in trading altcoins. watch the charts a lot. watch the live market. i even say stare at monitor for hours, you will learn a lot. specially during pumps and again during dumps.

Actually, when trading altcoin it is really much profitable to buy then hold it in a long term. Although short term also was good one to gain it but there is risk involved anyway.

Because of work, I do not have time to do day trading. So I normally go for long term investment on bitcoin and altcoin. But to do this, you have to do a lot of reading and research on the coins you want to invest. Fortunately, I can do that on my free time.
Great balance, that is true that long term investment is good for the people who are looking for a profit but not only small or decent but huge profits. Research is always applied in any kind of investment or buying scenario especially in bitcoin and also altcoin because in altcoin you can find a lot of coins out there but only few of them are profitable so you need to do research to find out and buy that coin and hold it for long term and expect huge profits.

Both choices is the best day and long terms is the good choice. and choosing an altcoin in the top 20 is one of the good maybe less risk than choosing a new release or ICO's coins that most of them are scam..
Better to try and test in top 20 altcoin if you are not making any profit you should change your ways in trading to make a good profit.. it is always try and test before you can be successful.
