I highly agree that still much profitable buying in top 10 on CMC before but today it really depend if the value will rise up since currently the msarket is in down trend and we don't know when it will recover.

And there is a speculation that the value of bitcoin might go down and that time we can take advantage by buying in cheap.

Yes, ethereum may be a superior product to the altcoins behind, but even if it has such advantages, buying ethereum with all our money is still impossible when it makes us too dependent on the rise of ethereum whereas if we only need to have a scattered distribution on the top altcoin, profit opportunities will be more, it may not be as high as a one-time victory with ethereum but it brings continuous and long-term profit. The all-in-one trend is no longer applicable now as the game is not just focused on the top 5 altcoins.

You should not buy any coin (not important ETH, LTC, XRP etc.) with all your money. If you want to hold only one coin, just only focus on Bitcoin.
If you want to invest in alt coins, diversity is important. Divide your money five to 10 altcoins. For more secure investment focus on top ranked coins with good projects + LTC.
If you are looking for high profit with high risk, you can focus on low ranked coins.

"dont put all your egg in one basket"

that is good advise from big investor, you can apply that advise to your investment so you dont invest all your money in one asset (even bitcoin)
diversivy your investment at least 3-5 coins, so you can get healty investment

We all hoped that ETH will be a good competitor to BTC at the end of 2017. I have invested a lot of money into ETH back then, but I am very disappointed with my decision, because it was obviously the wrong choice between ETH and BTC.

For me I would suggest that don't put all your money on investment find some other business, for now ETH is risky personally I don't know why ETH is still in dump. Its been a long time since ETH was impressive at this price.
